Ok so it’s fake, but this video is so well put together it almost could be real. It highlights how far we’ve come over the last 50 years with visual arts. It also highlights how well Disney/Pixar have stuck to a working formula for so long.

Britney Spears‘ highly-anticipated seventh album finally has an official release date.  Fans will be able to get their hands on the still-unnamed album on March 15th.  It will be available in two versions:  one standard, and one with additional bonus tracks.   Start saving your pennies!

The CD’s first single, Hold It Against Me, has been breaking records and blowing up the airwaves and interwebs since its release just a couple of weeks ago.

The 2011 Director’s Guild of America Awards were held Saturday night (January 29th) in the Grand Ballroom on Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles and Helena Bonham Carter was on hand for the evening ceremony.

The King’s Speech actress chose a subdued black cocktail length dress with corset-like bodice and revealing neckline. Bonham Carter was at the ceremony to support her Speech director, Tom Hooper, who took home the Feature Film trophy and is now the front runner for the Oscars.

The 2011 Director’s Guild of America Awards were held Saturday night (January 29th) in the Grand Ballroom on Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles and actress Sofia Vergara was on hand for the evening ceremony.

Vergara spiced up the DGA’s with her lacy body conscious, curve hugging silvery gray gown with back cutout and matching shoes and bag. The Modern Family star was on hand to support her director, Michael Spiller, who took home the trophy for Outstanding Achievement in Television, Comedy Series.

The 2011 Director’s Guild of America Awards were held Saturday night (January 29th) in the Grand Ballroom on Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles and actress Natalie Portman was on hand for the evening ceremony.

Portman chose a Michael Kors halter dress with gold neckline detail and Aldo shoes. The actress who is pregnant with her first child and engaged to Benjamin Millepied, came to support her Black Swan director, Darren Aronofsky.

The 2011 DGA Awards were handed out in the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland in Los Angeles last night (Saturday, January 29th) and director Tom Hooper took home the big prize for The King’s Speech.

The British born Hooper moves to the front for an Oscar win after this triumph. The winner of the DGA has won the Oscar in all but 6 years of the history of the ceremony as many voters for the Guild are the same for the Academy Awards.

Martin Scorsese took the top prize for Drama Series, Television as director of the pilot episode of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. It was the legendary director’s second win. In 2006 he took the trophy for his film The Departed.

The awards ceremony was hosted by Carl Reiner and was also a celebration of 75 years of the Director’s Guild of America.

Lea Michele is very sexy in a plunging neckline of Oscar de la Renta swimwear for the cover of Cosmopolitan’s March 2011 issue.

The actress is vamping it up while telling Cosmo about her perfect date with boyfriend Theo Stockman:

“Take a shower, put on a robe, pour myself a glass of wine and Skype with Theo. That’s the best,” said Michele.

Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on Glee, has a similar drive to the on screen character; theater and performing are first and foremost for each, but unlike Berry who sampled Terri Schuster’s (Jessalyn Gilsig) “vitamins” in season 1, Michele says she is performance-enhancers free:

“I never did drugs. I’m proud of that. Acting always came first.”

Michele will sing at the Super Bowl XLV pre-game show on Sunday February 6th and following the football championship, Glee has a special super-sized episode featuring Michael Jackson’s song “Thriller.”

This movie looks about as dark and depressing as they come, not to mention boring. I feel like pentagrams are used too much nowadays, solely for shock value. I’ll be missing this one.

Model Kate Moss‘ sexy photoshoot for Vogue Italia (December 2010) was hot enough as it was, but now you can enjoy it again and again.  Footage from the shoot by Nick Knight is being “remixed” into a series of videos called ‘Editing Kate.’ The first installment of the project is a short clip by filmmaker Jamie Harley, set to Tomorrow Night We’ll Go Anywhere by electro-pop artist Evan Voyta.    If you’re a Kate fan, you’re sure to like this piece – and be sure to look out for more of the series this spring. Ridley Scott was planning to make a prequel to Alien when he started the development of this film, but now it’s called Prometheus. The film is no longer related to the Alien series but Michael Fassbender is set to take on the title role.

Michael Fassbender has signed on to star opposite Noomi Rapace in Ridley Scott‘s Prometheus. The science fiction project set-up at 20th Century Fox, was originally developed as an Alien prequel. Rapace (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) will play Elizabeth Shaw, and Fassbender will be playing an android.

I’m very curious to see what this movie is going to be like, especially since it was supposed to be a prequel before. Ridley Scott does do sci-fi well, so I’m expecting something really good here. This one is out in theaters June 8, 2012.
