Shockwave Debuts on New ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Banner

Here are two brand new character banners for the upcoming sequel Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Click below to see the hi-res versions!

I have to say, Shockwave is looking pretty cool! This banner looks almost cartoonish though, I hope the movie has as much fine detail without falling into CGI hell. Bumblebee is Bumblebee so there’s not much to be said about that one. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is out on July 1st, 2011.

Red Band ‘Change-Up’ Trailer with Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman Gets Raunchy

Here’s the red band trailer for the upcoming comedy The Change-Up starring Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman.

This movie looks pretty funny and incredibly raunchy. Hopefully it’s a lot more than shock factor humor that pulls in the laughs. This is from the same director as Wedding Crashers which I did find pretty funny. The pairing of Reynolds and Bateman seems great, they clearly have comic chemistry.

Newest ‘Green Lantern’ Poster is Alien

Here’s the latest poster for the upcoming comic book movie Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds.

This poster makes me think of saturday morning cartoons. There are many high-concept characters in this movie, and while it might seem like a hard pill to swallow, the most recent footage actually looks pretty good. Green Lantern will be in theaters on June 17th, 2011.

Jeremy Renner to Star in ‘The Bourne Legacy’

Jeremy Renner has officially been cast to star in the upcoming spin-off/sequel The Bourne Legacy.

The search is over. Universal Pictures has formally offered Jeremy Renner the lead role in the Tony Gilroy-directed The Bourne Legacy. Renner, who has been nominated for Oscars the past two years for his work in The Hurt Locker and The Town, is expected to sign on quickly to play a new character in the spinoff film that begins production in September. Like the Jason Bourne character played by Matt Damon in the first three The Bourne Identity thrillers, Renner will play an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne.

This movie seems like it’s just being made for the sake of stretching out the franchise. There is certainly an audience, I’m just hoping they manage to make the movie live up to the first three. Renner is definitely a great choice, he’s a dynamic and talented actor. I’m glad he’s stepping into major lead roles like this one, he’s got a bright future ahead.

‘Little Thor’ TV Spot Rips off Darth Vader Superbowl Commercial (Video)

Here’s a brand new promo trailer for the upcoming movie Thor.

This is funny, I love that they didn’t use a single shot from the actual movie for this random little promo. If you missed the original superbowl commercial with Darth Vader check it out here. It’s not nearly as funny if you haven’t seen the first version. Thor will be out in theaters on May 6th, 2011.

Disneynature’s ‘Chimpanzee’ Trailer is Beyond Adorable

Here’s the brand new trailer for next year’s Disneynature release Chimpanzee.

I’ve been a big chimpanzee lover since I was a kid. Chimps are very human like animals, with an intelligence level just below that of dolphins. Their lives are often dramatic and very personal stories, especially for those who observe them. Now Disneynature is releasing one of those personal stories for the masses, and it looks great. I’m just sad I have to wait a year to see it!

’30 Minutes or Less’ Red Band Trailer is Hilarious

Here is the brand new red band trailer for the upcoming comedy 30 Minutes or Less starring Jesse Eisenberg and Azis Ansari.

This trailer had me laughing out loud, I love Azis Ansari’s aggressive sarcasm! Jesse Eisenberg seems better for comedy roles like this than serious Mark Zuckerberg type characters.  I really didn’t know much about this movie until now, sign me up! It opens on August 12th, 2011.

Kate Beckinsale Starring in ‘Total Recall’?

Kate Beckinsale has reportedly been offered a role in the upcoming remake Total Recall.

Kate Beckinsale has been offered one of the female lead roles alongside Colin Farrell in the Sony Pictures remake Total Recall.I’m told she’s been offered to play Lori, who was portrayed in the 1990 Paul Verhoeven-directed actioner by Sharon Stone.

This is obviously not set in stone, but she seems like a good person to throw in the mix. It should be interesting to see how a then futuristic movie will look as it’s remade. I really hope they don’t overuse the CGI, I mean, obviously it will be used but I hope the sets are actually built, not green screen.

Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin in Talks For ‘Gangster Squad’

Sean PennRyan Gosling and Josh Brolin are all in talks to star in the upcoming film Gangster Squad.

Warner Bros has begun negotiating with Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin to star in Gangster Squad, the Will Beall-scripted crime drama that will be directed by Zombieland helmer Ruben Fleischer. Production will begin in the fall…

…The drama, based on a series of articles by Paul Lieberman, is the fact-based tale of the crime fighting exploits of a squad of elite Los Angeles officers in the 1940s charged with stopping him and other mobsters. Screenwriter Beall is a former South Central Los Angeles cop who wrote the novel L.A. Rex.

Sounds like it has a lot of potential, especially if they get all three of these guys onboard. Zombieland was a great little movie so I’m glad Ruben Fleischer is onboard to direct this one. These guys seem fit for a period piece set in L.A., the city has such a rich history, one that’s often overshadowed by Chicago and New York in film and television.

First Look: ‘The Skin I Live In’ With Antonio Banderas (NSFW)

Here are the first official images from the upcoming film The Skin I Live In from director Pedro Almodovar.

An adaptation of Thierry Jonque‘s novel Tarantula, it is in part about the revenge a plastic surgeon (played by Antonio Banderas) seeks against the man who raped his daughter. But the surgeon is also sort of a psycho whose home life with his wife is, to say the very least,a bit deviant, and not quite to her taste.

See the NSFW image of Banderas in his lab after the jump.
