Here’s the new movie for the upcoming film The Lincoln Lawyer starring Matthew McConaughey.
This movie actually looks like it might be good, but it’s hard for me to get past the fact that McConaughey has the lead role. It just seems like there are about 50 better choices. He should stick to chick flicks.

Here’s the first look at the upcoming film Fast Five starring Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel.
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast Five. In this installment, former cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race.
I’m glad Dwayne Johnson has finally gotten back to his action roots, it’s where he belongs. Now Vin Diesel is trying to get back to being an action star, I’m not so hopeful for him.

Blu-ray is the new standard, DVD is on its way out and every week they are releasing many films on the relatively new format. Here’s the full list of Blu-ray movies out this week on December 14th and 17th, 2010.
This week’s biggest highlight is the hilarious comedy The Other Guys. Another one that some people may be excited about is The A-Team, which I still haven’t seen. Additionally Despicable Me and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole are out for the kiddies. And finally the critically acclaimed MicMacs is out from the director of Amelie and City of Lost Children, I’m renting that one ASAP!

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader took the #1 slot this weekend with a moderate $24.5 million. The new Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp movie The Tourist opened at #2 with $17 million. And finally the critically acclaimed Black Swan opened at #6 with $5.6 million despite it only opening in 90 theaters!

I haven’t even seen all of these movies yet but I plan on seeing them all! There are obviously going to be variations and surprises when nominations are announced. All of these movies are up for critic awards already. The official nominations for the The 83rd Academy Awards will be announced on January 25, 2011 at 5:30 a.m. PT. and the ceremony will be held on February 27, 2011.

Elizabeth Hurley and her husband of three years, Arun Nayar have separated. The model and mother confirmed the separation on twitter after reports of an affair with Australian Cricket player Shane Warne surfaced with photos and video of the two leaving a restaurant this week. About her separation, Hurley said via the social network:
“Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this.
While Liz does not elaborate on the date she and Nayar called it quits, the two were photographed at the beginning of November at an event and they were still wearing their rings.
Warne revealed on his website that he has also parted ways with his wife Simone:
“Sadly and unfortunately, Simone and I split up a while ago, our close friends and family were informed at that time It is a private matter so we did not make it public. We remain friends and will continue to be good parents.”
Followers to both stars twitter accounts have seen the two exchange tweets for a while and the duo were photographed together back in July at the Goodwood Races in the UK, where it is presumed they first met.

The Plaza Hotel in New York City was the scene of the 2010 NY Stage and Film Gala Honors annual event to recognize artists who make significant contributions to the theater.
Christina Ricci, Jon Hamm and his girlfriend, actress Jennifer Westfeldt, attended the benefit that had cocktails, dinner and a silent auction along with Broadway entertainment.
