The “Ugly Betty” murderer, Michael Brea, who lopped off his mother’s head yesterday with a sword (details here)  has been charged with 2nd degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to TMZ.

The whole samurai sword this was false, but it was still some sort of thee foot blade…still really scary.

Michael Brea will be arraigned sometime today… where I hope they lock him up and throw away the key!

After being separated for two months now, George Lopez’s wife Ann filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

Ann Serrano Lopez wants spousal support (of course) and primary custody of their daughter, Mayan who is 14.

This is a sad one for me.  These two have been married for over 17 years and their teenage daughter is going to suffer big time from this split.  Those long lasting marriages hurt the worst when they end.

I am sure Mayan is hurting this Thanksgiving.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston finally welcomed their precious baby boy, Benjamin.  He was born in a Florida hospital…I wonder if it was the same one as Celine Dion’s?

He weighed in at 8 pounds, 3 ounces.  Their rep gave this statement:

“John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family.  Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully.”

Congratulations to the whole family.  What wonderful new blessing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Check out the just-released poster for the upcoming miniseries The Kennedys.  Katie Holmes looks so much like Jackie Kennedy it’s eerie.

Mrs. Kennedy’s style was so iconic and distinctive, and Katie says that this is lovingly recreated in the movie:

“I feel so lucky. We have these wonderful seamstresses who are creating beautiful dresses that are obviously replicas of real things [Kennedy] wore. Her great style was both appropriate for every event that she went to and also classic, and also things that were wearable. I feel really lucky to be playing her.”

The Kennedys will air on the History Channel in early 2011. I will definitely be tuning in.

Courtney Love has gone and gotten herself into trouble again.  She’s being sued by jeweler Jacob & Co. because she has not returned some pricey jewelry that was loaned to her.

The New York Daily News reports that a few months ago, Courtney borrowed “two white-gold and diamond chains, a white-gold floral mesh cuff bracelet and a set of white-gold and diamond hoop earrings.”    She only returned the bracelet, however, and now Jacob & Co. wants either their stuff back, or $113,700 to cover it.

If she wanted to keep these pieces so badly, presumably she has enough money to just buy them.  This is not the first time, however, that she’s had jewelry go missing.   So what do you think Courtney did with the chains and earrings?

Tonight is the grand finale of Dancing With The Stars.  It’s going to be an insane night with intense vibes all around.  With all of the controversy that Bristol Palin has brought to the set, at no fault of her own, things are really different this season.

Last night everyone proved just how much they want to win and just how much they’ve each grown during the competition.  It’s going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out.

Jennifer Grey is the best of the best.  Bristol Palin has come the farthest.  Who’s most deserving?  It’s anybody’s guess at this point!

Christina Aguilera is the gust performer and each pair will be doing two more dances.  It’s going to be a great ending to an amazing season.

Update - Congrats to Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough!  They took the Mirror Ball Trophy!  Kyle and Lacey received 2nd and Bristol and Mark 3rd.  Congrats to everyone for making this far!  It was a fantastic season and everyone should be very proud!

My faves all season long Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough got the perfect score last night on Dancing with the Stars for both numbers.  They did last week too!  Can you say on fire?!

For their second dance, Jen and Derek rocked the Freestyle to the music of “Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance)”—The Contours.  I think that this is the sure thing for the win… don’t you think so?

Always the judge’s favorites, Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough were insanely good last night on Dancing with the Stars.  I have been in Jen’s corner since the beginning.  She’s a natural and is by far the best we’ve seen all season.

Derek and Jennifer did the Paso Doble to the music of “Habañera” by Georges Bizet.  It was breathtaking to say the least.  She has grown so much.  They received perfect 30s for both dances.
