Wow.  Usually you hear about paternity tests and battles during pregnancy and/or the very early years.  Not so for Brian McKnight.

A Florida judge has ruled in the favor of Miriam Lee who filed paternity and child support docs in Orange County, FL last year claiming that Brian McKnight is the father of her teenaged son.  McKnight never fought it, so the judge ruled that he is in fact the boy’s father.

Now McKnight has to pay up for 14 years of child support which is  $341,640.  And then continue to pay $11,388 a month.  I don’t understand why it’s so much.  That 14 year old must have very expensive taste!  Ha! Just kidding.  But, those child support amounts are sometimes ridiculous.

A rep for Brian McKnight told TMZ,

“The judgment in Florida was a default judgment made without Brian present. He’s still looking to establish paternity, and is awaiting the results of a recent test.”

Don’t you think he should have done that a year ago?  Just sayin’…..
