Judd Apatow is set to produce the new Pee-wee Herman film that is in development.

Judd Apatow is developing an untitled Pee-wee Herman feature for Universal that Paul Reubens is writing with thesp-scribe Paul Rust (“Inglourious Basterds,” “I Love You, Beth Cooper”). Apatow will produce through his Apatow Prods. banner, though he will not helm the project. Pic is described as featuring the iconic geek — known for his love of toys and nerdy catchphrases like “I know you are, but what am I?” — in a road pic built around “a gigantic adventure.”

“Let’s face it, the world needs more Pee-wee Herman,” Apatow told Daily Variety. “I am so excited to be working with Paul Reubens — who is an extraordinary and ground-breaking actor and writer. It’s so great to watch him return with such relevance.”

This movie is probably going to be great, especially with Apatow behind it. I’m looking forward too seeing this one develop, hope we see it by 2012.

Former Ugly Betty star, Becki Newton is pregnant with her first baby!  Funny thing is, in her new show’s pilot for Love Bites, she’s a virgin.  So they are going to have to do some serious re-writing to fix that whole baby bump issue that will be coming up.

Becki and her hubby, Chris Diamantopoulos have been married for five years and are so excited for their first little bundle of joy.

Filming will be pushed back until they find an executive producer and fix a few casting issues.

It’s official, a new Spider-Man has been cast. Relatively unknown Andrew Garfield has been cast as the high school aged web slinger.

Yesterday it was announced that 26-year-old British actor Andrew Garfield (Boy A, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The Social Network) has been cast as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in Marc Webb’s 3D Spider-Man reboot. The selection of Garfield was revealed at a press event in Cancun, Mexico for international journalists attending a media tour promoting upcoming films from Sony Pictures Entertainment.

I’m glad they went with somebody who isn’t all that known, and he looks about 1000% more like Peter Parker than Tobey Maguire ever did.

Robin Williams wants to play The Riddler in the upcoming Dark Knight sequel.

“I would do Batman in a second,” says Williams. “I’d play The Riddler in the next one, although it would be hard to top Heath Ledger as the villain and I’m a little hairy for tights.”

In the past, Williams was actually offered the role of The Joker and The Riddler but overlooked it.

Of course now that his career has cooled off he would want to play in a huge upcoming movie. Seriously though, I hope he’s not picked as The Riddler, he’s just too much. Christopher Nolan will probably pick a non-comedian.

Lindsay Lohan was out at Voyeur nightclub last night celebrating her 24th birthday when a waitress came up and punched her in the face!  Lilo immediately went to her Twitter saying,

“A waitress just hit me – punched me for no reason.”

Someone at the club saw what happened,

“The waitress has a history with Doug Reinhardt, and Lohan was hanging out with him. She was jealous, and out of nowhere, the waitress punched her in the face!  Doug didn’t want any part of it and went to the other side of the booth. Lohan ran out.”

Doug is a complete tool.  What kind of a guy does that?!

So Lindsay decided to party at Rockstar House instead and the crazy waitress was there too!

Here’s the new trailer for the upcoming film RED starring Bruce Willis, Mary Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich and Morgan Freeman.

This movie looks like a whole lot of fun, I’d watch it based on this trailer alone. The star power is a big draw with this one too, I can’t wait to see Helen Mirren as a badass.

Entourage’s Kevin Connolly ran into The Bachelorette’s Ali Fedotowsky in L.A. at Dan Tana’s when she was having a girl’s night out. Despite the fact that Ali is currently planning her wedding and was likely talking about that very thing with the girls, Kevin made his move.  A L&S insider said,

“Ali was eating dinner at Dan Tana’s in Los Angeles with a bunch of gal pals on June 30, and Kevin came in to eat by himself at the bar.  It looked like Kevin couldn’t help but to go over to her table and introduce himself.  With a big smile on his face, he shook Ali’s hand and told her he was a big fan. He even sat and chatted with Ali and the girls for at least 15 minutes and sent a round of drinks over to their table.”

“Kevin appeared smitten and excited to meet Ali,” continues the eyewitness. “He was making all of the girls laugh and was eating it up!

Well, I suppose that Kevin could wait in the wings to see if things work out for Ali and her fiance.  If things fall apart, Kevin could sweep in and win Ali’s heart, right?

Stylist Nicola Formichetti isn’t fooling anyone by claiming that the model featured in a Vogue Hommes Japan photoshoot preview is a guy named Jo Calderone.   It’s pretty obvious that it’s Nicola’s regular client, Stefani Germanotta, by which I mean Lady Gaga.   I’d know that nose anywhere.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was the largest Wednesday movie opening in history with $68.5 million!

“Eclipse” rung up $68.5 million in Wednesday coin. That set a new record for first-day boxoffice on a Wednesday, featuring more than $30 million in grosses from 4,416 theaters programming the vampire-romance threequel for midnight Tuesday performances.

Clearly as popular as ever, this series just keeps the money river flowing. The movie is obviously going to dominate this entire weekend and maybe even the next one.
