‘Glee’ Grabs Gaga, Gwyneth And A Dash Of Chenowith

A gaggle of Glee goodies is gathering our way, fellow Gleeks.

Let’s start with Gwyneth Paltrow. Holly Holliday is heading back to William McKinley High School as a sex education teacher and she has the hots for Will (Matthew Morrison.) Creator Ryan Murphy told EW that she will start filming in January and the double dose of Holly is for episodes 15 and 16 airing in the spring.

Lady Gaga’s new single “Born This Way” hasn’t even been released but Murphy is working it into an episode around the bully, closeted gay teen character Karofsky (Max Adler.) Murphy said he loves the theme of the tune and wants to do something uplifting for a March or April episode that builds on the song’s message.

Lastly, April Rhodes will return! Kristen Chenowith will reprise her role as the once Broadway bound high school drop-out for a few episodes that close out season 2 of hit show.

Glee doesn’t return with new episodes until February 6th following the Super Bowl with a super-sized show. Sounds like a promising second half of it’s sophomore season.

Victoria Beckham In Cuddly Soft Gray For Vogue UK

The February 2011 issue of Vogue UK has Victoria Beckham on the cover in a soft fuzzy sweater of blue-gray with a lighter-than-usual touch of make-up. It’s a welcome departure for Beckham who is often photographed in heavy make-up and angular exaggerated shapes and silhouettes.

Beckham spilled a little tidbit about her husband, the scrumptious soccer stud David Beckham.

“The other morning I looked across at David just after he’d woken up and thought you look really crap. THANK GOD, because this is a man who always looked so perfect,” she tells Vogue.

Victoria and David just announced they are expecting a fourth child. Congratulations to the couple.

‘Gossip Girl’ Jessica Szohr’s Sexy Hot Body Paint For SoBe Lifewater (PHOTOS)

Jessica Szohr is red hot for SoBe Lifewater’s latest skinsuit campaign.

The Gossip Girl actress bared all – almost, except for the strategic body paint of lizard scales on the actress’ lithe body. Szohr is the second actress to have her body revealed for the beverage. Twilight’s Ashley Greene was the inaugural model for the first sexy photo shoot (see Ashley’s photos here.)

Greene had some sage advice for the Pirahna 3-D starlet, catch up on sleep while they work their magic.

“She warned me that it takes a very long time, and it was 11 hours,” Jessica said of the body-painting process. “[Ashley] goes, ‘Don’t worry. When you lay down you can take naps and all that.’ And I certainly did.’”

Szohr was pleased with the final results adding that “they did it so tastefully and it was beautifully done.”

Check out all the sexy hot photos of Szohr under.

Palm Springs Film Festival With Jake Gyllenhaal & Carey Mulligan (PHOTOS)

Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan stepped out to the Palm Springs International Film Festival 2011 Gala Awards at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Saturday night.

Mulligan, who was receiving the Breakthrough Performance Award, wore a beautiful Prada cocktail dress for the event. The actress who won the coveted part of Daisy in the Baz Lurhmann adaptation of The Great Gatsby has moved to the Big Apple but welcomes the change. “I live in New York now, so that’s sort of new. But I always wanted to live there,” she said.

Gyllenhaal presented Natalie Portman with the Desert Palm Achievement Actress Award and joked that he first met the actress “waiting in a line to have her sign my Queen Amidala doll,” referencing her role in the “Star Wars” films. “I sure hope she wins that Oscar [for ‘Black Swan’] this year — because then that doll is going to worth a s—load of money!”

Natalie Portman & Javier Bardem At Palm Springs Film Festival

The Palm Springs International Film Festival 2011 Awards Gala was held Saturday January 8th at the Palm Springs Convention Center where Natalie Portman and Javier Bardem were on hand to celebrate the year in film.

Bardem was the recipient of the International Star Award and Portman was honored with the Desert Palm Achievement Actress Award.

The Black Swan actress presented her Goya’s Ghost costar with his award and introduced Bardem by saying the actor “took her to all the gay bars in Madrid.” Bardem had a laugh and replied ““I took her to gay bars because that was the only place Natalie would be safe in Madrid!”

Portman, who just announced her pregnancy and engagement to Benjamin Millepied, was the talk of the red carpet for both her Vionnet dress and her ring.

More photos of the actors are under.

‘The Kennedys’ Rejected by History Channel

After all that hype and anticipation, the History Channel has announced that it will not be airing the eight-part miniseries The Kennedys.  The network said in a statement:

“While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand. We recognize historical fiction is an important medium for storytelling and commend all the hard work and passion that has gone into the making of the series, but ultimately deem this as the right programming decision for our network.”

Let me get this straight.  The History Channel shows plenty of stuff with questionable historical value, for example, Pawn Stars, Ice Road Truckers, Storage Wars, and American Pickers.  Why isn’t The Kennedys up to snuff?  Buzz is that it’s possible that the show’s outspoken conservative producer, Joel Surnow, may have gone too far in his negative portrayal of John F. Kennedy and his family.

The series will still air in Canada, and may be picked up by another cable network.  And here I was just looking forward to seeing Katie Holmes in all those fabulous costumes.

Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch Beats Cancer

Rapper Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, better known as MCA, is cancer-free after 18 months of treatment for a tumor in his salivary gland.

Fellow Beastie Mike D (Mike Diamond) told the BBC Radio One that “the band was really happy that Yauch had been cured.”

The band won’t be touring until they’re sure Yauch is well enough to tour, but they are working on other projects, including their upcoming two-part album, Hot Sauce Committee.  Which I am eagerly anticipating!  I happen to be a huge Beastie Boys fan and MCA happens to be my favorite Beastie, so I’m extra excited that he’s beat the disease.  Now lets hope he gets stronger and remains well!

‘The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder In A HOT New Poster

Too long of a wait for The Vampire Diaries to return with new episodes but the CW is giving us a delicious poster to keep everyone hooked.

The new super hot Ian Somerhalder poster has the tagline “Look out, Damon. Your emotions are showing.”

Is this referring to Damon confessing his love to Elena (Nina Dobrev) only to erase it moments later? Or for Rose (Lauren Cohan) who was bitten by werewolf  Jules (Micheala McManus) and he’s searching for the cure. Or just because Damon is now having feelings? What do you think?

I have one small complaint (not really – because it’s a crazy sexy shot of Ian Somerhalder, but still.) Damon has facial hair (and again, in case you missed it – it’s still totally hot!) but on the show both Damon and Stefan (Paul Wesley) never do. I would guess because they are vampires and are dead – their hair does not grow. I can’t think of an episode that Damon has scruff can you?

It’s not like I want the CW to take back the poster – just be consistent. Small, minor thing – that’s all.

The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday January 27th with the first new episode of 2011 “The Descent.” See the preview video for that epi here.

Amy Adams Is Fierce For InStyle UK

Amy Adams is a fiercely gorgeous cover girl for InStyle UK February 2011.   She’s fabulous anyway, but I just love this cover.   Amy talks about how her body image changed significantly after becoming a mom to baby Aviana Le Gallo in May.  She says pregnancy helped her realize that she wasn’t

“put on this earth to look good in a swimsuit…I never felt more beautiful than when I was pregnant, because it wasn’t about me. The whole purpose of my body was no longer to fit into a sample size. It was to nurture another being. So I always felt great, no matter what I was wearing.”

Of course, Amy looks great no matter what, period… but this is an awesome message for women to hear.   Preach it, girl!!

Tennis Great Monica Seles Scores Book Deal

And now we have proof that anyone – anyone at all – with even a modicum of fame can write a book and get it published.  Grunting tennis player Monica Seles has signed a book deal with publisher Bloombury.  Her young-adult series “The Academy”

will follow a group of young athletic prodigies as they make their way through an elite sports academy, competing for recognition, love, money and fame.

OK, OK, I’ll give her some credit for sticking to that old adage “write what you know.”  But as I’ve asked so many times before about so many other celebrities who “write” books, what qualifies Monica Seles to be a published author?   The fact that she got stabbed in the back?  Or maybe the fact that she was (or is?) dating a 67 year old dude?  (Yeah, you read that right.)
