It was a very happy 30th birthday for Jessica Simpson yesterday.  She celebrated her big birthday on a luxury yacht in Capri, Italy with her new man, Eric Johnson.

The two seem very into each other as they shared some serious PDA sessions aboard the boat.  I personally think that they make a really cute couple.  I just worry about the whole fact that he’s still married to another woman.  That is a huge factor and I would think the Jess wouldn’t want to get serious with a guy until he was at least pretty much divorced.  But, hopefully that will be in the works soon and they can build a lasting relationship.

I know that Jess wanted to be married with kids at this point in her life, I hope she gets her wish soon.

Tennis champ Serena Williams is featured in the August 2010 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.  She talks to the magazine about body image and how it took 20 years for her to stop comparing herself to her sister Venus Williams.

On accepting that she and Venus have different bodies: “I’m super-curvy. I have big boobs and this massive butt. She’s tall and she’s like a model and she fits everything.”

On her recent weight loss: “I’ve been doing Pilates and yoga, trying to lean out my body so I won’t be bulky.”

On dieting… or not: “I don’t even know the D word.”

Bobby Spillane (the son of legendary mobster Mickey Spillane) fell out of a sixth floor window in Manhattan today, TMZ has reported.   Sadly, he died at the young age of 45.

Investigators do not think that there was any sort of foul play involved, just a tragic accident.

Bobby Spillane appeared on Law & Order and Rescue Me.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

Jennifer Lopez looked relaxed and happy during a fashion shoot this week on Malibu beach.  These comfy, slouchy clothes are not the kind of thing you’d usually find J-Lo wearing, so I am curious what magazine this was for.  Good Housekeeping?  Ladies Home Journal?   Whomever it was, they chose to have Jennifer pictured with two model children instead of her own kids, Max and Emme.  Who were on the set with dad Marc Anthony, looking super cute.   Speaking of Marc, he’s looking less skeletal these days.  Did J-Lo stop sucking his life force out of him with a straw or what?

Lady Gaga is always offending someone.  In fact, she’s usually offending a lot of people.  Well, now she’s found a whole new group to piss off.  Who could that be? How about Beatles fans?  Yup.  John Lennon’s son, Sean Lennon let Lady Gaga come over and jam on the white, grand piano that John gave as a gift to Yoko Ono.

Iunderstand what Sean’s saying.  But I still don’t think that Gaga should touch it.

But I don’t mean a Katy Perry style “California Gurl.”   Here is MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in her Castro Valley High School (California) yearbook picture.  Check her out with her pearls!  And long blonde hair!  (What’s her real hair color, I wonder?) Very proper and girly.   A far cry from the soft butch look she sports now.  (Rachel herself has said, “I look like a dude.”)

She and I were in high school at the same time in the same geographic area, and her picture is definitely typical of the time and place.  My yearbook is full of girls who look pretty much just like this.  But it could be worse.  Rachel could be sporting those huge, tall, towering mall bangs that girls thought were so hawt back then!  Now that would be a picture I’d pay to see!

Vienna Girardi is pissed and rightfully so.  Those pathetic sex emails that I wrote about earlier (here) were most definitely made up by her insane, stalker ex-boyfriend, Brian Lee Smith.

Vienna Has Moved On From Jake

Vienna is ready to sue over the emails and I would do the same thing.  Those make her look like she’s been lying about everything the whole time.  They completely took away her credibility and that is so unfair.

Last year, Brian was charged with harassing Vienna after the cops had to get involved.  The guy is an obvious nut job who couldn’t get over Vienna, so he is trying to sabotage her life to pay her back.

Oh the drama continues…..
