Jane Lynch At Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscars Viewing Party

No tracksuits here!  Glee‘s Jane Lynch looked fantastically dapper at Elton John‘s AIDS Foundation Oscars Viewing Party.  I adore her metallic tux jacket.  It’s such a throwback – did she get it from a former Las Vegas lounge band leader from the 1960s? – but it totally works.

See who else attended Sir Elton’s party:  Kim Kardashian, Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, and Miranda Cosgrove.

Hayden Panettiere At Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Oscars Party (Photos)

Remember just a few short years ago when Hayden Panettiere was sweet and innocent and wearing voluminous dresses on the red carpet?  And then remember a little later when she was all grown up and classy and glamorous?   My my, times certainly have changed.  I don’t know what happened here, but Hayden showed up at Elton John‘s Oscars Viewing Party looking like a tarted up former starlet, twice her age, trying way too hard to look younger than she is.   Way too much spray tan?  Check.  Way too much garish lipstick?  Check.  Way too much orange bleached out hair?  Check.  Oh, Hayden.  How far we fall.

New Blu-ray Releases March 1st, 2011: Full List

Blu-ray is the new standard, DVD is on its way out and every week they are releasing many films on the relatively new format. Here’s the full list of Blu-ray movies out this week on March 1st, 2011.

127 Hours is the big highlight this week! I never expected a movie with such a seemingly basic story line to hook me and hold on through the whole experience. James Franco was awesome in this movie, and well deserving of that Oscar nomination. I highly recommend checking this one out. Faster is also out, which wasn’t great, but definitely surprised me with it’s constant action. For you Disney collectors, Bambi is out on blu-ray for the first time! Get it while you can. Love & Other Drugs is also out along with Burlesque. Quite a release list this week!

Anne Hathaway & Colin Firth At 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Academy Awards host Anne Hathaway and Oscar winner Colin Firth head inside to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Sunset Tower in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 27th.

Reviews of Hathaway’s performance as host on the 83rd Annual Academy Awards have been mixed but most lean toward the favorable (unlike her co-host, James Franco, who is being panned for his efforts.)

Firth, who won the Best Actor trophy, gave a great acceptance speech for his part at the end of the night. The King’s Speech actor made light of being nervous and said:

“I’m afraid I have to warn you that I’m experiencing stirrings somewhere in the upper abdominals which are threatening to form themselves into dance moves,” he joked. “Joyous as they may be for me, it would be extremely problematic if they make it to my legs before I get offstage.”
