Good news!!  Jimmy Fallon has been chosen to host the Emmy Awards.  That alone makes them worth watching.  This guy is one of my all time favorite ‘funny men’ and I am really pumped to see what he will bring to the stage on August 29.

NBC  announced the good news,

“His proven skills as a comedian and host — as well as his openness to new ideas — will fully engage audiences and ultimately deliver a lively Emmy telecast,”

I agree 100%, thank you NBC for doing something right!

Jimmy is already having fun with it saying that hosting  ”has been a dream of mine ever since they told me I was doing it.”

We get the nominations for the Emmys on July 8.

Dr. Joseph Zabramski gave an overview on Bret Michaels‘ condition today from – the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital during a live press conference.

Since suffering from that tragic brain hemorrhage, Bret Michaels has been under 24/7 ICU with the best doctors in the country caring for him.

But, Bret Michaels’ sheer will to live has kept him going and the doctor’s have released him from the hospital. Bret is officially on his way to a FULL recovery!  Thank GOD!

David Letterman’s extortionist, Robert Halderman was sentenced earlier today in Manhattan Criminal Court.  He received  six months for attempting to extort $2 million from David Letterman by exposing his scandalous affair.  That sure worked out well for him, now didn’t it?

On top of the six months behind bars, Halderman will also be serving 1000 hours of community service and got probation for five years.

Today the first star from the hit show, Seinfeld is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Who got the honors first?  Nope, not Jerry Seinfeld.  It’s Julia Louis-Dreyfus.  She has been very busy since Seinfeld ended, working her own magic on The New Adventures of Old Christine on CBS.

That show is wrapping up it’s fifth season next week.

Congrats to Julia!  You have definitely earned your star!
