Britney Spears Tells Off Mags, Liars & Jason Alexander!

Britney Spears is fighting mad.

The pop star has been besieged with rumors about her fiance Jason Trawick, and his alleged physical abuse. Star magazine and Radar Online have published reports and secret audio tapes that Spears ex-husband (of 55 hours) Jason Alexander claims to have made while Britney confided in him. (See that story here.)

On Thursday afternoon, the singer grabbed her twitter account and posted her simple, eloquent response:

“Star Magazine, Radar Online, Jason Alexander and the rest of you liars, Ya’ll can kiss my lily white southern Louisiana ass!”

The girl still has fight in her!

She will appear on the super-sized episode of Glee that follows the ultimate football championship – the Super Bowl. Angelina Jolie’s Directorial Debut Drawing Fire From Victims Group

The filming of her directorial debut in Bosnia has not gone without it’s glitches but Angelina Jolie has carried on with her still-untitled love story of a Serbian man who falls for a Bosnian Muslim woman as the 1992 – 1995 confict begins.

The biggest hitch has been the criticism she has received from some Bosnian war victims of sexual violence who are angry and voicing concern that the movie will romanticize war. The (rumored) plot line causing the controversy involves a raped woman who falls in love with her captor.

The outcry got the attention of a Bosnian minister who yanked a filming permit and forced Jolie and the crew to move to Budapest. Jolie believes those complaints are premature:

“There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters, and that will be revealed once the film is released … My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film.”

Unfortunately for Jolie, the Women Victims of War isn’t waiting and intends to oust her as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations. Bakira Hasecic, head of the organization, is addressing the blistering letter to the refugee agency of the UN that Jolie has worked so closely with for years.

Whatever this film (which Jolie wrote the screenplay for) is ultimately about and how the characters are portrayed is going to be kept under wraps until the movie is closer to release. I’d like to think Jolie won’t be disrespectful to women who have suffered terribly in the Bosnian War and that her time spent with refugees of war and conflicts over the world give her film a true sense of what happens to a person in the middle of such turmoil.

Who Will Be The Lone Ranger To Johnny Depp’s Tonto?

The movie version of The Lone Ranger has been languishing for years in Hollywood. Even with Johnny Depp attached to star as Tonto, the film seemed destined to die in development purgatory.

Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski has jumped on board and the project is picking up steam. Depp has casting advice for the title role:

“There’s so many interesting possibilities out there,” he tells ET. “Brad [Pitt] would be great. [George] Clooney would be great. Don’t know who it’s going to be just yet.”

The TV show and Hollywood in general haven’t been kind to Native Americans in film and Depp, who has Cherokee heritage, says this movie will take the opportunity to correct that wrong:

“Native Americans in cinema, over the past however many decades, have been treated somewhat shabbily,” he says to put it mildly. “This one has plans to rectify that.”

Johnny riding shotgun to Clooney or Pitt is totally made of win!

The Ronni Chasen Murder Case: ‘Person Of Interest’ Takes Own Life

Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen was gunned down in her car in Beverly Hills on November 16th and police have been putting together the clues to find her killer.

On Wednesday December 1st, officers of the Beverly Hills Police Department went to an apartment complex to serve a warrant on a ‘person of interest’ – a man that they had under surveillance. As the police entered the lobby of the Harvey Apartments, the suspect turned a gun on himself and fatally shot, ending his own life.

“At the time of the shooting, BHPD Detectives were on scene conducting a follow-up investigation. There were no other injuries related to the incident. Due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, there are no further details available at this time”. The Los Angeles Times reported that ”detectives received information suggesting the man would be in his apartment this evening. When police approached the man at the lobby of the apartment complex, he backed up and refused their orders to raise his hands. He then pulled out a pistol and shot himself in the head, the sources said. He was declared dead at at the scene.”

There will be more to come in this sad case.

Kate Bosworth Is Lucky

Actress Kate Bosworth gets the nod for the January 2011 cover of Lucky Magazine. The 27 year old actress sheds some light on her beauty secrets and a little fashion find with help from Demi Moore:

On her fabulous find, a Michael Kors pencil skirt: “And it was only $15! I got it in a thrift store in Detroit [where she filmed The Reasonable Bunch with Demi Moore]. I felt like I had found a little gold nugget—they had no idea what they were sitting on.”

On her low-key beauty routine: “I’m the most low-maintenance person. I’m in a constant battle with my mom because she’s always saying, ‘Please, can’t you blow-dry your hair? It looks so much nicer when you blow-dry it.’ I always wanted thicker, fuller hair, but honestly, I’d just rather be doing something else than blow-drying my hair.”

Kate’s new film, The Warrior’s Way, opens Friday December 3rd.

Madonna’s Ex Jesus Luz Is Happy To Be Back In The Dating Game

What’s a boy toy to do after dumping the likes of MadonnaJesus Luz knows:  you get back in the game, that’s what.  He told Page Six Magazine about being back on the market:

“There are many beautiful women in New York City. It’s cool because there is such a mixture of ethnicities and cultures.  Of course, I want to be married and have children at some point in my life.”

He also gave a hint to the ladies about what he might be looking for in a mate.  When asked what makes him happy, he said:

“…food, friends, music . . . and good sex.”

Eeeeew.  I really don’t want to think about him doing the nasty with Madge.  Or Madge doing the nasty with anybody, actually.  But maybe it wasn’t good – and that’s why they broke up?  Eeeewww.

‘Top Chef All-Stars’ Debuts Tonight

The Cheftestants are back and ready to kick culinary booty.

Top Chef season 8 is a departure for the previous years. This time around former contenders to the title are taking each other on to prove that their elimination the first time around was wrong.
This years cast of 18 chefs with brilliant knife skills include:

Season 1: Tiffani Faison and Stephen Asprinio
Season 2: Elia Aboumrad and Marcel Vigneron
Season 3: Dale Levitski, Casey Thompson and Tre Wilcox
Season 4: Richard Blais, Antonia Lofaso, Spike Mendelsohn and Dale Talde
Season 5: Carla Hall, Jamie Lauren and Fabio Viviani
Season 6: Jennifer Carroll and Mike Isabella
Season 7: Tiffany Derry and Angelo Sosa

Now that is a pretty great set up for this battle of the almost winners.

Who’s missing? Stefan Richter (season 5) – the Stefan/Fabio bromance was fab – and a Stefan/Jamie round 2 – Stefan would be so over her by now! Sam Talbot (season 2)  and Bryan Voltaggio (season 6) great chefs, hot guys – what else do you need? Ed Cotton (season 7) – wearing Tiffany’s dress around the TC penthouse was funny stuff – and he was getting under Angelo’s skin in the end – now that rematch could be epic (and get him out of the ho-hum Iron Chef kitchen as Cat Cora’s sous chef.) Lea Ann Wong (season 1) she was a great counter balance to Tiffani D and I think Lea Ann and Carla would be all kinds of hilarious and talented Girl Power!

The beautiful Padma Lakshmi and Gail Simmons return and Big Poppa Tom Colicchio is taking his place at the judge’s table. The formidable (and always good with a sharp verbal sting) Anthony Bourdain pops in to make the contestants quake in their sensible shoes and black chef jackets.

The first elimination is going to be rough. Be ready.

Top Chef All-Stars premieres on Bravo Wednesday December 1st at 10pm ET.
