Julia Roberts is set to play the Queen in the upcoming live action film The Brothers Grimm: Snow White.

Relativity Media has closed a deal with Oscar®-winner Julia Roberts to play the Queen in its upcoming untitled Snow White feature, based on the Brothers Grimm story, directed by Tarsem Singh (Immortals, The Cell).

Pre-production has begun, and principal photography will start in April. The theatrical release date is set for June 29, 2012.

It seems almost like Julia Roberts has been in hiding for a while, I’d almost forgotten what a big star she was. I’m glad she’s taking a role like this, a side of her we’ve never seen before might be just what she needs to have a big comeback.

Here’s the first image of the hugely talented Meryl Streep in the upcoming film The Iron Lady.

Finally, here’s the first image of Meryl Streep as former British prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She’s playing the leader in The Iron Lady, which focuses primarily on the days of Thatcher’s government leading up to the war in the Falkland Islands. Phyllida Lloyd is directing — that’s the director of Mamma Mia!

Impressive! She really looks like Margaret Thatcher, and knowing Streep she’ll peg the character like no other actress could. There are few actors in the world that I would say are truly brilliant, Meryl Streep is one of them. I wouldn’t usually be interested in a movie about the former British prime minister, but I’m looking forward to this one for obvious reasons.

Miley Cyrus strolled the purple carpet on Tuesday for the premiere of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never at the Nokia Theatre Live L.A. in Los Angeles.

The So Undercover actress took it downtown boho chic wearing jeans, with a print jacket with long fringe from Nicole Richie’s Winter Kate line. Cyrus also posed with her younger sister, Noah on the purple carpet.

Miley wasn’t the only teen star to take in the movie. Francia Raisa from The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Jennifer Stone from Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place and Bella Thorne on the Mouse Channel’s Shake It Up! were also part of the premiere.

The Vampire Diaries is new tonight with episode 2.14 “Crying Wolf” that takes the vampire/werewolf grudge to a new level.

Elena and Stefan try to have some alone time but as always in Mystic Falls, there is some supernatural being to ruin your romance. In the preview video below, Tyler takes aim at Stefan and has to choose whether he kills him or not. I’ll go with the “or not” part, thank you.

Here is the official synopsis:

SECRETS AND LIES — Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) get away for what they hope will be a romantic weekend at the Gilbert family lake house, not realizing that they’ve been followed. Jenna (Sara Canning) starts to worry that Alaric (Matt Davis) isn’t being honest with her. Jules (guest star Michaela McManus) explains the importance of the sun and moon curse to Tyler (Michael Trevino), but leaves out an important detail. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) attends a tea at the Historical Society in order to talk to Elijah (guest star Daniel Gillies), but Elijah isn’t giving up any secrets. With help from Caroline (Candice Accola) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Bonnie (Katerina Graham) uses deceptive measures to get shocking new information out of Luka (guest star Bryton James). Finally, Tyler offers Matt (Zach Roerig) some relationship advice. David Von Ancken directed the episode written by Brian Young (#214).

The Victoria’s Secret models, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge and Erin Heatherton strike a pose while launching the new “Love Me” line of lingerie from the undie’s retailer.

The ladies stopped by the VS store in Herald Square in New York City for the event and had heart shaped “Love Me” balloons surrounding them.

Here are the first images from the upcoming film On the Road starring Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund.

In the screen adaption of Jack Kerouac’s novel On The Road, Garrett stars as Dean Moriarty who hits the road with Sal Paradise (Sam Riley). As for Kristen, she plays Garret’s young wife, Marylou!

Wow! She’s happy and smiling! And I thought The Twilight Saga had reduced her to a sorrowful sad depressed character all the time. I guess now that The Twilight Saga is drawing to a close she’ll have to show some more range, which I think she’s totally capable of.

Lindsay Lohan rolled up to court today in a skin tight, white dress for her fashion runway walk court appearance and plead not guilty to grand theft. See why Lindsay is being charged here.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith L. Schwartz told Lohan:

“You’re in a different situation now with a felony,” he said after setting her bail.

Lohan has $20,000 in bail for her original DUI case and another $20,000 for this case. The judge warned the actress that if she violated her parole at all he will revoke her bail and send her immediately to jail.

“You’re no different than anyone else,” he added. “So please, don’t push your luck.”

Lohan responded:

“Yes sir.”

Lindsay was also ordered not to contact the store after the owners received flowers from someone and the owners were freaked out by the gesture.

Lohan has posted bail and is free until trial or a plea bargain is struck.
