Vanessa Williams is a freakin’ goddess.  She doesn’t age.  She always looks awesome.   And winning an award for being awesome just makes her better.  Vanessa was honored on Monday night by The Trevor Project, a national organization that focuses on preventing suicide among gay and lesbian youth.

For “leverag[ing] both her professional and personal influence in support of the LGBTQ community,” Vanessa received The Trevor Hero Award, which

annually honors an individual who, through his or her example, support, volunteerism and/or occupation, is an inspiration to LGBTQ youth.

She was grateful to receive the award, saying:

“I believe strongly in the lifesaving mission of The Trevor Project and I am honored to be recognized by an organization that provides such vital programs for our youth.  If any part of my career or the example I’ve set in my life had a positive impact on even one young person struggling to find acceptance and support of their sexual orientation or gender identity, then I am happy to have played even a small part in that.”

Way to go, Vanessa!

I know, weird right?  Not if you already knew that Jennifer Capriati’s (ex) boyfriend, Dale DaBone is a porn star.  He told TMZ that the pressures of tennis were part of what caused her OD. The other part?  His return to porn.  DaBone has already made 443 pornos and he signed on with Vivid Entertainment to star in Batman XXX: A Porn Parody.  Jennifer OD on the day The Wimbledon was on and she found out about DaBone’s return to porn.

There are only 11 days left until Carrie Underwood is permanently taken off the market.  She and Mike Fisher are set to tie the knot on July 10th near Atlanta, GA.

Mike already had his bachelor party at Mansion down in Miami, so Carrie picked another hot spot for her bachelorette party, Sin City.  Sources told L&S that,

“Around midnight on June 25, Carrie landed at Las Vegas’ Lavo nightclub with about eight girlfriends.  She was wearing a minidress and a sash that said ‘bachelorette.’”

No surprise that Carrie’s party was a classy one,

“It wasn’t a rowdy bachelorette party.  No shots or singing or anything like that. It was just a group of girls dancing and having fun!”

That’s my girl Carrie.  You know she’s not the type to lose who she is.  I am so happy for her and Mike!  And OMG!  Carrie is going to make the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen!

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green decided to quit the on again off again thing and just tie the knot already.  Yay!  They were married in an intimate ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort in Hawaii.  The happy couple became newlyweds last week with only a handful of people witnessing the big event.

Madonna and her daughter Lourdes Leon are teaming up with Iconix Brand to design a new juniors collection for Macy’s.   The line “revolves around the idea of self-expression and layering” and will offer surprisingly affordable footwear, handbags, jewelry and apparel.   The name of the collection, however, is not so surprising:  you can find Material Girl in stores August 3rd.   (Can’t wait?  Get a preview here.)
