Lindsay Lohan VS The Paparazzi

Lindsay Lohan has had her fill of the paparazzi being in her face and she’s trying to get them legally removed from her personal space.

She got her drivers license back and the okay from Betty Ford to drive herself around and her daddy even gave her his car to use. Well now she’s lost permission.  The Betty Ford clinic thinks that because the paparazzi are stalking Lindsay so hard that it makes it unsafe to drive, so no more freedom for Lilo.

So she took a bunch of pictures of her “stalking” paparazzi and sent them to her lawyer, requesting that she get a restraining order from the judge to protect Lindsay and make it safe for her to drive once again.

The judge hasn’t ruled yet.

I don’t know what to think about this one.  Being a celebrity brings paparazzi.  Being a celebrity with a track record like Lindsay brings 24/7 paparazzi.  Yes, she brought this on herself, but it would be nice if they’d lay off a bit so she could at least drive safely.

What do you think the judge should do?

The Willie Nelson Mugshot Is Not Pretty

It’s pretty pathetic.  How pitiful does Willie Nelson look in this mugshot?  You can’t help but feel sorry for the old guy.  He just wants to smoke his weed and mind his business.  What’s wrong with that?

I really hope that he doesn’t end up having to do jail time for his pot smokin’ ways.  Can you imagine Willie Nelson behind bars?  Yeah, me either.  I bet the inmates would enjoy his company though.  He could provide a lot of solid entertainment!

Good luck Willie!

Deadliest Catch – Jake Harris Investigated For Drugs

The Deadliest Catch has been dealing some troubles that we were all unaware of after the death of Captain Phil Harris.  The current captain that took over for Phil, Captain Derek Ray called cops on Phil’s son, Jake Harris, claiming that he was abusing prescription drugs on board the Cornelia Marie.

The Unalaska Department of Public Safety searched the boat but didn’t find enough evidence to bust Jake.

A rep for Jake told TMZ,

“The facts of the case speak for itself, the Unalaska Department of Public Health has confirmed that no charges will be filed as a result of the investigation. Jake is looking forward to returning as part of the Cornelia Marie crew to the Bering Sea for the opilio crab season in January. “

That Derek Ray is a real peach.  Way to watch out for your crew.  If Jake has a problem, calling the cops on him isn’t the best way to help.  How about an intervention?

The Kardashian Kard Is Kanceled

I had no idea that the Kardashians were working with MasterCard.  I thought their world domination remained in the clothing and entertainment industry.

They had a prepaid debit card backed by MasterCard ready for “release” but have now pulled out because it supposedly had hidden and possibly illegal fees attached to it.

The Kardashian Kard will not happen.  They gave a ”Notice of Termination” to the companies backing the card.   The Attorney General of Connecticut opened an investigation to determine if the card violates consumer protection laws and they didn’t like the negative press they were getting from it.

The reported “costs” of owning the card were ridiculous: $9.95 to own, a monthly fee of $7.95 and $1.50 every time the owner wants to add funds to the card.

The  lawyers wrote,

“The Kardashians have worked extremely long and hard to create a positive public persona that appeals to everyone, particularly young adults.” And that the investigation “threatens everything for which [The Kardashians] have worked” — so the family has decided to “terminate the agreement … effective immediately.”

All I want to know is who was actually going to “buy” one of these cards in the first place?  I think it’s a little freaky for the Kardashians to have a debit card.  Weird.

Mark Ruffalo is a Terrorist!? Homeland Security Thinks So!

Mark Ruffalo has been added to the U.S. Terror Watch List.

Actor Mark Ruffalo has reportedly been added to a terror advisory watchlist by Pennsylvania’s Office of Homeland Security, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The star of Shutter Island and The Kids Are All Right ended up in the proverbial scope of U.S. officials after earlier this year organizing screenings of writer-director Josh Fox‘s controversial documentary Gasland and voicing his opposition to natural gas drilling.

Ruffalo, who recently wrapped writer-director Kenneth Lonergan‘s feature film drama Margaret with Matt Damon and Anna Paquin, isn’t fazed by the surprise notoriety, tellingGQ magazine that he finds the situation “pretty f–kin’ funny.”

It is pretty funny! Goes to show how little it takes to be put on a list, makes you wonder how many lists you might be on for things you say out loud. It’s crazy that stuff like this happens in a country where we have the “freedom” to say whatever we want.

James Franco and Anne Hathaway Set to Host ’83rd Annual Academy Awards’

James Franco and Anne Hathaway are set to host the 83rd Annual Academy Awards!

Oscar telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced just now that “James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons— fresh, exciting and multi-talented. We hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on February 27. We are completely thrilled that James and Anne will be joining forces with our brilliant creative team to do just that.”

Very young hosts this year, it’s an interesting choice. Much like the expansion of the Best Picture category from 5 to 10 films that started last year, this seems like an attempt to bring up the ratings by pulling in a younger audience. They are actually both very talented and funny, I’m sure they will be great.
