Isla Fisher May Star in ‘The Great Gatsby’

Isla Fisher is in talks for a role in the upcoming remake The Great Gatsby from Moulin Rouge! director Baz Lurhmann.

Isla Fisher is in negotiations to join Baz Lurhmann’s 3D adaptation of The Great Gatsby being made by Warner Bros.

Fisher will join Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey MulliganBen Affleck is also in negotiations to join the production, which is eyeing a late summer start…

…Fisher will play Myrtle, a married woman having an affair with Buchanan. She is later killed by a speeding car, an event that leads to the book’s tragic ending.

Fisher is good, I’m sure she’ll be a great addition to this movie. I’ve yet to see her do a fully serious role like this, she’s always making me laugh in her comedic roles. Affleck is officially out of the picture, which I’m glad about, he doesn’t seem like a good fit for this kind of movie. This movie is guaranteed to be a big one when it’s released next year.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt And Marion Cotillard Officially Signed on ‘Dark Knight Rises’

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard have been officially signed for roles in The Dark Knight Rises.

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie en Rose”) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have joined the cast of “The Dark Knight Rises,” the epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend.

Cotillard will appear as Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham. Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon. The film reunites the actors with Christopher Nolan, who recently directed them in the award-winning blockbuster “Inception.”

Both of them were announced previously but weren’t officially signed until today. The rumors about Gordon-Levitt possibly playing Robin the Boy Wonder are also officially squashed, I have to say I’m very relieved. Cotillard seems like a perfect fit for the world of Gotham City, she’s just got that big city style. The Dark Knight Rises is getting closer and closer to beginning production, there can’t be many more big casting announcements left.

Elizabeth Banks, Leven Rambin and Jack Quaid Join ‘Hunger Games’

Actors Elizabeth Banks, Levin Ramblin and Jack Quaid have all been added to the cast of the upcoming book-to-movie adaptation The Hunger Games.

Jack Quaid, son of actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, and Leven Rambin (Grey’s Anatomy, All My Children) will play District 1 tributes Marvel and Glimmer, it was revealed Tuesday…

Elizabeth Banks is in talks to play Effie Trinket, Katniss’ pink-haired showbiz type who becomes her handler.

This cast keeps growing, it’s making me realize how many characters there are in this story. I’m more and more motivated to read this book, the more I hear about the casting of the movie. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the story, I’m sure the movie is a guaranteed hit. All these young new actors are getting a big kick-start to their careers. They must be stoked!

Kara DioGuardia Reveals Rape & Molestation In ‘A Helluva High Note’

As far memoirs go, Kara DioGuardia’s upcoming A Helluva High Note, has a lot of low notes in the songwriter’s life.

DioGuardia reveals her childhoos sexual trauma, beginning at the age of 11, at the hands of family friend’s son, who assaulted her in a backyard shed.

“On one particular day, he took me into the back shed of his house and put his hands all over my breasts and vagina,” she writes. “I remember freezing and not knowing what to do.”

The former American Idol judge also recounts her date rape, in 2000, as her career was taking off, by a “fairly known producer” who took Kara out to dinner one night.

“[W]ithin a few hours, he was on top of me, pumping, sweating and speaking to me in Spanish, not a word of which I could understand.”  Unable to fight him off because he was too strong, DioGuardia asked him to stop repeatedly to no avail.

The 40 year-old also sheds light on her A.I. departure saying she wasn’t fired, she left because she wanted to have a baby and asked to be let out of her contract.

“I wanted a child, and there was no way I could get pregnant under the stress of 18-hour work days and live TV,” she writes. “I had undergone three unsuccessful rounds of IVF during Season 9.”

“Leaving was painful, and there will always be a part of me that wanted to stay,” DioGuardia said. “But my desire to be in control of my destiny was larger than my need to be a household name.”

Her memoir will be on sale April 26th. She is also costarring with Jewel in Bravo TV’s upcoming reality program, Platinum Hit, which debuts on May 30th.

Demi Lovato Is Taking A Chance By Leaving ‘Sonny’ Show

Demi Lovato has decided to leave her hit Disney TV show Sonny with A Chance.

The 18 year-old star, who sought treatment for “physical and emotional issues” late last year believes this is the best thing she can do for her health.

“I don’t think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery,” says Lovato. “Being in front of a camera would make me nervous.”

The teenager isn’t leaving show business all together, however. She will focus on music and her singing career.

“It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music,” said Lovato. “It’s kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn’t be a better time for me to move on.”

Demi’s decision to leave the show is supported by the team at the Mouse network.

“We respect Demi’s decision to focus fulltime on her music and not immediately return to her acting career,” a rep for the Disney Channel said in a statement. “She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity.”

The show will change focus and rely on the So Random! sketch comedy segments that were a part of the Sonny story line. The new version will hit the Disney Channel in June.

Lovato opens up in this week’s People magazine on sale Friday, April 22nd. She is also scheduled to be on Good Morning America that same day, with a pre-taped interview the teen did with Robin Roberts.

Kate Hudson Says Being Pregnant Is “Like Getting Stoned”

Kate Hudson graces the cover of InStyle magazine’s May issue.

The Something Borrowed actress opened up about her love, Muse front man Matthew Bellamy and her pregnancy.

“Being pregnant is wonderful,” she said. “You do get the pregnant mush-brain… you know what it’s like? It’s like getting stoned.”

Hudson also confirmed that the pregnancy wasn’t quite an accident.

“Well, it wasn’t like we didn’t know what we were doing,” she said to In Style. “There were no ovulation kits involved. We were tempting fate, and it worked.”

The 32 year-old actress shared how she enjoys Bellamy’s ability to convey what’s on his mind.

“You always hear people say, ‘I never thought this would be the person I would end up with,’ but I don’t think you ever really know. I love that Matthew knows how to express himself. He shows his love. He communicates,” Hudson said.

Scarlett Johansson’s Beauty Showcased In D&G Ads

Strikingly beautiful, Scarlett Johansson’s new ad campaign for D&G Spring 2011 make-up line have the Hollywood beauty back in top form.

Johansson, who was the subject of an unflattering photograph when out for a run with new beau Sean Penn, puts those out of shape rumors to rest as this photo shoot is everything glamorous you imagine.

Calling the print ads Italian Summertime, Scarlett gets all the current color trends in for the shot: golden eyeshadow, violet nails and taupe lips complete the soft make up look.

Design duo Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce worked with make-up artist Pat McGrath to develop the line.

Says Gabbana in Elle UK, ‘We wanted to reflect the Sicilian culture with a fresh interpretation. We began by imagining a young bride’s hope chest, full of treasures from the past and the present that are the key to her future.’

The look is pretty and delicate unlike the previous ad photos where Johansson rocked a more severe look of darker colors.

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Get Cozy At ‘Water For Elephants’ Premiere

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart got cozy after the premiere of Water for Elephants and the duo were caught on camera.

While Stewart didn’t walk the red carpet, she did head inside through a back door and the two hopped in a car when they left an after party and the smooch happened.

Stewart, 21, and Pattinson, 24, shared the sweetly affectionate moment and every Twilight fan sighed.

The Breaking Dawn costars have been pretty darn smart about their public displays of affection but now that the vampire franchise is coming to an end (filming wise) perhaps they will feel a little less restricted about their relationship.

Check out the videos below of the twosome leaving the after party and hanging tight. (Read the article)
