Are people tired of whiny, emotionally retarded Meredith Grey? Grey’s Anatomy‘s Ellen Pompeo thinks so, and wants to put Meredith out of her misery. She has suggested pretty strongly that while she’s not ready to leave the show yet, she’s not going to be around forever, either. Ellen said:

“I haven’t said I’m moving on. I said that when my contract is up after Season 8 [in two years], I would probably not renew. I think the world has had a lot of Meredith Grey.”

Huh. So without Meredith Grey, there’s really no point to the show. But two more seasons? I think by the time Season 8 is up, we’re all going to be begging Shonda Rhimes to stop making the show.
