Rumors have been floating around the internet that Chanel authority and designer Karl Lagerfeld would wield his sharp elite wit on the CW’s Gossip Girl. Wrong, wrong and more wrong says GossipCop.com.

The assumptions were made as Lagerfeld was seen with GG star Blake Lively in Paris. GGirl is filming it’s fourth season in City of Lights and Lively is just another fashionista hanging with Mr. Diet Coke.

His fashion sense is impeccable and apparently his taste in TV show guest appearances will remain above reproach.

Hugo Boss is launching a brand new men’s fragrance: BOSS Orange and they’ve snapped up Orlando Bloom to front it.

“BOSS Orange is a brand I immediately identified with because it has a laid back, spontaneous quality I relate to,” the actor says in a release.

The real bummer for Bloom fans in the US: no soup (perfume) for you! The Pirates of the Caribbean star and the scent will be overseas only. Meh…

Shakira’s 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem “Waka Waka” (which is the best get-’em-out-of-their-seats-sports-song) is a serious booty shaking delight. The singer will perform the song live at the closing ceremony on Sunday July 11th and will be dressed by the great Roberto Cavalli. Her dress will be a (surprise!) sexy showstopper: tulle, beading, embroidery, fringe animal strips, applique and all out over-the-top hotness. Cavalli also designed the opening ceremony black and white dress she rocked back in June.

The term supermodel seems so overused except when you put Cindy Crawford’s name next to it.

The 44 year old mother, mogul and model is the cover for Ladies Home Journal’s August edition. Crawford does have an idyllic life that includes her husband, restaurateur  Rande Gerber and two children: son Presley, 11 and daughter Kaia, 8. Super Cindy’s secret to happiness? Forget the destination, it’s the journey:

“I think I’m holding up pretty well, but what I like most is the sense of power I have. So much of your life you spend trying to prove yourself, trying to make things happen, trying to get somewhere else. But then you get into your late 30s and 40s and realize life is pretty amazing right in front of you if you can just be present in it.”

Crawford goes on to say: “I don’t long to be anywhere other than where I am now. I think that’s what happens as you get older. Life is where you are. Whatever you’re doing is enough. You don’t need to do everything well all the time. Just be your best self. When you start living that way, it’s a huge relief.”

Well, after Jeremy London was kidnapped and forced into doing drugs, I suppose he could be afraid of having a full relapse.  And if that is the case, good for him.  If he has a real problem, which everyone believes he does, hopefully Celebrity Rehab will help him out.  He wants the world to believe that he’s been sober and clean, that he only did those drugs because he was forced to.  But then joins Celebrity Rehab?  That isn’t helping his credibility at all.

Chris Evans is set to star in the upcoming film Captain America: The First Avenger. Here’s what he had to say about the costume and shield.

“It’s an amazing costume. Given the fact that his costume is red, white and blue, and it’s tight, and it could be kind of flash and over the top – and given the fact that the movie takes place in the ‘40s and ‘50s – they’ve done a really good job of making it look really cool. I think everyone that’s going to see it is going to say, ‘Okay, well done. Well done. I think they got the costume right. The casting they completely ruined, but the costume they nailed!’ …

We’ve been testing a lot of shields. Last time I was in London they had six shields and I had to hold each one, see if I was comfortable with each one, see which one we all thought had the right look. The thing is pretty heavy, so I’m not sure I can throw it that far! I’ll give it my best shot, but hopefully they’ll have some sort of stunt shield when it comes to actually chucking it!”

Sounds like he’s pretty excited to be the iconic character. This movie is really going to be hard to pull off without being cheezy, hope it works! Look for this movie in theaters July 22, 2011.

It was reported earlier this week that the 23rd James Bond film was no longer on hold, but cancelled outright. This is not true, Daniel Craig and director Sam Mendes are still waiting until MGM’s financial issues are resolved.

Late last night THR ran a piece that didn’t present much new info, but came to the same conclusion we did on Tuesday: nothing new to see here, reports of Bond’s death are exaggerated. And now Deadline says that, unless a pre-packaged bankruptcy is part of MGM’s debt relief, Bond won’t be going anywhere. No sale, no transfer. Furthermore, Mike Fleming relates that he’s been told that both Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig plan to come back to Bond once MGM’s situation is resolved.

Good news for Bond fans (including myself). But really, do they expect anyone to believe that another Bond film won’t be made? It’s just a delay, calm down people.
