Out Of The Closet – Anderson Cooper Is Gay?

Cooper has just signed on with Warner Bros. to do a weekday talk show that is set to hit the waves next fall (2011.)  CNN’s president, Jim Walton is pretty pumped on more Anderson Cooper air time,

“I am pleased that Anderson Cooper has extended his relationship with CNN and will be with us for years to come.  I am also pleased to congratulate Anderson on his new relationship with Telepictures. We think it will be good for Anderson, good for CNN and good for Time Warner.”

So congrats to Anderson.  I am sure your fans are thrilled.

Audrina Patridge was clearly very upset in the behinds the scenes footage shown on last week’s episode of Dancing With The Stars.  She’s been known to date less that understanding guys and um, sort of control freaks.

I am afraid she’s with another one of those.  Her relationship status right now?  Taken.  Yep, she’s still with Corey Bohan who seemed to be the big problem for her last week.  His jealously of her time in the studio was a huge distraction for her.

It looks like when that footage aired, Audrina was forced to backpedal when she spoke with People,

“Corey is supportive.  He understands now, we’ve had a little talk about things, so it’s been great.”

Yeah, I’ve heard that one before Audrina.  You need the perfect guy and he’s not the one.  Sorry to say, I predict Audrina will be single again, soon.

American Idol Jordin Sparks is the latest celebrity to jump on the celebrity fragrance bandwagon.  She is launching her new fragrance, Because of You, this week.

Jordin said she wanted her perfume to “transfer easily from day to night” so she created a “fruity floriental” with

scent has top notes of clementine, white imperial currant and orange blossom; a heart of nectarine, sharry baby orchid and coral charm peony, and an undertone of sheer musks.

Despite all that sounding very fancy, she had affordability in mind from the beginning of this venture.

“When I was starting this project, I really wanted it to be affordable…I looked at some other celebrity fragrances, and they were like $80. Even now, I look at a fragrance that’s $80, and I can’t bring myself to spend that much.  In this economy especially, my fans deserve a high-quality, reasonably priced scent.”

That said, Because Of You will sell for a very reasonable $14.95.

Is a perfume really any more appealing because it has a celebrity’s name on it?  I saw Shakira‘s new fragrance at CVS yesterday and thought, really?  Isn’t that a bit mass market?   Way to keep your name out there and all, but I just found that kind of depressing.

Dita Von Teese was seen out and about at Paris Fashion Week Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2011 – Sonia Rykiel in the arrivals area and OMG!  When I first saw her “hat” I went into hysterics!  The first thing tha popped into my head was Dr. Suess’ Horton Hears A Who.  The clover that Horton carried and protected with the spec full of Who’s on it…. it’s jumbo sized and sitting on Dita’s head!

Olivia Munn was sort of a plain Jane at the Comedy Central event, Night of Too Many Stars : An Overbooked Concert for Autism Education in New York City  last night.  And she is the perfect kind of simple beauty.  I love her outfit, the high waisted skirt, flowy tanks, and sexy boot heels, with the pop of the Autism pin…. perfect.

Will Ferrell is my hero.  Well, he is one of them.  In the laughing department, Will is the man.  I love this guy.  He teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to break the Guinness World Record for the largest Superhero gathering in celebration of the Megamind release at L.A. Live Nokia Plaza.

Richard Hilfiger, son of the Tommy Hilfiger won’t be facing any charges for the night he was busted in West Hollywood back in July. The L.A. County District Attorney said that he only had two ounces of weed which he has a prescription for and that didn’t prove anything about the “inent to sell” issue.

Congrats To Tommy Hilfiger! It’s Baby Number 7!

So that is a a relief for Richard and the whole Hilfiger family.  I am just really curious what his Rx is actually prescribed for.

Most of you won’t think it’s bashing.  But that’s exactly what I think Melissa Etheridge is doing when she’s says the things she does in reference to her ex, Tammy Lynn Michaels.

It’s only been six months since their infamous split and Etheridge is blabbing to People about moving on, dating again,

“You gotta be fearless about these things.  There is no fear when you choose love.  The more you choose love, the more love is in your life. It gets easier and easier.”

Sure.  And you used to love Tammy, right?

Etheridge continued to make this all about herself,

“I have four kids,” Etheridge said. “It’s hard because, of course, it’s easier with two [parents], but you’re a mom and you do what you do.”

Tammy was being a mom right along side her.  But is Melissa saying that?  Giving her any credit?  No.  She goes on to say just much happier she is with out Tammy,

“You just have to be truthful.  They can see the reasons that people aren’t together … and understand that it’s more peaceful and happier.”
