Jodie Foster has had an uphill battle on her hands in promoting her latest effort, The Beaver.

With a premise that’s challenging to market – a depressed man who uses a beaver hand puppet to communicate with everyone around him – and it’s star, Mel Gibson, who’s off screen life has overshadowed the film and pushed the release date as he has battled the court of public opinion, Foster has persevered with the project.

She stands by the embattled actor, steadfastly refusing to let her opinion sway.

“He’s so incredibly loving and sensitive, he really is,” she tells The Hollywood Reporter. “He is the most loved actor I have ever worked with on a movie. And he’s not saintly, and he’s got a big mouth, and he’ll do gross things your nephew would do. But I knew the minute I met him that I would love him the rest of my life.”

Regardless of the taped screaming matches between Gibson and his former lover Oksana Grigorieva, the actress and director maintains her support for him and praises his performance.

“God, I love that man,” Foster says. “The performance he gave in this movie, I will always be grateful for. He brought a lifetime of pain to the character that we’ve been talking about for years, that I knew was part of his psyche and who he is. It’s part of him that is beautiful and that I want people to know, too. I can’t ever regret that.”

Loyalty isn’t found in Hollywood often so it’s pretty stunning that someone like Gibson has inspired this in Foster.

The Beaver premiered at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas yesterday and is already garnering positive reviews. The film finally gets a limited released on May 6th.

Joe Jonas finds himself on the cover of Details magazine’s April issue.

The singer and actor is ready to branch out on his own musically, away from the tween stylings of The Jonas Brothers, and has been working on a solo album for a few months.

“I’m growing up, the fans are growing up,” Joe says. “I’ve gone through a lot of stuff in my life so far. There are stories I haven’t really been able to tell. When you’re writing with three people, you wind up with a sound that might be—not average—but, you know, expected.”

Jonas says working with his brothers, Nick and Kevin, was great but collaborating can be stifling. This is his chance to branch out and make the music that he really enjoys.

“I wanted to do something you could hear in a club or something you could dance to, something that’s fun—something that’s me.”

Joe has dated some of young Hollywood’s hottest stars including Taylor Swift, who immortalized her post-breakup feelings in her song “Forever & Always.” Will we hear Joe’s response to Swift in song?

“I think all artists have a right to write about what happens to them. But,” he adds with a smile, “I have a right to write about things too.”

The 21 year-old won’t say specifically he’s written about Swift, but does cop to having his heart broken (widely believed to be by actress Camilla Belle) and believes “people might wanna hear my side of the story.”

Those nude photos won’t go away and Vanessa Hudgens has had enough.

The Beastly star has been hit by another leak of explicit photos she reportedly took of herself a few years ago and the actress is asking for police help in discovering who is up to no good.

Her lawyer, Christopher Wong, told TMZ:

“Vanessa is deeply upset and angered that these old photos, which were taken years  ago, continue to resurface. “It is particularly disturbing that whoever got a hold of these private photos seem to be intent on illegally leaking them out over a long period of time.”

In the latest naughty pics released, Vanessa is shown solo and with another girl, Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 star Alexa Nikolas.

Her attorney continues “”We are actively working with law enforcement to determine who is responsible and to hold them accountable for their actions.”

There is the implication that whoever is sending out these photos have suspiciously timed them to any movie release Hudgens is involved in.

The 22 year-old actress movie Beastly, hit theaters recently and Sucker Punch is due in another two weeks.

I’d be pretty ticked off too.

Glam and partying too late, the video gives Moss a chance to be – well, very Moss-y. Big shades, fabulous clothes, running to runway shows, and oh yeah, applying lipstick. (Is this a mockumentary?)

Tina Fey lands on the cover of the April 2011 issue of InStyle.

The multi-talented Fey is not only writing and starring on TV’s 30 Rock, she has authored a book, Bossypants, out April 5th where she tackles her own life with her dead-on sense of humor.

While the actress may be in charge of somethings, Fey claims her daughter is the boss of her.

“My daughter. Kids are definitely the boss of you,” she said. “Anyone who will barge into the room while you are on the commode is the boss of you. And when you explain to them that you’re on the commode and that they should leave but they don’t? That’s a high-level boss.”

Although the 40 year-old comedienne jokes about her daughter’s ability to rule her even during a bathroom break, she isn’t all laughs about how harsh the internet critics can be.

“Any time you talk about being a working mother and you complain about it in any way, people eat your face,” she says. “I remember reading some interview where Gwyneth Paltrow said something like, ‘I missed my kids on the set one day and I was crying.’ And I thought, Yeah, I’ve totally done that.”

The 30 Rock star went on to say “But on the website where I read it there were these furious comments. ‘But you’re a movie star!’ Yes, it’s much worse for a mom serving in Afghanistan. Of course. But there’s just no forgiveness.”

Kylie Minogue slips on a pair of ear-wings for her Aphrodite tour titled “Les Folies” as she makes a stop at the Galaxie d’Amneville in Amneville, France.

The singer is putting on one heck of a show with glittering backdrops, winged horses, acrobats and synchronized swimmers in a spectacle that is wowing her fans.

Minogue collaborated with design team Dolce & Gabbana for this tour which includes everything from Marie Antoinette and Grecian goddess inspired gowns, feathers, fascinators and a few wings here and there.

Rapper Nate Dogg, whose real name is Nathaniel D. Hale, has died at the age of 41 on Tuesday, March 15th.

The cause of death is unknown at this time although Warren G., who worked with Nate on their hit “Regulate” tweeted on Sunday that the rapper had two strokes, in 2007 and 2008.

“For those that dont know awhile back nate had 2 strokes he is in therapy thanks again for your support,” he said.

Nate Dogg was born in Long Beach, California and went to school with Snoop Dogg. He left school at the age of 16 and spent 3 years in the Marine Corps, before returning to Southern California and forming 213 with Warren and Snoop. He made his debut on Dr. Dre’s album The Chronic.

Snoop Dogg posted a message about his long time friend and collaborator saying: “We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met.” He continued “”I love u buddy luv. U will always b wit me 4ever n a day u put the g n g funk u put the 1 n 213 n u put yo stamp on evrybdy u ever didit wit”

Justin Bieber fans have three figures of the teen star to behold.

Madame Tussaud’s wax museums in London, New York and Amsterdam all got the pre-haircut swoop do Bieber look-a-likes in their midst for display.

“I’m honored to be getting my own wax figures,” Bieber previously said. “To be immortalized in wax alongside some of my idols — Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyoncé and my mentor, Usher — is incredibly exciting and very cool.”

Not content with just the statement, Justin posted a message to fans as he attended the London museum’s unveiling today.

“arrived at @tussaudslondon to see my WAX figure!! the 1st time i saw a wax figure was in nyc and all we could do was look thru the glass.”

“Now we are here in London and they r about to show my figure here and in amsterdam and in nyc at the one we looked thru the glass. #DREAMBIG.”

The 17 year-old later thanked Madame Tussaud’s and fans.

“thanks to the fans and @TussaudsLondon for today. from staring thru the glass to being made in wax inside… #neversaynever”
