‘Charlie’s Angels’ Minka Kelly’s Mellow Afternoon

Minka Kelly heads to her car after having lunch with a friend at Kings Road Cafe in Los Angeles Valentine’s day.

Kelly recently shared that her father, Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay, would not go to the premiere of her latest film, The Roommate because he did not want to see it with all the industry folks who won’t give honest feedback.

The actress told Chelsea Handler she was nervous, but her dad assured her:

“It was actually great, I was really nervous. I was like, ‘People are going to walk out, I don’t want to see this’, but it was actually great. We actually showed up to the 7pm showing and when we got there it wasn’t really packed and so my dad was like, ‘I’m sure everyone will be going to the 8pm showing, I’m sure it will be packed.’ But it ended up being sold out and even the front few rows, it was so fun and everyone was so into it and really reacted to it and at the end everyone applauded.”

Kelly just booked a part in the pilot for Charlie’s Angels that hopes to make it to the fall schedule for ABC Television. Minka will play one of the new Angels at the Charles Townsend Agency and the series is to be set in Miami instead of L.A.

“I didn’t think this was something I wanted to do, to commit to a show, to sign a contract for years on end,” Baldwin said.

“I made films and worked in the theater and there’s a lot of diversity there that’s kind of an advantage. But then I did Will & Grace and had the best time of my life,” he added.

“Working with Megan on that show…I realized it was a lot of fun. It inspired me to do this.”

Baldwin’s star is in front of Eva Longoria’s restaurant, Beso and a couple of blocks away from ex-wife Kim Basinger’s. He acknowledged Basinger’s star and his daughter with her, Ireland Baldwin by saying:

CBS News Correspondent Lara Logan Sexually Assaulted During Egyptian Protests

Lara Logan was in Tahir Square in Egypt covering the reactions of the Egyptian people as President Hosni Mubarek stepped down as leader.

The crowd that gathered were riled up and as the frenzied mood spread Logan and her news team became separated. In the midst of the fury, Logan was the victim of a “brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating” at the hands of some in the crowd.

The CBS News chief foreign correspondent had to be rescued by a group of women and about 20 soldiers to end her nightmare.

Logan and her team returned to their hotel and then to the U.S. on the next flight, where she received medical treatment.

The reporter had been in the country only days prior to her attack, but had been forced by the then Egyptian authorities to leave. The news group which she was a part of were detained at gunpoint and not allowed to film on the streets. After having to return to the U.S., Logan and her team were allowed back to Alexandria on Friday, February 11th. She was brutalized on the same day she was allowed to return.

Emma Watson Worries Keeping Short Hair Will Be Career-Limiting

Emma Watson might be an Elle Style Icon, but she’s worried that her own particular style will limit her acting opportunities – specifically, her hair style.  Emma has the cutest hair cut ever, but she’s already growing it out again to keep herself versatile.  She told Elle:

“I am trying to grow it but it’s slow, it’s taking a while obviously.  If I want to keep acting then it’s more flexible for me to have it longer for different roles, it’s quite a specific cut. I’m kind of looking forward to getting to a cute little bob stage.”

It seems ludicrous in today’s world of hair extensions, wigs and over-the-top movie makeup work that Emma would be turned down for any role based on her haircut.  However, it turns out that she was contractually prohibited from cutting her hair while filming the Harry Potter movies, so maybe it’s not so ridiculous after all.  Very, very silly, but believable, I guess.   After living under a contract clause like that for 10 years, no wonder she chopped off her hair the minute the movies wrapped.  I totally would have.

Chloe Sevigny Sexes It Up For Harper’s Bazaar (Photos)

I have such a complicated relationship with Chloe Sevigny.  I am both fascinated and nearly repulsed by her at the same time.  Harsh, huh?   Hey, what’s celebrity gossip without the snark?

However, I’ve got nothing but good to say about her photoshoot by Cedric Buchet in the March 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.   Chloe looks incredible!  I love the way she was styled, especially the rich colors.  Seriously, I am not sure I’ve ever seen her look better than this.

There’s more pics after the jump, but first a few excerpts from her interview:

On being a little insecure about her looks: “I wish I looked more like my mother, but I think I look like my father.  I wish I had one of those naturally beautiful faces. Or a more quirky face. I’m right down the middle: not interesting enough, not pretty enough.  Know what I get the most? People say, ‘You’re so much prettier in person.’ I’m like, ‘Thank you?’”

On her runaway hit collection for Opening Ceremony: “I’m not trying to compete with high fashion.  I’m doing streetwear. Everyone is trying to be so hip. I like that my dresses are a little dorky. I think it’s refreshing now to not try and be so cool.”

On winning a Golden Globe last year: “I hate to admit it, but it was one of the biggest confidence boosters I’ve ever had. I felt really powerful. I know it’s nothing, just a stupid statue, but I felt like ‘Good for me!’”
