Another Kate Middleton Wedding Dress Designer Rumor

Sarah Burton, the creative director behind the Alexander McQueen fashion house, is reportedly the woman who will design the wedding dress for Kate Middleton.

Burton landed the job of director at McQueen in October, following his suicide in early 2010 and has been quietly making a name for herself since. Burton had been McQueen’s trusted and invaluable assistant for years after she came to his attention as an intern back in 1996.

Burton is denying the appointment with a spokesperson saying:

“Sarah is busy working on her new collection for the Tuesday show and she was as surprised as the rest of us to hear about this. She is not designing the dress.”

Along with Bruce Oldfield and Daniella Issa Heylayel, Burton’s name is mentioned most often as the one who is getting the nod for the coveted design.

The April 29th nuptials of Kate Middleton and Prince William are fast approaching and Middleton’s choice will make headlines around the world but the future Princess has said repeatedly she wants to keep both the design and creator a secret until the big moment.

If she has chosen Burton, this would be my personal favorite (although I’m not the one walking down the aisle.) Burton had an almost impossible task to take on her mentor’s famous label after his death but she has managed to honor his style and infuse her own take into the couture designs.

Halle Berry & Olivier Martinez Saturday Motorcycle Ride

Halle Berry jumped on the back of boyfriend Olivier Martinez’s motorcycle on Saturday after the two had lunch at Pizzicotto in Brentwood, California for a spin around town.

The super hot duo spent the day together before Berry had to fly to New York for work on the film, New Year’s Eve.

Her costar in the movie, Alyssa Milano, tweeted today:

“I’m working with Halle Berry and Hilary Swank today on #NewYearsEve. Both such strong, smart, talented, beautiful women. I’m a lucky girl.”

Lindsay Lohan Survelliance Video Will Show Up Online Soon

Lindsay Lohan might be the luckiest gal going right now.

In what could be seen as a complete compromise of her possible impending trial, the surveillance footage that is a key piece of evidence in her grand theft charge, has been sold to a company who is promising to stream it online.

Kamofie & Co., the jewelry store that Lohan is charged with stealing a $2,500 gold necklace from, has made their bank account fatter by selling the video to Spencer & Co. of Beverly Hills, which says it will post the video soon, for all the world to see.

“Speculation as to what occurred that day has been the subject of intense rumor in the media and elsewhere. Many individuals want to be able to see the video streams from the jewelry store’s surveillance cameras, and we have obtained the exclusive license for them. The tapes speak for themselves.”

As of now, photo stills from the footage is exclusive to ET Online and show the actress in the store trying on pieces. The photos do not show (or make clear) that Lohan is trying on the necklace that she left with but does show the friend with her, who allegedly distracted the clerk, just before the pair left the building.

Prosecutors are said to be unhappy about the sale of the tape. The credibility of the store owners would be called into question if plea negotiations fail and the owners need to testify.

If Shawn Holley, Lohan’s attorney, is able to convince a jury that the company was out to make a buck off of the actress, it would bolster Lindsay’s case.

Why are people allowed to compromise evidence or a possible jury pool like this? Do you think, with an impending court case, anyone should be able to sell their story or videos?

I think Kamofie & Co. should be ashamed of themselves. If they truly believe Lohan was a thief, they should have let the court system sort it out and not made a dollar off of her problems. At the very least, it could have waited until after the charges were settled.

They’ve received plenty of free publicity and notoriety. I certainly hope it’s not the terrible money grab it seems – Lindsay’s freedom is on the line and some things should be more important.

Kamofie & Co. get nothing but scorn from me.

What do you think?

WATCH: Bruno Mars New Video ‘Liquor Store Blues’ Feat. Damian Marley

Grammy-winning pop star Bruno Mars goes reggae in his latest video.  ‘Liquor Store Blues’ featuring Damian Marley, sounds – and looks – more like it should be named ‘Medical Marijuana Dispensary Blues.’  I mean, there’s enough haze floating in and around this video to make Snoop Dogg feel right at home.  And Mars’ sleepy eyes look even sleepier than usual, if you know what I mean.

In classic blues form, Bruno talks about how he’s just trying to make it, but feels brought down by his dead end job and inability to pay the rent.  He’s at the liquor store with “whiskey coming through [his] pores” getting ready to forget his troubles.  He sings:

“One shot for my pain, one drag for my sorrow, get messed up today, I’ll be OK tomorrow.”

Even though I feel like I’ve got a contact high just from watching this video, it’s reggae lite – pure, inoffensive pop, which is, naturally, what Bruno Mars does best.

Check out the video and then if you can dig your head out of the Doritos bag, drop a comment and tell us what you think.

Kate Middleton & Prince William’s Royal Wedding Preparation Is Under Way

All of London is abuzz with the upcoming nuptials of Prince William and his bride-t0-be, Kate Middleton.

TAKE A PEEK AT THE ROYAL WEDDING INVITATION HERE

A bride in Kate’s position needs to make sure she’s got a fabulous wardrobe, as she’s sure to be photographed everywhere she goes.  She’s putting a lot of thought into her wardrobe already, having asked to review some Victoria Beckham dresses last month.   Kate’s also working with her friend Rosie Wild, owner of Moda Rosa in Arlesford outside of London.  A source said:

“This is Kate’s favorite shop.  Many of those fabulous Temperly, Jenny Packham and Issa dresses were all bought here. It’s Kate’s secret fashion spot.  Rosie is helping pull together a whole new wardrobe for the honeymoon and [royal visit to] Canada. Kate will make the final decision on everything.”

SEE WILLS & KATE’S ADORABLE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS HERE

As for the ceremony itself, the florals are going to be constructed in a Chelsea office with “newly blacked-out windows,” and a choir has started “secret rehearsals” of the hymns that the royal couple have selected.

But of course the detail that everyone wants in on is the wedding dress!  Although the designer of Kate’s dress is still a secret, sources in London say that it’s “being handcrafted in two secret locations.”

What is it about a royal wedding that is so exciting and magical?  In 1981 when Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer were married, I was a rapt 9 year old, glued to the television set.  When their son William gets married next month, I expect to be no less rapt, albeit considerably older now.  Sigh…..
