The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico continues to destroy the waters and sea life.  BP designed a siphon to clean up the oil spill, but it isn’t cutting it.  The siphon is only removing 40% of the oil being leaked out each day.

Kevin Costner Has Baby Number 7 On The Way!!!

Kevin Costner has something much better.   He says that he was inspired by the Exxon-Valdez oil spill to invent something that could actually clean the ocean.  His invention, called Ocean Therapy was approved by the Army Corp of Engineers, and BP has agreed to use six of the inventions to try to clean the oil spill.  I’d imagine they are jumping at the chance.

Costner has been paying millions since 1989 when the Exxon-Valdez oil spill devastated Alaska waters. The device sucks out oily water, separates it, then spits the clean water back into the ocean.

“I’m just really happy that the light of day has come to this,” Costner said. “It’s prepared to go out and solve problems, not talk about them.”

I hope and pray that Kevin Costner’s invention can do the trick.  Something’s gotta give, now.

Valerie Bertinelli and her man, Tom Vitale have been together for six years and now they are ready to take the plunge. Tom popped the question while they were vacationing in Florence, Italy.

“We’d talked about getting married, but I was still shocked. It was sweet when he asked me, because he was so scared. I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ ”

Producers are claiming it’s not personal, it’s just a script change….. Shia LaBeouf will have a new love interest. Hmmm, that’s interesting.  Do I believe that?  Not for a minute.  Megan Fox is being replaced, it’s personal, but they will never own up to it.  It’s much easier to use the old ‘script change’ excuse.

All I know is, you guys better watch your back or Miss FOx might cause you “bodily harm.”  Maybe a Jennifer’s Body sequel is in order……

Has someone challenged Courtney Love to a game of Truth or Dare?  She sure seems to have a lot to get off her chest these days.  We just heard about her affair with Gwen Stefani‘s hubby Gavin Rossdale.  Now she’s claiming to have hooked up with model Kate Moss.   But Courtney says that it was just, like, this one time at band camp:

“I feel like such a kiss and tell…Kate’s a good friend of mine. It was just a thing that happened in Milan in the Nineties.  It happened and it was fun and whatever. And she talks about it and so I hope she doesn’t get mad that I outed her about it.  It’s a great story for the grandchildren.”

Oh yeah, great for the grandkids.  “Grandma?  Will you tell me the story of you and Auntie Kate doing it in Milan again?”  Good, clean bedtime story fun.  Yep.

I am still totally “high” from watching American Idol last night.  Lee Dewyze owned that show and proved he’s the one to beat.  Talk about chills and overall awe.  I have been a huge Lee Dewyze fan, but last night was over the top.

Crystal Bowersox did really well, but couldn’t hold a candle to Lee last night.  Then there was Casey James.  I am really sorry, but the only reason Casey has made it this far is because the girls are swooning.  Casey is no where near the same level of talent and artistry as Lee and Crystal.

The final two tonight should reveal Lee and Crystal, sending Casey James home.  IF that doesn’t happen.  America got it wrong and not enough people voted, period.

UPDATE: Recap/Results…

The show kicked off with the Ford Fusion commercial, Wild One.  Then we got to see Casey James’ trip home.  Then Perez Hilton (ewww) was able to introduce Travis Garland who performed to the loving crowd.  Lee is SO much better!

Next was Crystal Bowersox’ home town visit. Then it was all about Justin Bieber.  That boy sure draws a crowd and blood curdling screams.  Mostly, he just makes me feel old.

Finally the results were ready.  The first one in the finale was Lee Dewyze!!  Woooo Hooo! Yes!!  I am still cheering! Then of course, Crystal got the second spot.  Sending Casey James home.

Thank you America! You got it right!

Go Lee!

CBS is doing a little shifting around to gain more power in different time slots.  Survivor is moving to Wednesday nights at 8pm.  This is supposed be a power move by the network to win over the highest ratings in that time slot as well  hedging The Big Bang Theory and the new comedy Sh*t My Dad Says against the Thursday night competition on NBC.
