The male model takes it all.

In a final display of savvy social skills and physical prowess, Judson “Fabio” Birza took home the final prize giving the 21 year-old not only the title, but the record holding youngest ever Survivor champ to date to take the million dollar prize.

The Survivor: Nicaragua edition concluded December 19th with Birza, winning the final three immunity challenges to get him to the last Tribal Council meeting and scoring 5 votes. His two surviving competitors: Chase Rice had a final tally of 4 and Matt ‘Sash’ Lenahan received 0 votes.

Congrats to Birza.

Correction: Birza’s vote total was incorrectly listed as 6. The actual number was 5.

Suri Cruise Still Can’t Walk!

Suri Cruise is a study in contrasts.  At four years old, she owns an iPad, wears lipstick and rocks the high heels, but also still drinks out of a bottle and evidently still has trouble walking on her own.  Attention, Mama Katie Holmes!  Why are you still carrying your child?  Put her down already!

Vanessa Hudgens Celebrates Her Birthday Looking Kinda Used Up

Is this  a red carpet picture of Vanessa Hudgens, or a mug shot?  Vanessa celebrated her 22nd birthday this weekend, and it showed.  She arrived at her party at Pure Nightclub in Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas looking like she’d already been hitting the sauce a bit too hard.   Has she been drinking her way through her break up with Zac Efron?  Or is she so happy to be rid of him that she can’t slow down?

Barbie and Ken Get Their Own ‘Toy Story’ Short Film

Barbie and Ken from Toy Story 3 are reportedly getting their very own short film called Hawaii.

Back in June Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich revealed that they planned to keep the characters alive by using them in a series ofToy Story short films, to appear before their full-length features. Now we know what the first everToy Story short will be about.

Story artist Floyd Numan says he’s seen the short, to be titled Hawaii and Digital Spycaught him on twitter when he revealed what it’s about. Says Numan, “Ken and Barbie want to go to Hawaii.”

Sounds like a great idea, Pixar always seems to be on top of their game. Seeing more of these characters after the trilogy will always be welcome, especially since this is the only way we’ll see more of them. Hawaii will be attached at the beginning of another new Pixar film, Cars 2 perhaps? Or will we have to wait until next December with Brave?

‘Tron’ Beats ‘Yogi’

This past weekend (Dec. 17-19, 2010) was dominated by Tron Legacy which came in at #1 on the chart with $44 million beating Yogi Bear which made only $16.4. The only other movie opening in the top 10 was How Do You Know with only $7.4 million. Bad news for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader which has only made a total of $42.7 million, this could really effect the possibility of another sequel.

New Blu-ray Releases December 21st, 2010: Full List

Blu-ray is the new standard, DVD is on its way out and every week they are releasing many films on the relatively new format. Here’s the full list of Blu-ray movies out this week on December 21st, 2010.

Its a short list of Blu-rays this week, which is a bit surprising since these are the last new releases before Christmas! I think the highlight is the third Star Wars spoof Family Guy: It’s a Trap! Salt was a pretty good movie but not one I would buy. And finally Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is out, guess I really need to watch the first one!

Paris Hilton’s Christmas Card: Have Yourself A Skanky Little Christmas

Ho, ho, ho….is that Santa?  Nope, it’s just me, calling it like I see it on Paris Hilton‘s 2010 Christmas card.

Does this quasi-Christina Aguilera look jingle your bell?  Why is Paris sitting in a chair that looks like a cross between an electric chair and one of those hood hair dryer things?   And why did she decide that a shot of her looking like an advertisement for a cheap-ass soft core bondage titty bar was any way to send holiday greetings?    This might be a Merry Christmas for someone, but I hope they remember to take their antibiotics the next day.

‘Paul’ Trailer is Alien!

Here’s the trailer for the new comedy Paul starring Simon Peg, Nick Frost, Jason Bateman and Kristen Wiig.

All these comics make me want to see the movie, but I really wish it wasn’t Seth Rogen‘s voice as Paul, it just seems distracting to me. Hopefully the movie’s comedic merits will help distract from the big voice on this little alien.

Eva Mendes Gave Up Convent Dreams For Cold, Hard Cash

Picture this:  Eva Mendes as a nun.  Ridiculous, right?  And yet, that was her childhood dream – at least until she found out just how much money women in religious orders make, or rather, don’t make.  She said:

“We didn’t grow up with a lot of money so I would always tell my mum, ‘Mummy I am going to buy you a big house when I grow up, and a car.’   And my sister said to me one day when I was ten, ‘How are you going to buy mum all these things? You are going to be a nun and nuns don’t get paid.’

“I said, ‘What?’ and that was it, my convent dreams were over.”

WILL FERRELL & EVA MENDES SHOOT IT UP IN MADRID (PHOTOS)

Well, lucky for us!  And with an estimated $12 million net worth, Eva’s got plenty of money to buy her mom just about anything she wants.

Natalie Portman Covers Vogue

Natalie Portman glides onto the cover of Vogue for January 2011. The Black Swan star’s latest cover is very similar (and inferior) to her first US Vogue cover in 2002 (see the original and the critique here.) For the first issue of 2011, Portman talks about her eating habits and how we need more females who are responsible for how women are seen in movies and art:

Living up to her own standards: “I swear, I eat . . . I consume my own weight in hummus every day. I cook a lot, and I even do vegan baking. I like pleasure, I like joy. I’d never get to the point where I would starve or injure myself like Nina does. I’m the opposite—when I’m hungry, I eat, and I always make sure I’m eating something delicious. I’m tough on myself in terms of the standards I want to live up to, but that’s also part of my pleasure: knowing you are being your fullest self. Being your fullest self is a lot of work.”

Objects versus subjects: “”We’re [her production company] very into female comedies; there just aren’t enough. We’re trying to go for that guy-movie tone, like Judd Apatow’s movies, or The Hangover but with women—who are generally not allowed to be beautiful and funny, and certainly not vulgar. There’s a difference between being in a bra and underpants as an object on a men’s-magazine cover and playing yourself—a woman with desires and needs who loves and laughs with her friends—in a bra and underpants. You become an object if you simply put it out there. Most movies are made by men, it’s totally natural that they’re going to present their worldview, so we’re trying to find more women who are writers and directors who are expressing their worldview. Did you see Tiny Furniture? Lena Dunham wrote, directed, and starred in it; she’s 23, and it is just amazing. She walks around in her underwear for the whole movie; it’s harsh. She’s the subject, she’s not the object, and it’s beautiful—that’s the kind of thing we need more of.”

Portman just nabbed a Golden Globe Award nomination and one for the SAG awards as well in the Best Female Drama categories for her role in Black Swan. An Oscar nod could be next. It’s a great start for 2011.
