I know you’ve probably already seen these photos, but they’re so pretty I couldn’t help blog about them!   Shania Twain and her handsome husband Frédéric Thiébaud chose coordinated black and white ensembles for their dreamy Puerto Rico beach wedding this past weekend.  I love Shania’s black sash and her surprising choice of a full veil for a casual, beach wedding.  Great contrast!  But what makes me really crazy about these pictures is Frédéric’s three piece suit paired with the open necked black shirt!  Très classy you guys!  More pictures after the jump… (Read the article)

Jennifer Lopez recently had her and Marc Anthony‘s ginormous (17,000 square feet!)  new house in her new gated community redecorated, and so pleased she was with the results, she invited Veranda in to gawk at the place.

J-Lo hired interior designer Michelle Workman to do the honors, and I bet you this woman never wants to work for her again.  Miss Diva made her do the job, which included the kitchen, living room, family room, bedrooms, and bathrooms, in just ten weeks!  Plus she changed her mind at the last minute:

“Workman had nearly completed a château-inspired house for Lopez when the singer-actress had a change of heart—she didn’t want to be locked into a classically French look.”

Can you not just picture it?  “Hi, I know you just did all this work, but I’m going to make you re-do it all, ‘k?  So get to it before I suck your life force out of you and put it in a jar on my dressing table.  Yes, right there next to Marc’s.   Now go – go go go!!!”

Bottom line is, though, the house is really gorgeous.  However, I can’t help but think that Marc hates it.  It’s incredibly feminine and everything is so… white.  A guy wants a home where he can relax a little and this is not a place to relax.  It’s a place to sit very still, very carefully, so you don’t spill or breathe on anything.  I feel sorry for him, and their kids too.   See what I mean – there’s lots of pictures after the jump. Sean Penn has spilled about his split from Robin Wright Penn, and now we know the details of the divorce that I honestly never thought was actually going to happen.

I got practical issues, like everybody . . . I had just got taken for one half of everything I had in the divorce, so it’s not like I don’t have to work.

Just got “taken”?  Come on, Sean.  If you didn’t have a pre-nup then the laws of your state apply, and California is a community property state, after all.  If you failed to protect what you wanted to protect, that’s no one’s fault but your own.  Anyway, I’m sure 50% of Sean Penn’s “everything” is more than most people ever hope to see in a few lifetimes. Boo freakin’ hoo.

Richie is the fashionista gone designer with her House of Harlow 1960 line (among others,) and the newlywed Mrs. Madden gives up the details on her style, what fashion means to her and vintage shopping:

On her new accessories line, House of Harlow 1960: “I don’t wear dainty jewelry. I like to be a little over the top.”

On her love of vintage shopping: “I really believe you can’t make a mistake with vintage. It’s all in how you wear it.”

On her fashion philosophy: “To me, fashion is about fun. I’ve always experimented. I dyed my hair purple, and I dyed my hair green, and I went through a Punky Brewster phase, a preppy phase, a goth phase, a girly phase, a grunge phase…I’m sure my style won’t stop here.”

On the number of vintage Chanel bags in her closet: “That’s not a fair question! Okay, 30, but I stole a lot of them from my mom!”

Bite-sized Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is front and center for Vanity Fair’s February 2011 issue. The Biebs is covered in smooches as he adjusts his tie for the magazine.

The 16 year-old singer gives the scoop on how his mind works, what it’s like to be a teenager in the spotlight and how he will not go down the way some of young Hollywood has:

On his mental state: “I’m crazy, I’m nuts… Just the way my brain works. I’m not normal. I think differently; my mind is always racing. I’m just … nuts. But I think the best [musicians] probably are.”

On his public image: “It’s hard to really balance myself. A regular kid, if he catches the flu, he just gets to go home … But I can’t do that…. Everything is important. But, you know, my sanity is important, too. Even if I’m angry, I’ll just put a smile on my face and fake it. I don’t often fake it; what’s me is me….I know I have to give up a lot of myself, or a lot of a private life.”

On keeping his head on straight: “Of course, I think that people are just waiting for that time when I make a mistake and they’re gonna jump on it….There’s gonna be haters … I know I’m not going to make a lifechanging bad decision, as some people have. I’ve seen it happen too many times. I could be my own worst enemy, but I don’t want to mess this up.”

It was a match made in tabloid heaven but it wasn’t meant to last.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift have decided to call off their budding romance. Sources tell US Magazine that 30 year-old Gyllenhaal is the one who initiated the split because he was very leery with the public attention the two brought as a couple.

“He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this, but she didn’t listen.”

The couple have not been spotted together since December 9th and while Gyllenhaal was in NYC over the holidays, Swift, 21, was in Turks and Caicos with her family.

This past weekend (Dec. 31-Jan. 2, 2011) belonged to Little Fockers again with $25.7 million this week. The #2 slot went to True Grit which made a solid $24.4 million. Nothing at all opened this week that made it into the top ten. Not a single film! Pretty strange, but it is a brand new year.

The Twilight star Robert Pattonson has landed his first major lead role after the Twilight movies. It’s called Cosmopolis and the film will be directed by David Cronenberg.

Pattinson will star in Cosmopolis, the Don DeLillo novel adaptation that David Cronenberg wrote and will direct. Pattinson, who just starred with Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz in Fox 2000′s Francis Lawrence-directed adaptation of the  Sara Gruen novel Water For Elephants, will play Eric Packer. A financial wunderkind, Packer risks his entire fortune to bet against the yen on a tumultuous day. His deed puts him in the crosshairs for assassination in a drama that is a study of capitalism in a slightly futuristic metropolis. Most of the scenes in the book take place in the limousine that transports Packer from place to place.

Cronenberg is pretty inconsistent with quality, some are good, some are bad. I’m not going to get too excited for this one, but at least he’s not a vampire this time!
