Vince McMahon announced last week that he had a special host for WrestleMania XXVII and boy did he deliver.
McMahon brought back a fan favorite on the Valentine’s Day episode of WWE RAW on USA Network. Wrestling fans have been waiting for his return and now it’s set: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will take the mat for the annual showdown.
The Rock told the fans last night:
“The Rock has come back to WrestleMania. The most electrifying man of all of entertainment is hosting the most electrifying event of all of entertainment! Do you smell what the rock is cooking?”
Johnson is ready to get back in the ring and in the live chat after the show said:
“My goal is to create an incredible show. The guys have prepared for this night all year and they are going to put on incredible wrestling matches and I am there to not only support their matches but work with the great WWE production team and put on an electrifying show. That means I will be backstage and in the ring creating unforgettable and iconic WrestleMania moments.”
The match will be held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on April 3rd.

The cover girl for the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition has been revealed.
Model Irina Shayk gets the nod for 2011 on the front of the coveted issue.
Shayk wears a pink and yellow bikini on the beach of Hawaii and shows off her perfect form.
The model, who is also the girlfriend of soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, has been featured in the magazine 4 times previously. This is her first cover.

Victoria Beckham received a nice honor recently when princess-to-be Kate Middleton requested a selection of dresses from her clothing line.
Posh shared the news during a preview of her Fall/Winter 2011 collection at New York Fashion Week. She said:
‘Apparently, [Kate] likes my clothes and has asked to see a selection. It will be from my current spring/summer collection. It’s tremendously exciting and I would be honoured if she were to wear my designs. I admire her tremendously. She’s a beautiful young girl, she has a wonderful figure and I think she wears clothes beautifully.’
I think Kate would look fantastic in nearly anything from the Victoria Beckham line. One thing I appreciate about Vick’s designs is that they are simple and well cut, and I think they’d really flatter Kate. Way to go, Posh – you sure have come a long way from your Spice Girls days.

Paz Vega wore a copper colored jumpsuit and oversized sunglasses on the red carpet at the Gucci-RocNation Pre-Grammys Brunch this weekend. (Sleeveless? Yeah, I heard it was about 80 degrees in L.A. this weekend). Really, I should hate this outfit on her. Jumpsuits are, as a general rule, just a bad fashion choice in my opinion. But Paz pulls it off, probably because she’s simply gorgeous and could make any shapeless, vaguely belted piece of shiny fabric look good.

Miley Cyrus brought her fashion A game to the 2011 Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 13th.
The “Can’t Be Tamed” singer took the red carpet in a sequined tiger print dress by Roberto Cavalli, Sergio Ross heels and layered on the Ofira and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and bangles.

Pauley Perrette walked the red carpet of the 2011 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night, February 13th.
The NCIS star chose a bright acid green mini by Terri King with music notes printed on the front and black satin straps that tie in the back. She looked fantastic as always. Love her!

Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony walked the red carpet of the 2011 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night, February 13th.
La Lopez brought the serious diva drama dress in the very short and super shiny Emilio Pucci mirrored number. I love it when Jennifer dresses to the max like this. She looks fantastic.
Anthony was decked out in all black Gucci with shades and I did like this look for him as well.

Katy Perry & Russell Brand walked the red carpet of the 2011 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night, February 13th.
Katy looked heavenly on the red carpet in a Giorgio Armani custom dress with Swarovski beading on the top and cute feathery angel wings.
Perry also had her grandmother at the show and she walked the red carpet with Katy. So sweet.

Eva Longoria walked the red carpet of the 2011 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night, February 13th.
The Desperate Housewives star chose a black and white satin Ashi dress with large ruffled collar and Brian Atwood shoes. She pulled her hair back so it didn’t compete with the neckline.
Longoria was a presenter at the ceremony.
