Jessica Simpson Wants You To Smell Her ‘Fancy Nights’ (Video)

Jessica Simpson is about to launch her third perfume, Fancy Nights. This new scent is a follow up to her two previous fragrances, Fancy and Fancy Love.

You might be a bit confused when you hear what inspired this product:

“The inspiration for Fancy Nights was one of my favorite movies of all-time, ‘Great Expectations.’ It is just one of those movies that has you wanting to feel love … and then you finally find it and it embraces you. I thought that the next fragrance should do that. Fancy Nights is all about expecting to fall in love with the aura that you are giving off … that seductive beautiful romantic side of you. You can’t ever let it go … kind of like love.”

(Can’t let it go… kind of like crack? OK, back on topic.)

Great Expectations? Really? One of the most depressing stories ever? What movie version did she watch? The only versions of that story I can think of all give off the scent of desperation and cruelty. However, Fancy Nights smells like “bergamot, papyrus, patchouli, rose and jasmine.”
