Here’s the first official trailer for the upcoming comic book prequel X-Men: First Class.
Looks better than I expected, but doesn’t have me all that excited. This franchise needs a solid, high-quality rebirth, I’m not so sure this movie will do it. I thought the first two X-Men movies were good, but everything since has been a poor attempt to keep that magic.

Agron was very glamorous in a draped Vivienne Westwood dress and her hair in a soft up do. Pettyfer wore a lovely gray striped suit with green tie. Their costar, Teresa Palmer (pictured with Agron, above) wore a sexy backless black Emilio Pucci dress with thigh high slit.

Monae was honored at the event and told Essence:
“This is just the beginning of my career so to be recognized at such an early stage just gives me more encouragement and hopefully I can open up doors for more young girls.”
Lewis added a bright bit of color on the black carpet with her yellow bow bodice and purple skirt.
The Vampire Diaries star and singer Katerina Graham was also on hand wearing a shiny black mini and awesome necklace. Love her style.

According to a report from The New Yorker, The Church of Scientology is currently being investigated by the FBI for human trafficking.
FBI Agents have reportedly interviewed defectors to find out about the techniques used to control members’ lives and what, if anything, the church did to those who tried to (or did) leave.
The investigation stems from allegations that Scientology condones methods of control that include unpaid/slave labor, psychological abuse and imprisonment.
Author Lawrence Wright spoke to people who had left the organization and one was a former security director at Gold Base, a place in the California desert that houses members. People who tried to leave were reportedly denied by illegal means:
“When emotional, spiritual, or psychological pressure failed to work,” Wright reports, “physical force was sometimes used to bring escapees back.”
David Miscavige, head of Scientology reportedly ordered members to work on actor Tom Cruise’s customized trailer, motorbike and other personal projects for $50 a week. Miscavige allegedly lives like a movie star, with chartered jets, personal chefs and other high-priced compensation items heads of non-profits are not allowed to have.

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming kids movie Hop.
It looks cute, but doesn’t feel much different than Alvin and the Chipmunks. It’s discouraging to see hollywood continually cranking out movies that don’t have original or fresh concepts. Of course, the movie will still make money because kids don’t care if they’ve seen something before, as long as it has a pretty new bow on it.
