Jeff Bridges, Josh Brolin & Hailee Steinfeld ‘True Grit’ Berlin Festival Photos

The 61st Berlin International Film Festival held a photo call at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin, Germany for True Grit with stars Jeff Bridges, Josh Brolin and Hailee Steinfeld.

At the press conference, Bridges acknowledged that he owes 14 year-old Steinfeld quite a bit of money for the cuss jar she instituted when the boys language got out of hand.

Bridges jumped in, telling the room that Steinfeld had actually kept them all in line and had a curse pot for when the other actor’s language got too salty. “I ran a tab with you,” Bridges smiled. “I still owe a lot of money.”

Brolin didn’t miss out either. “She [Steinfeld] made a whole lot more money from that pot than she did from the movie,” he said.

Lady Gaga Covers Vogue For March

Lady Gaga is on the minty green cover of Vogue for March 2011. The “Born This Way” singer is wearing Alexander McQueen and a pink bob wig for the front of the fashion bible.

Gaga, talks about her music, her “little monsters,” fame and her confidence level:

On fame:
“I don’t feel spiritually connected to anyone in Hollywood makeup and a gown with diamond earrings on. I am just a different breed. I want to be your cool older sister who you feel really connected with, who you feel understands you and refuses to judge anything about you because she’s been there.”

On her single, ‘Born This Way’:
“I wrote it in 10 f**king minutes, and it is a completely magical message song. And after I wrote it, the gates just opened, and the songs kept coming. It was like an immaculate conception.”

On how she views herself as a performer:
“Speaking purely from a musical standpoint, I think I am a great performer. I am a talented entertainer. I consider myself to have one of the greatest voices in the industry. I consider myself to be one of the greatest songwriters. I wouldn’t say that I am one of the greatest dancers, but I am really quite good at what I do. I think it’s OK to be confident in yourself.”

On her ‘little monsters’:
“I see myself in them. I was this really bad, rebellious misfit of a person—I still am—sneaking out, going to clubs, drugs, alcohol, older men, younger men. You imagine it, I did it. I was just a bad kid. And I look at them, and every show there’s a little more eyeliner, a little more freedom, and a little more ‘I don’t give a f–k about the bullies at my school.’ For some reason, the fans didn’t become more Top 40. They become even more of this cult following. It’s very strange and exciting.”

Kim Kardashian Channels Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra

Kim Kardashian takes on the well known look of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor’s Cleopatra for the March 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar. Here a few excerpts from the interview:

On her diet:
“I’m on a diet. I need to be. I love to eat – Kit Kats or cookies-and-cream ice cream. I need sugar like five times a day.”

On gaining weight while filming ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York’:
“I worked out once. I gained like 10 pounds. All the papers were like, Kim’s pregnant! I ate the nuts on the street corner, the hot dogs, the street meat. It was not a joke.”

Kardashian also gets the opportunity to ask La Liz a few questions about her life, loves and jewels:

KIM KARDASHIAN: You are my idol. But I’m six husbands and some big jewels behind. What should I do?

ELIZABETH TAYLOR: I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands. For me, life happened, just as it does for anyone else. I have been supremely lucky in my life in that I have known great love, and of course I am the temporary custodian of some incredible and beautiful things. But I have never felt more alive than when I watched my children delight in something, never more alive than when I have watched a great artist perform, and never richer than when I have scored a big check to fight AIDS. Follow your passion, follow your heart, and the things you need will come.

Avril Lavigne Plays Sexy Housewife For Vanity Fair Italy

Avril Lavigne looks pretty grown up in the March 2011 issue of Vanity Fair Italy.  She plays the quintessential sexy Italian housewife in a photoshoot by Mark Liddell.     It’s a good look for Avril – she’s got a surprisingly natural grace -  and a far cry from her Maxim spread last year, which I just found kind of trashy, to be honest.

Look for Avril’s new album, Goodbye Lullaby, next month.

Kirsten Dunst To Front Bulgari Fragrance Campaign

Kirsten Dunst has landed a deal to be the face of Bulgari’s new fragrance, Mon Jasmin Noir.  How exactly this scent is going to differ from the luxury brand’s existing product called Jasmin Noir is still unclear.

Kirsten’s campaign will launch this spring, but she’s already hanging out on behalf of her new employer:  she hit the Bulgari Save the Children benefit last month.   Hopefully this deal sticks better than her very short stint at Miu Miu a few years ago.   Good luck, Kiki!

Check Out Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint In ‘Wild Target’ (Video)

What’s a guy to do after spending the last 10 years co-starring in the Harry Potter franchise?  If you’re Daniel Radcliffe, you head for Broadway.  If you’re Rupert Grint, however, evidently you go on to star in movies that go straight to video.  Ouch.   Rupert’s latest project, Wild Target, was just released this week on DVD.  Emily Blunt and Bill Nighy also star in the badly-panned film, in which Rup plays an apprentice to Nighy’s hit man character.  Is it really so bad a film?  Check out the clip after the jump and see what you think.   I’m thinking it’s got to at least be better than Rupert’s 2002 bomb, Thunderpants. Nicholas Hoult is ‘Jack the Giant Killer’

Actor Nicholas Hoult has been cast as the lead in Bryan Singer‘s Jack the Giant Killer.

Until today, there was no Jack. Now, just after we heard he was on a shortlist, the role has been offered to Nicholas Hoult, who had an early breakout role in About a Boy, then appeared in the original UK version of Skins, had a big role in A Single Man, and plays Beast in the Bryan Singer-produced X-Men: First Class.

Hoult is one of those few child actors making a transition into adult acting, and doing it quite gracefully. Yes, he was the little boy in About a Boy, doesn’t seem like it was that long ago but he’s all grown up. Bryan Singer is clearly a fan, putting him in the new X-Men movie he’s producing and the lead in this one. Jack the Giant Killer should be an interesting twist on the old story.
