There has been an official announcement by ABC.  But I guess that Troy Aikman decided to take things into his own hands last night when he left Red O in Los Angeles by announcing that he will be joining the cast of Dancing With The Stars in the upcoming season.

I think that Troy will do an amazing job and should make it to the finals.  He’s hot and you know that boys has some smooth moves.  Can’t wait!

The Bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft found love with her hunky man, Tye Strickland and now the still newlyweds are expecting their first baby together.

Melissa talked about her baby news on GMA this morning,

“Apparently Tye and I wanted to see how many life-changing events we could fit into one calendar year,” Rycroft said, while sharing her news Wednesday on Good Morning America, “from getting engaged, married, new job, and we are now pregnant.” The reality star also joked that right now she has a “baby pooch,” though “the baby bump will come later.”

I have been in Bret Michaels‘ corner since day one, hoping that he would get Simon Cowell’s spot on the American Idol judge’s panel.  But it seems that another great candidate has come to the surface.   Jessica Simpson has been in talks with the Idol peeps having “several meetings” and sources are saying that there is a “mutual interest.”

Diablo Cody (Juno screenwriter) and her husband, Dan Maurio welcomed their first baby yesterday (July 28.)  Diablo shared the happy news with her fans via Twitter,

“We had our boy early this morning! Marcello Daniel Maurio, 7lbs, 2 oz, lightly mustachioed.”

Amazing.  Simply amazing.  This story might just inspire you to do a little more yard sale-ing than you used to.  This antique shopper, Rick Norsigian paid $45 back in 2000 for 65 glass negatives that he bought at a yard sale in southern California.  The dude who sold him these negatives said that he got them at a warehouse salvage in Los Angeles.

I’ll bet he wishes he would have hung on to them now!  They are worth at least $200 million…. and why?  Because they are the works of the famed photographer Ansel Adams.

Wow.  Why doesn’t this happen to me?  Oh yeah.  I don’t really do yard sales.  But you know what?  If I can go and find me some Ansel Adams work I am all about it!

Congratulations to Rick!  You have found yourself a piece of art history.  Ansel Adams is beyond amazing.  You better hang onto those!
