Steve Carell is finishing up his days at The Office.

Carell’s Michael Scott proposed to Holly (Amy Ryan) in a candlelit (and sprinkler raining) office on tonight’s “Garage Sale” and then duo announced they were heading off to Colorado.

The big question remains who will be the next Scranton Branch manager?

After tonight’s episode, the announcer popped on to say “Well, well, well. Look who’s gonna be the new boss” and out steps WILL FERRELL.

Ferrell gave Carell a big hug and twitter was immediately ablaze with the possibility of the new addition.

Now the casting of Ferrell in a four episode arc has been anticipated and along with Ricky Gervais and Will Arnett having guest spots on the season finale, but there has been no official announcement that Ferrell is permanently joining the Dunder-Mifflin team.

So what do you think? Is this all a big tease? Will we see another boss next season?

The next new episode of The Office isn’t until April 17th, so we’ve got lots of time to speculate.

Invite schminvite!

Katy Perry loves the idea of being invited to the April 29th wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. So much so, that the invitation itself, is meaningless.

The “Fireworks” singer has not received her Royal invite but wants in anyway.

“I’m not invited, but am I going to be there? Yes!” she told a UK radio station. “I’m definitely crashing that wedding.”

This I’d love to see – her getting a boost over a fence from hubby Russell Brand. Love it!

The 26 year-old pop star talked about the duo’s shared love of all thing British and Monarchy.

“Me and Russell watch things all about the history. We want to go to the Tower of London, we were at Windsor Castle the other day…We watch all the movies and documentaries.”

I just adore her and I think Prince William and Kate need to make this happen.

The perennially youthful-looking Diane Lane headed to the Sucker Punch premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles to support director Zack Snyder’s latest effort.

Lane, who chose a golden yellow dress for the red carpet, has been cast in Snyder’s reboot of the Superman franchise as Clark Kent’s mother.

About the the rebooted franchise, the 46 year-old actress said “It’s going to be a wild ride.”

“I’ve always wanted to raise a good man,” she quips. “I thought that was the biggest challenge a woman could have, and so I get the embarrassment of riches.”

Kevin Costner is Superman’s dad and Henry Cavill is Superman/Clark Kent.

How dashing and debonair Robert Pattinson looks! Pattinson and his Oscar winning costar Reese Witherspoon, are front and center for this issue of Entertainment Weekly and you get to see past the Twilight Edward Cullen craze.

This guy has a movie star charisma and good looks that make you stop and take notice. No pasty white make-up or glittering skin – he’s moving out of the teen vampire role that won him legions of fans.

Pattinson and Witherspoon star in the upcoming Water For Elephants and they certainly make a pretty pair. And yes, while Reese is relegated to the background of this photo (it is clearly framed to highlight Robert for maximum sales,) the actor is aware that he may be hot today, but who knows about tomorrow. Celebrities can have an expiration date.

He tells EW “”I think people have an incredibly short shelf life, and you can never really predict what an audience wants or how to maintain a career, other than doing what you think is cool. Generally, what I think is cool is whatever everybody else hates.”

Billy Ray Cyrus is doing some fancy footwork backpedaling from his GQ interview comments that exploded in February.

In the article, Cyrus relayed his frustrations with the fame machine surrounding his daughter and Disney star Miley Cyrus. The elder Cyrus claimed he was continually used by the team of handlers to fall on the sword anytime something negative appeared about Miley.

But today, he’s singing a different tune. He says he let fathering duties slide in hopes of being a pal to his children.

“I did kind of approach being a dad as a friend … I was a great playmate. I mean, for teaching them how to camp and build fires and ride motorcycles and four-wheelers, and horses, and all those fun kind of things, I was really good at that,” he said. “As far as sitting down and doing algebra and science, the homework, I wasn’t very good at that. So I look back on it and think, ‘you know what? Maybe, no doubt, I could have been a better dad.”

Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus have reconciled and called off the divorce (they were separated at the time of the GQ story) and the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer wants people to know he didn’t mean Hannah Montana destroyed his family, fame did.

Robin Roberts asked him how he felt about the magazine’s headline: “Hannah Montana Destroyed My Family.”

He replied: “I hated it. I absolutely — I hated it, ’cause that’s not what I meant. And…I don’t think that’s what I said. But, regardless, that’s what was written. And I hated it because I love ‘Hannah Montana.’ I love Disney, I love the show. I love… the entertainment we’ve been able to make.”

Lindsay Lohan is adamant about not doing jail time and will face trial for the grand theft charges of stealing a $2500 necklace from Kamofie & Co. jewelers.

The actress has rejected a plea deal offered by Judge Keith Schwartz and maintains she did nothing wrong. Lohan is bent on proving it court and her attorney, Shawn Holley said:

“Ms. Lohan has maintained her innocence from the moment this case was filed and she has never wavered”

“Though many advised her to follow the safe route by taking ‘the deal’, the truth is, Ms. Lohan is innocent; she has a strong defense; and we are confident that a jury will listen to the evidence fairly and acquit her.”

Lohan will head back to court on April 22nd to appear before a different judge for preliminary trial issues and could face jail time anyway, if the judge decides to violate her parole.

Cheryl Cole was absolutely glowing as she headed into the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards held at Odeon Leicester Square in London on Wednesday, March 23rd.

The former Girls Aloud singer wore a beautiful earthy, clay-terracotta colored gown from from Sass & Bide that was just the perfect shade and shape for her.

The 27 year-old might be on American TV screens soon. Simon Cowell has said that she is “still in the mix” for the other two judges spots left on his U.S. version of the British hit X-Factor. Cowell announced producer L.A. Reid as a judge this week and says he hopes for the other decisions soon.

Vanessa Hudgens attended the premiere of her latest movie, Sucker Punch at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening.

Hudgens wore a silvery gray Jenny Packham dress with an open back and a bit of a train for the red carpet.

The 22 year-old actress appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show earlier in the afternoon where she was asked about her relationship with Josh Hutcherson. Hudgens said they were just friends and also told Ellen that she has a great friendship with her ex, Zac Efron.

Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris just got engaged in December, but is there already trouble in paradise?   Crystal was recently spotted at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles receiving the ardent attentions of another man.   Jordan McGraw (son of none other than Dr. Phil McGraw) spent the evening “kissing [Crystal's] shoulder and trying to hold her hand.”

A Playboy spokesperson pooh-poohed the rumors, characterizing the connection between these two as a “business relationship.” Guess it depends on what kind of business you’re conducting.  I mean, I would call my relationship with my insurance agent a “business relationship,” but I’ve never tried to kiss her or hold her hand.   If I were Jordan though, I’d back off – I have a feeling that we wouldn’t like the Hef if he got angry.
