The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place in Beverly Hills, California at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday January 16th.

Anne Hathaway was a nominee for Best Actress Comedy/Musical for her role in Love and Other Drugs. Hathaway lost to Annette Bening for The Kids Are All Right.

Anne chose a brilliant amber beige sleek dress from Giorgio Armani Prive with dramatic shoulders and a low open back.

A new documentary about Chaz Bono‘s process of gender reassignment (sex change) from female to male will premiere on January 23 at the Sundance Film Festival.

The movie, Becoming Chaz, was produced by Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey of World of Wonder Productions.   Barbato said:

“Chaz is someone who has risked everything to become himself. But whatever he might have lost, he has gained far more.  It takes great courage and strength to go against other people’s expectations of us in order to be true to ourselves.”

The documentary has already been picked up by the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) and will make its television debut on the channel in May.  Lisa Erspamer of OWN commented:

“We are proud to present this heartfelt and honest portrayal of Chaz’s personal transformation to our viewers.  These courageous documentaries engage conversation and we are pleased to have them join OWN.”

So OWN is going to be the Lifetime Channel, only slightly edgier.  Because cable TV needed another one of those.  Got it.

Kaley Cuoco took the stage with White Collar star Matt Bomer to present the Best Actor in a TV Comedy/Musical. Her costar from The Big Bang Theory, Jim Parsons ended up being the winner!

Cuoco wore a multi-tiered Katherine Kidd strapless gown in a pale pink shade that was very trendy for the evening.

Johansson wore Elie Saab’s beautiful (almost old-fashioned) romantic lacy peachy-pink gown with windswept hair and diamond encrusted hair pin. I like the dress and the hair – at least she took a risk.

Singer Brandy looked stunning at her brother Ray J‘s birthday party this weekend!  He celebrated the big 3-0 at Pure Nightclub at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.   Her dress is so simple, but so gorgeous – and as always, her huge smile is the best accessory of all.   Happy Birthday, Ray!

The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place in Beverly Hills, California at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday January 16th. Natalie Portman attended the ceremony as a nominee for Best Actress Drama for her part in Black Swan and the star took home the prize.

Portman’s strapless pink dress with embroidered crystal red rose embellishment showed her baby bump off to the world. The Viktor & Rolf baby pink gown was beautiful on her.

The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place in Beverly Hills, California at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday January 16th. Sandra Bullock, who won the Best Actress Award last year was a presenter this time around.

Bullock wore a pale pink one shoulder Jenny Packham dress from the Spring 2011 collection. Bullock kept the make-up minimal and wore her hair down (similar to Olivia Wilde’s style.)

Kristen Stewart lands the cover of the February 2011 issue of Vogue magazine as a non-Bella blond wearing Proenza Schouler.

The actress remains absolutely mum on her boyfriend Robert Pattinson (can’t blame her) but does talk about how she’d like to share her wealth and do something positive:

“Anytime I hear that somebody’s really rich, the first question is ‘Do you do anything with it? Or do you, like, chill? You just sit on it?’”

Kristen, after researching roles, learned she would like to set up a network of halfway houses with her money to help people recover.

“That would be amazing,” she reveals. “Right now it’s the thing I feel most connected to.”

Stewart is finishing filming the last of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, in New Orleans with part 1 opening November 16th. She is also in the upcoming adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road with Garrett Hedlund and Tom Sturridge.
