John Galliano has been fired from Dior, effective immediately.

After the video surfaced of the designer’s anti-semetic rant at a couple in a Parisian cafe where he was arrested for physical and verbal assault and drunkenly spouts things like “I love Hitler,” the venerable fashion house has kicked him to the curb by the House of Christian Dior:

“I very firmly condemn what was said by John Galliano, which totally contradicts the values which have always been defended by Christian Dior,” said Christian Dior CEO Sidney Toledano.

Miss Dior Cherie spokesmodel Natalie Portman publicly denouncing his actions (see story here,) said she was “shocked and disgusted” by his remarks and was expected to wear a design from Dior to the Oscars but chose Rodarte, who costumed Black Swan, instead.

The Academy Awards red carpet was virtually free of Galliano gowns.

Galliano leaves an impressive fashion legacy in ruins. Born in 1960 in Gibraltar, the family moved to London when John was 6 years-old.

He attended St. Martin’s College of Design and Art and later moved to Paris where many fashionistas caught on to his sense of exuberance and flair for the dramatic in his designs.

Even a stint in rehab (the one thing that seems to wipe the public minds of past transgressions) won’t help him now.

Mariska Hargitay really does get better with age!

The Law & Order: SVU actress attended the Moving Image Salute to Alec Baldwin at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on Monday February 28th.

Hargitay chose a long Carolina Herrera Spring 2011 gown with black and white embroidery details down the front and accentuating her great shape! She looks sexy as always!

Oscar winner Natalie Portman is taking a stand against Dior designer John Galliano’s outrageous comments that led to his arrest in Paris late last week.

The man who has had the fashion world at his feet with his innovative and forward designs was arrested last week after a physical and verbal assault on a couple at a cafe in the City of Lights.

A video of the incident surfaced where Galliano hurled anti-semitic remarks at patrons – see the video here. Warning – he says unbelievable vile things.

Portman, who is under contract with Dior released this statement Monday night:

“I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments that surfaced today,” Natalie said. “In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way.”

“I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful,”

Whether Portman’s contract still stands with the company or how she will proceed is unknown.

Charlie Sheen and the two women in his life he calls his “Goddesses’” Bree Olsen and Natalie Kenly, are talking about their lives together at his home, what Sheen has dubbed “Sober Valley Lodge.”

“I respect him as a man and respect him as the head of this household and trust him completely,” ex-nanny Natalie Kenly tells “Today”‘s Jeff Rossen. “But if there’s something I think is a little bit bad of an idea, I say, ‘hey babe, maybe we should think of it this way’ and it works for us, the system works for us.”

Kenly goes on to say that their days consist of lots of normal mundane things, errands, TV and spending time with his two twins with ex-wife Brooke Mueller.

According to Sheen, the three have a harmonious relationship:

“We have an open dialogue,” Sheen says. “Everybody’s vote has equal importance but when we’re approaching crisis I remind them, ‘Look I’m 22 years further down the road and most of the time, well in the last few days, all the time, my plan is going to be the best one in the room. So just trust me on that and everybody will win and everybody’s needs will be taken care of.’”

Adult film star Olsen is confident in Charlie’s decision making:

“I’m behind Charlie 100 percent in whatever he’d like to do,” she says.

Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler found themselves on the wrong side of the law Tuesday morning in West Hollywood.

Rutler and Aguilera were driving when L.A. County Sheriff Deptartment deputies pulled over a car being driven erratically by Rutler.

The boyfriend of Aguilera was arrested for driving under the influence and Aguilera was booked on public intoxication.

The singer was taken into custody because she was so far gone “she was unable to take care of herself, ” according to TMZ.

His bail was $30,000.00 and hers was $250.00.

The Burlesque actress’ friends have reportedly been urging her to seek treatment in rehab.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber pose together heading in to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Sunset Tower in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 27th.

Both teen stars are wearing Dolce & Gabbana (nothing says coupledom like matching designer duds!)

Selena wore a red draped chiffon gown and Justin opted for the all black tux, shirt, waistcoat, pants combo. Oh and that little splash of red pocket square to match his girlfriend.

Everybody say it now…. AWWWWW serious cuteness!

The twosome have been linked through photos (see their sneaky yacht kissing pics here) but neither have ever confirmed they were dating. Selena posted a photo to her twitter of her and Justin at the event with her hand on his knee.

No one can doubt them now.

Scarlett Johansson headed to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Sunset Tower in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 27th.

The actress wore a one-of-a-kind Dolce & Gabbana dress of old-fashioned grandma’s tablecloth looking lace in an old-fashioned color of dark mauve or burgundy or whatever you call it – it’s terrible!

The designers attempted to give the look a modern, edgy feel by making some areas of the garment see-through, including a butterfly shape on her chest.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana what were you thinking – it’s just awful on every level.
