There is a new happy MARRIED couple in the music industry. Drake and Nicki Minaj have tied the knot.  They both Tweeted the news and I love what Drake had to say:

“@nickiminaj Baby I am never scared. PROUD is more the word I would use.”

“Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and dont stare at her too long. She’s finally mine. ”

George Michael shared with his fans that he is making his best efforts to get clean and sober after his latest arrest for crashing into Snappy Snaps in London on the 4th of July.

Paris Hilton Arrested For Cocaine – PHOTOS

He wrote a letter on his site:

“My dear fans, as usual I am overwhelmed by the support and genuine concern that so many of you around the world have expressed in recent weeks.

“I want to thank you all sincerely, and also to reassure those of you who worry so much for me. I fully appreciate the seriousness of my current situation, for which I truly apologise.

“You will understand that it would be wrong of me to go into details before the court case has ended. But I feel you should know that on the day after the incident I checked in to a clinic for a 14-day detox program here in London, which has been followed by ongoing outpatient drug counselling several times a week.

“Personal problems which I had tried to deal with myself had clearly got the better of me, and I am sorry that my pride has prevented me from seeking help before now. I would also like to express my thanks to those whose discretion allowed me to begin this process in private, which has helped me greatly.”

My question is, did he do the rehab just to save face in court?  Or does he really want to change his ways?  He’s due in court for sentencing next month where he could very likely face jail time.

What’s your take?  Is George Michael sincere?

Karina Smirnoff is heading back to Dancing With the Stars after taking a break last season.  One of her friends dished to In Touch,

“She always wanted to be back in the spotlight.”

“She thinks he’s cute!” the friend says.

Last night Paris Hilton and her boyfriend, Cy Waits were partying down in Las Vegas.  Why they were driving around in a limo instead of driving themselves around will forever boggle my mind.  Anyhow, by the end of the night, Cy was arrest for DUI (drugs) and Paris was arrested for possession of cocaine.  Paris claims the purse in which it was found in the car was not hers.  She was booked and released after hiring David Chesnoff to represent her.  He’s a big time lawyer who knows how to work the system.

Nicole Scherzinger has decided that being a Pussycat Doll, Dancing With The Stars winner, and X Factor judge just isn’t enough.  She wants to act, too.  She’ll make her debut in an upcoming episode of How I Met Your Mother.

Nicole will play Jessica Glitter, ex-best friend to Robin Sparkle, whom fans know as Robin’s (Cobie Smulders) Canadian pop star alter ego.   Executive producer Craig Thomas said:

‘It’s going to be a satisfying third chapter in the Robin Sparkles trilogy. It’s a prequel to both “Let’s Go to the Mall” and “Sandcastles in the Sand”.’

Hilarious.  I love the Robin Sparkles material on HIMYM.    I am not a huge fan of stunt casting, and I am relatively certain Nicole Scherzinger has no acting skills whatsoever, and I totally slacked off watching the show this past season, but I’m not going to miss this.

And now from the “Oh, please…” file.  Tiki Barber‘s mistress Traci Lynn Johnson is insistent that she was not the reason Tiki left his wife Ginny Barber.  Traci claims:

“I knew that Tiki didn’t leave Ginny when she was eight months pregnant for me. I knew that his relationship had deteriorated before my relationship with him was even a thought in his mind.”

Oh, I see.  So it’s fine to mess with a guy whose wife is pregnant with twins if their marriage was already bad.  Gotcha.

Traci got hers though, when the story about her relationship with the former NFL running back broke:

“crying to Tiki . . . begging him to . . . scream it from the top of 30 Rock, to simply tell the world the truth because I thought it was destroying me, him . . . Tiki sat me down . . . and said, ‘Nothing that I can say will change their perception.’”

No one told her that getting involved with a huge local celebrity under less than honorable circumstances was probably going to get her talked about?  Come on!  Was she really that naive?

So was all the drama worth it for these scandalous love birds? Traci says:

“they enjoy watching rented movies ‘or enjoying an episode of ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman’ . . . you can find us at a cozy wine bar with friends or playing in a co-ed softball league.’”

Looks like Tiki got his, too, then.  Dude left a 10 year marriage so he could stay at home and watch reruns.   Traci must be really good in the sack, then.  Have fun with that one, Tiki.

Lindsay Lohan is really feeling like a free woman now and who can blame her?  After being locked up in jail, sporting the ucky jumpsuit, then hauled off to rehab, girl needed some fresh air….. and so did her rack.
