Today could be the birthday of Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom’s first child.

According to relatives of the Australian model, the family received a text message that said Kerr is in the hospital ready to push.

A family member told an Australian newspaper: “We did get a text on Boxing Day saying she had gone into labour but it was false alarm but I can confirm she did go into labour early this morning.”

Bloom, 33, and Kerr, 27, who married in July of 2010, did not want to know if they were having a boy or a girl beforehand.

Sounds like the wait is almost over.

January Jones plays Emma Frost (White Queen) in the upcoming movie X-Men: First Class.  She recently talked about what it was like to fill the bodacious mutant‘s shoes… or clothes, rather.

“The costumes are insane, it’s a lot of very body-conscious stuff.  If you look at the comic book, she’s barely dressed – she’s got quite the bod, which is very intimidating.”

Uh, I’ll say!  (Don’t have a visual of Emma Frost in your head?  Check out this pic.)  January also shared that she was asked not to lose weight for the role, in order to keep the character’s signature curves.

“I’m a petite person, so I didn’t want to go into a strict workout and eating regime.  I would have disappeared entirely, and she’s very busty, very voluptuous.”

And that’s true.  I would have expected them to pick someone with a little more weight on her bones for this role, but I bet it was a treat for January to not have to starve herself before filming started.   But I’ve got to ask, how does a woman who posed totes naked for Versace get intimidated by barely-there costumes?

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi made herself famous by binge drinking on Jersey Shore.  And it looks like she’s been perfecting that parlor game for awhile.   RadarOnline.com got ahold of some photos of Snooki already boozing it up when she was just 18 years old.

“She’s always tried to get as drunk as possible before she left for the clubs because she was underage and knew when she got there she couldn’t drink.   Snooki would just chug beer as fast as she could by putting 2 or 3 beers in a funnel and then going out for the night.

“She was always fall down drunk. She would tilt her head back with her eyes half closed and latch on to random people to hold herself up because she was about to fall over.”

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been coy about answering the dating question and with good reason.

When the two were photographed getting cozy in the sun on the deck of a private yacht over the holidays, it sparked an intense tween fandom rage from the Beliebers. Gomez, the target of the venomous tweets, received various insults and death threats.

One posted: “I’ll kill you I swear on GOD!!!!(sic)”

Another angry fan wrote: “If you are the Girlfriend of Justin I will Kill you I HATE YOU :@ !!!(sic)”

Those are just a sampling of the few legible rantings.

Bieber fans have a pattern. When the “Baby” singer announced his attraction to Kim Kardashian and the two posed for an Elle magazine photo shoot (see The Graduate inspired pics here,) Kardashian found herself on the receiving end of the viciousness.

Is Selena really in danger? Probably not, but still. If anyone takes the stupid threats a bit farther, they could face some serious repercussions.

The 2011 People’s Choice Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre Live L.A. Wednesday night (January 5th) and young Hollywood came out in full force.

Taylor Swift won for Favorite Country Music Artist and Zac Efron grabbed the Favorite Movie Star Under 25 trophy.

Ashley Tisdale, Miranda Cosgrove, Emma Roberts, Raven Symone and sisters AJ and Aly Michalka were all on hand for the evening. The stars brought out their fashion A-game as Tisdale wore Farah Angsana, Swift chose J Mendel, Roberts picked Chrisitan Dior, Cosgrove wore Nicole Miller, and Gomez wore Paule Ka on the blue carpet and Irina Shabayeva for her performance.

AnnaLynne McCord, Cassie Scerbo and Josie Loren were also at the ceremony.

Two gorgeous and stunning actresses, Lisa Edelstein and Kaley Cuoco hit the red carpet of the 2011 People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles last night.

Cuoco chose a floor length strapless goddess dress in snow white for the night and was stunning.

Edelstein, gorgeous in a silver patterned dress, took the prize for Favorite TV Drama Actress for her role as Dr. Cuddy on House.

A triple threat if there ever was one – Kathy Griffin, Pauley Perrette and Conan O’Brien all took the red carpet for the 2011 People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles last night.

Of the three, only Conan grabbed a trophy. The funnyman snapped up the prize for Favorite Talk Show Host.

Perrette made a statement wearing a simple white satin dress with the NOH8 logo emblazoned on it. NOH8 is the photographic protest to the passing of laws around the country denying and banning same-sex marriage. Go to NOH8 homepage to learn more.
