Model Vida Guerra Being Sued For Birthday Party Fight

Vida Guerra had one heck of a birthday bash and might have to pay out for an altercation. The model was celebrating at the Hollywood hotspot Vanguard Club in March of 2010 when a fight broke out and the alleged incident occurred.

Three men have filed a lawsuit, seeking an unspecified amount in damages, because they say they were subjected to a “violent attack” from employees of the club and Guerra.

In the suit, the men claim they suffered “severe physical injuries” at the hands of the employees and want the Cuban-born model to fork over her cash.

The 37 year-old model recently took part in a campaign for PeTA where she urged Latinos not to eat meat and go vegetarian.

The “Spice Up Your Lives: Go Vegetarian” ads have Guerra urging a 30 day trial of the meat-free exsistance.

“I believe that being a vegetarian can definitely benefit, especially the Latin community because we’re used to just eating meats and meats,” she says. “The health benefits that you get as far as cholesterol, heart diseases, a bunch of diseases, actually—if you eliminate meat and dairy from your diet. I challenge anyone to try it out for 30 days and then evaluate.”

Evan Rachel Wood Tells Esquire Magazine She’s Bisexual

When she’s looking for love, it doesn’t have to come from a man.

Actress Evan Rachel Wood revealed to Esquire magazine she’s open to the possibilities.

“I’m up for anything. Meet a nice guy, meet a nice girl …” Wood, 23, told Esquire magazine in an interview.

And if she does happen to meet a woman she’s interested in, she takes on the more traditional guy aspects of dating.

“Yeah, I’m more kind of like the guy when it comes to girls. I’m the dominant one,” the Mildred Pierce star said. “I’m opening the doors, I’m buying dinner. Yeah, I’m romantic.”

Wood, 23, told the magazine she’s had a long fascination with gender bending.

“I grew up in love with David Bowie,” Wood said. “So I was always into very androgynous things. Guys, girls … I’m into androgyny in general.”

Evan stars in The Conspirator, which is in limited release in theaters now.

New Blu-ray Releases April 19th, 2011: Full List

Blu-ray is the new standard, DVD is on its way out and every week they are releasing many films on the relatively new format. Here’s the full list of Blu-ray movies out this week on April 19th, 2011.

This week the only big release is Gulliver’s Travels starring Jack Black which I still haven’t seen. Another release this week is the film that scored Nicole Kidman a well deserved Oscar nomination this year, Rabbit Hole. It’s a heartbreaking yet beautiful movie with stellar performances from both Kidman and Aaron Eckhart.

Five Fresh ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2′ Images

Here are five new official shots from the upcoming final chapter Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Cool images, certainly some good teaser shots here. This is easily one of my most anticipated movies of the summer. I am so glad I didn’t read the books so I don’t know what’s going to happen. It will be strange not having another one to look forward to, J.K. Rowling better get back to work!

Logan Lerman is ‘The Only Living Boy In New York’

Logan Lerman has been cast in the upcoming film The Only Living Boy in New York.

Deadline has the news, saying that Seth Gordon (The King of KongHorrible Bosses) is attached to direct the film. Allen Loeb wrote the script, which is called “a twisted coming-of-age tale in which a young man (Lerman) learns that his overbearing father is having an affair. The son tries to stop it, only to become involved with the woman as well.”

Not the most original idea I’ve ever heard for a film, but it sounds entertaining on some level. Logan Lerman is definitely coming up in the movie world. He was up for the role of Spider-man recently and is also starring in The Three Musketeers as D’Artangan. I saw him in Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief, not a bad actor (unlike the movie itself). I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of him in coming years.

Neil Patrick Harris Posts Twins Baby Photo!

Neil Patrick Harris is showing the love and it is serious cuteness!

The 37 year-old actor posted a photo of his partner, David Burtka, 35, and their twin babies, Harper Grace and Gideon Scott on twitter for the world to see.

“Relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. My heart is full of love,” Harris said of the family picture.

Harris and Burtka are biological fathers to the 6 month twins, who were carried by a surrogate.

“And then we inserted two eggs, one with my sperm, one with David’s sperm and they both took,” Harris told People.

Adds Burtka: “We don’t know whose is whose.”

No need – just look at those cute little cheeks! The proud dads are as adorable as their children.

Ke$ha & PETA Fight Against Canada’s Club Scene

Ke$ha and PETA are taking on the legalized clubbing of baby seals in Canada.

The singer has teamed up with the animal rights organization to draw awareness to and bring an end to the annual practice in Canada that allows seal hunters to brutally beat and skin the animals for the international fur trade.

“I was lucky enough to get to watch a bunch of wild seals recently and truly fell in love with these amazing creatures,” Ke$ha said in a statement. “Canada gets to be host to harp seals each year during their migration to the ice to give birth which is beautiful and peaceful. But because the babies’ fur is so soft, there are people who club and brutally kill these young animals.

She continued: “The Canadian seal slaughter is barbaric and archaic. My music and my fans are part of a movement of youth taking over the world with positive change. I know they’ll help me and PETA ban the Canadian seal slaughter so the only place you see baby seal fur is in a museum.”

Iggy Pop, who also is participating in the media and awareness event added: “Clubbing baby seals is sick and gives Canada a black eye. Don’t let the greed of a few tarnish the image of the whole country.”

If you want to join the petition to end this legalized hunt, go to PETA’s page here and sign the online form to add your name to the anti-cruelty movement.

‘Thor’ Gets Glowing Early Reviews

The upcoming Marvel film Thor starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman is getting great reviews already! Here are some of the snippets from various reviewers:

-The hammer-hurling god of thunder kicks off this superhero summer with a bang.

-Thor is not a groundbreaking film but it’s a satisfying and entertaining spectacle that facilitates decent character and narrative development over its running time.

-With the occasional laugh bolstering the simple story, Thor remains wholly intriguing largely because of its cast.

-Two hammers up! As much of an A to B job as these films are, they’re all very solid commercial blockbusters and Thor is no exception – in fact visually it might just be the most impressive.

I’m glad to hear the movie is good. Of course I’m still going to have to decide for myself and watch the movie when it comes out, but I’m glad to hear that it doesn’t fall into pit of campy badness. From the very beginning I’ve been worried about this one, having a character who hurls a giant hammer just seemed too crazy to translate to live action, but apparently it works! I’m looking forward to this movie even more now. Thor will be in theaters on May 6th, 2011.
