After having surgery to repair a hole in his heart a little more than a week ago, Bret Michaels called in his doctor for a health scare.

The 47 year-old Poison singer suffered a severe drop in blood pressure and wasn’t feeling well, prompting the physician visit but luckily, Michaels is doing just fine.

Bret suffered no setbacks and is fine,” said Dr. Mansour Assar, an interventional cardiologist who was involved with the procedure carried out on January 24. “It’s always good for patients to be evaluated when they’re not feeling well,” he said.

The possible reason for the plunge in blood pressure is attributed complications from diabetes leading to dehydration and exhaustion.

Michaels was discharged from a Phoenix area hospital and is recuperating at home with fiance Kristi Gibson and their two daughters.

Christina Applegate has given birth to her first child.

The Samantha Who actress and her fiance, musician Martyn LeNoble, had a baby girl on Thursday, January 27th. Their daughter weighed in at 7lb 8 oz and is named Sadie Grace.

Applegate, 39, survived a bout with breast cancer 2 years ago and had a double mastectomy, which she credits LeNoble, 41, for helping her through.

The couple began dating three years ago and became engaged on Valentine’s Day 2010. This is their first child.
