Kirsten Dunst looked like a member of the medical team at the Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.  Naughty nurse?  If by “naughty” you’re referring to her fashion sense, sure.   It’s only made worse by her clearly-visible oddly strapless bra.  Seriously, this outfit is awful.

The club celebrated its grand opening on New Year’s Eve with a virtual cavalcade of celebrities (most of whom looked much better than Kirsten), including Jeremy Piven, Ellen Pompeo, Whitney Port, Lady Victoria Hervey, Emmy Rossum, Brandy, Channing Tatum, Aziz Ansari, and Lance Bass.

Marquee is the newest club by the Tao Group, and it sounds like quite the spot:

The club is 60,000 square feet and features three rooms with three different vibes and an attached dayclub with two pools (for the warmer months), several private plunge pools for VIPs and bungalows that let guests sleep just outside of the nightclub.

Excessive much?  But that’s Vegas for you, baby.  You know the stars are going to be all over this place to see and be seen!

Starting the new year off right, superstar Shania Twain has married Swiss businessman Frédéric Thiébaud on New Year’s Day.

The two had known each other for years, but became close when they each discovered their then-spouses were having an affair, allegedly. As their respective marriages broke apart, Twain and Thiébaud’s friendship grew into romance and they became engaged in December of 2010.

Twain, 45, and Thiébaud, 40, were wed in a small, intimate ceremony at sunset in Rincon, Puerto Rico that included just under 50 friends and family for the happy occassion.

Valerie Bertinelli has strolled down the aisle after seven years of dating and finally married financial planner Tom Vitale.

The Hot in Cleveland star said her “I Do’s” in Malibu with approximately 100 guests sharing their day. Ex-husband Eddie Van Halen and their son Wolfgang were also in attendance.

The 50 year-old actress and 49 year-old planner got engaged in March of 2010.

Congratulations to the couple.

Midnight comes on New Year’s Eve as the world celebrates leaving 2010 behind, looking forward to 2011 and who should give us a simple but major announcement precisely at the turning point? Lady Gaga.

In what looks like a message LOST’s Hurley would’ve sent out from the island if he had access to twitter, Gaga posted this:

“THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11,”

Born This Way the album drops May 23rd and her first single will debut February 13th.

She preceded “the numbers” tweet with what appear to be lyrics from the song:

“I’m beautiful in my way, ’cause God makes no mistakes I’m on the right track baby, I was born this way

Don’t hide yourself in regret, just love yourself and you’re set.  I’m on the right track, baby, I was born this way.”

Stewart Shining gave everyone an awesome mantra for the New Year.

The fashion photographer took the black and white photo of Robert Pattinson for a cover shoot with Italian Vanity Fair and posted this awesome outtake to twitter on Christmas Day. Shining said:

“I was just thinking this would be my motto for the new year, and a nice Xmas present for the RPatt fans!”

Shining got loads of positive feedback from Pattinson’s fans and added:

“Right on RPatt fans! glad u like the shot! one of my faves and it really is a great motto to carry forward!”

Hitting the Grand Opening of The Cosmopolitan and Marquee Las Vegas Nightclub on New Year’s Eve, Twilight actor Kellan Lutz fessed up to some New Year’s Resolutions for 2011.

The Calvin Klein model with the amazing abs wants more family time and more sleep but it’s those late night munchies of fast food that make Lutz crazy.

“I want to eat better,” he says.

“I keep saying I want to quit candy, and I slowly digress [to increase] the candy intake,” he says. “I eat late at night all the time, and I want to cut that back – and get more sleep. I live right across from Jack in the Box, so that’s not good.”

Kellan was in New Orleans before the holidays with the rest of the Twilight cast filming Breaking Dawn and the food in New Orleans is legendary for it’s tastiness, not necessarily health consciousness so that probably didn’t help.

I’ll say this, you could never tell by his body he has a Jack weakness.

Klaus is coming. The Original (gangsta) of vampires is heading to Mystic Falls for food (so many unaware humans to snack on) and frolic (an afternoon of sacrificing dopplegängers, if you please) and The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec says they are taking the casting very seriously.

“The big important elements of this character are charisma and gravitas. You’ve got to be able to be afraid of this guy, whether you’re afraid of him because he looks scary or because he’s so charming that the fact that he can snap your neck with his pinky would take you by surprise. So whether he’s an Old Word-flavored guy or new hip, contemporary, speedy kinda guy, that remains to be seen. We’ll see what actor we connect to the most.”

Plec also confirms that Klaus will show up by the end of this season.

Who ever they choose, I want him to scare the you-know-what outta me. Not all crazy and frenetic but very still like Anthony Hopkins in The Silence of the Lambs. I should be clutching my pillow and afraid to turn off the lights kinda of scared.

Celebrities’ romance and marriage are endlessly entertaining, but let’s be real:  there’s nothing more fascinating than a good celebrity divorce.  Scandal!  Betrayal!  Drama!  Face it – you love it.   So let’s take a look back at the year in celebrity divorces.  Here’s a round-up of 2010′s failed showbiz marriages.

First off, the break-ups that made us go “duh.”  Who really thought that Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman were actually going to last?  I honestly never expected the whole lesbian angle, though.   And I dunno about you, but Tony Parker and Eva Longoria always seemed like they were going to last… but he wouldn’t be the first man brought low by naughty text messages to the wrong woman.    And I seriously thought, perhaps hoped, that Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds were in it for the long haul, if for no other reason than they were so nice to look at together… such a pretty couple.

And then there were the ones that we just never saw coming – and there were a ton of those this year.  David Arquette and Courteney Cox-Arquette always  seemed like the perfect couple… maybe TOO perfect.  Likewise Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, Al Gore and Tipper Gore and Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes (whose divorce was supposedly “completely amicable” – then why aren’t you staying married?!)

As always, some of the nastiest divorces were precipitated by cheating…  Tiki and Ginny Barber, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and Michael Nilon,  Christina Milian and The Dream.    But nothing can beat the shocking mess that Jesse James created for himself by messing around on Sandra Bullock with various and sundry skanks.
