Courtney Cox Tells Harper’s Bazaar “I Need Grounding”

Courtney Cox is the April 2011 cover for Harper’s Bazaar.

The Cougar Town actress had a chance to open up about her recent struggles through her separation from David Arquette. The pair were married for 11 years when things went south in the fall of 2010 and Arquette chose an interesting way of trying to work out his demons.

Cox defends Arquette, including his revelations on Howard Stern’s satellite radio show and her ability to analyze the situation rationally shows:

“If you didn’t hear the Howard Stern interviews and you just read quotes, I’m sure it seemed out of context, crazy,” she explains. “I’m not saying there wasn’t some crazy behavior, but if you know who David is, you know what his intentions are, how honest he is, and how big his heart is.”

The 46 year-old actress has had numerous opportunities to slam Arquette, but instead chooses to showcase his vunerability.

“You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person,” she says. “He was dealing with things the best way he could. And don’t get me wrong, he was on a show for entertainment. David is smart, and David is also a showman. He knew what he was doing.” She pauses. “I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I don’t think he’ll be doing more Howard Stern any time soon. He’s not out to harm. But I’m his biggest protector. I can’t help it.”

Cox says she understands what she needs and is just trying to find her own happiness:

“The thing is, when you get older, it’s more about compatibility than it is about love,” she says thoughtfully. “I think it’s more about needing just a kind of peace and stillness. I’m kind of all over the place, and I need grounding. I want to be calm. I want to change a lot. I want to live not outside but inside. It’s nothing with David; it’s just what I’m searching for.”

Courtney’s issue is on sale Tuesday March 29th.

Mandy Moore At Virgin Mobile’s Love Button Launch

Mandy Moore was cheery in Toronto today as she helped launch the Virgin Love Button app for Virgin Mobile Canada this afternoon.

The Tangled actress chose black leather pants paired with a tangerine colored button down shirt for the event to get a new app out for Facebook users.

The social network app allows the user to “love” something instead of just “like” it.

The 26 year-old said “With a Love Button, I’d get to share those special posts, pages and photos that I don’t just like – I love,” says Mandy. “I get what the button is about. I don’t want to just like things on my profile but love them, especially things like comments from fans or news about my favourite artists.”

Moore also posted on twitter that by signing up, Virgin Mobile is donating to Japan’s earthquake relief efforts:

“Spread the love and do some good. @virginmobilecan will donate even more to #japan for every item loved at bit.ly/vm-love #lovebutton

Rihanna’s Long-Awaited Cover For April Vogue

Rihanna finally lands the cover of American Vogue for the April 2011 issue and she has the brightest shade of hair yet!

That gorgeous fiery orange hair (love it!) with a Jessica Rabbit ‘do – covering one eye with cascades of waves – and a skin tight dress with embellishments that look painted on. The “S&M” singer is a knockout.

The youngest black woman to ever make the cover of famous fashion bible, Rihanna was excited and in January tweeted about the photo shoot experience:

“Just wrapped my first American Vogue cover shoot with Annie Leibovitz…Rah! #SEXY”

Yes, she is!

Emma Watson Lands Lancôme Deal

Making the most of her time off from college, Emma Watson has landed a deal to become the new face of Lancôme cosmetics.

Watson, 20, confirmed the announcement on twitter with a series of clues, followed by this:

“It starts with an L and ends with an E. I’m sure you have guessed the new face of Lancôme is me! :-) ,”

The announcement follows speculation that started back in February. The addition of Watson to the brand’s already stellar set of leading ladies who front for the company include Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts and Penelope Cruz.

Lancôme president Youcef Nabi said in a statement, “Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation. We are delighted by the new collaboration with Emma, who brings a fresh spirit to Lancôme.”

The Harry Potter actress is already shooting the ad campaign with legendary photographer Mario Testino and the ads are expected to appear in magazines sometime this summer.

Matthew Fox At The 2011 Olivier Awards

Matthew Fox attended the 2011 Olivier Awards at the Theatre Royal in London on Sunday, March 13th.

The LOST actor turned up at the ceremony sporting a healthy beard to go with his new role in the Neil LaBute stage drama, In A Forest, Dark And Deep.

Fox said he agrees with one thing his character said: musicians should stick to what they know.

“I get to say some outrageous stuff about U2 in this play. My character used to like U2. Now he thinks they’re rubbish, and I think he’s right. Everything they’ve released in the last 15 years sounds so overdone. Also, he believes passionately that rock stars shouldn’t try to save the world. I tend to agree with him. Rock stars should stick to being good rock stars.”

Vanessa Hudgens Is Shape’s April Cover Girl

Vanessa Hudgens shows off her hot body for the April cover of Shape magazine.

The Bandslam actress shared that she really had work to do on her body and her eating habits when she started filming and had trouble fitting in to her costume.

“I was so unhealthy. I used to go to Cold Stone Creamery, get a tub of Butterfinger ice cream and eat it all before bedtime. And my fingers were permanently stained orange from Cheetos. When I came back [to High School Musical], I almost couldn’t get my costume on. When I finally got it zipped up, my boobs were up to my chin!”

The 22 year-old started to shape up but it was nothing compared to the training for her movie Sucker Punch.

“I knew it was going to be hard but I didn’t know how hard. In the beginning I could dead lift 135 lbs. By the end, I lifted 180 lbs. I was a monster.”

Hudgens spoke about her ex, Zac Efron, and how she felt relaxed with him.

“It was nice to have someone to share all those experiences with. It was a good thing. The relationship kept me grounded and because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn’t need to try to be someone that I’m not.”

Hudgens movie Beastly is in theaters now and Sucker Punch opens March 25th.

Mila Kunis Did Not Break Up Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel ended their relationship last week and within hours, the rumors circulated that Mila Kunis was the cause.

Timberlake is costarring with the Black Swan actress in an upcoming movie and the pair’s onscreen chemistry was alleged to have carried over in real life.

Timberlake’s pals are coming forward saying it isn’t what you think.

“They’re not in a relationship,” the source tells People magazine. “They star in a movie called Friends with Benefits but they’re just friends. That’s it. They are not together.”

Biel and Timberlake were just at an end, claims the JT pal.

“Mila had nothing to do with their break-up,” the source says. “In fact, no one came between them. They decided their relationship ran its course and it was time to move on.”

Whatever happened between Biel and Timberlake, seems to have ended as amicably as it could so there is no reason to bring drama where their isn’t.

Jake Gyllenhaal Men’s Journal Cover For April

Jake Gyllenhaal gets serious on the cover of Men’s Journal magazine for April 2011.

Pensive and almost brooding, the actor reveals he takes his training seriously and drives himself pretty hard.

“I’ve had to teach myself to slow down a bit,” he confesses. “Because I get so into it, it becomes a real addiction. But it’s like a New Year’s resolution.”

The Source Code actor thinks a bit more introspection is called for in his life saying, “To sit down and read a book. Life’s not a bike ride. I wouldn’t say exercise less, but sit with myself.”

Good advice for anyone.

The Gyllenhaal issue is on newsstands now.
