Demi Lovato Supports Catherine Zeta-Jones By Saying She’s ‘So Brave’

Having publicly struggled with her own personal issues recently, Disney teen actress Demi Lovato is giving Catherine Zeta-Jones a shout out for coming forward with her recent stay at a mental health facility.

Lovato, 18, who went to rehab in October of 2010 for personal and emotional issues,  remarked on her twitter page how she admires Zeta-Jones for her courage in dealing with her Bipolar II disorder.

“I don’t know Catherine Zeta-Jones personally but what she has decided to do it SO brave,” Lovato posted. “And SO difficult but worth it… I’m proud of her.”

Her tweet is in response to the revelation that Zeta-Jones had checked herself into a clinic earlier this year after a very rough year to seek treatment for her mental well-being.

The 41 year-old actress spent 5 days at an undisclosed center and is now back at work on set with Gerard Butler, filming Playing the Field.

Mariska Hargitay & Peter Hermann At ‘War Horse’ Opening Night

Mariska Hargitay and her husband, actor Peter Hermann attended the opening night of Broadway play War Horse at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theater on Thurdsay, April 14th.

Hargitay and Hermann welcomed baby Amaya Josephine into their house this month as the super-secret adoption finally came through for the couple. Hargitay’s Law & Order: SVU costar Ice-T is glad he can spread the news now.

“That’s been an ongoing secret on the set,” the star, who was born Tracy Marrow, tells OK magazine. “In this world where everything is so Internet-quick, it’s amazing that we were able to keep that quiet, but I think it’s because all of us are in the public eye. When someone says ‘this is personal,’ you want to respect that. If one of us had told, that would’ve been against everything we believe in.”

Jillian Michaels Admits She Doesn’t Like To Exercise

Being a trainer on The Biggest Loser and her own past struggles with weight certainly give Jillian Michaels incentive to stay healthy and in shape, but the workout queen admitted to Shape magazine that she really doesn’t enjoy it all that much.

“I don’t like to exercise: Let’s face it, there are plenty of other things we’d all rather be doing,” she tells Shape. “I know how good I’m going to feel when I’m finished, so I make myself do it — but I like to get in and get out.”

Michaels opens up about her struggle with obesity as a child and how attitudes have changed since then.

“I was 12 when my parents divorced,” Jillian said. “I had been a chubby kid anyway, but that [year] was when I hit 175 pounds — and I was only 5-feet-tall. Those were the 80s, and there was a lack of knowledge about diet. My mom thought juice was better than soda, and crackers were healthier than chips.

“Obesity wasn’t on the radar the way it is now,” she said.

The 37 year-old trainer also fessed up to having trouble spots that even she can’t fix.

“There’s this one dimple on the back of my butt that’s like a cavern,” the NBC personality said. “I swear to you, it’s just un-friggin’-believable!

“No matter how thin I get, I still have cellulite. I’ve tried every cream … nothing worked. I’ve finally reached a point where I accept my flaw, but that doesn’t mean I feel good about it.”

Jillian’s issue of Shape is on sale April 18th

Jennifer Lawrence Sizzles In Sexy Shoot For GQ

A lingerie shoot for GQ is required for every actress and Jennifer Lawrence did not buck the trend. And what a body she has to show off!

The 20 year-old Oscar nominee for Winter’s Bone sizzled in a Catherine Denevue inspired shoot with bikinis, smoky eyes and barely there lip color.

You’ll get to see more of Lawrence’s body this summer as Mystique in X-Men: First Class. The actress is taking on the role of the blue-skinned mutant in the origins film directed by Matthew Vaughn.

Vaughn said he cast Lawrence because she stood out – she has the acting chops to take on the role, not just the pretty face.

“There are a lot of young American actors right now who haven’t got any technique,” Vaughn said. “And to be blunt, a lot of these kids assume that just by having a good set of teeth and t*ts, smiling for the camera’s gonna be enough. I needed someone who could act.”

Jennifer also nabbed the hottest part going – Katniss Everedeen in the big screen adaptation of The Hunger Games. She is costarring with Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.

New Blu-ray Releases April 12th, 2011: Full List

Blu-ray is the new standard, DVD is on its way out and every week they are releasing many films on the relatively new format. Here’s the full list of Blu-ray movies out this week on April 12th, 15th and 16th 2011.

April 12, 2011

April 15, 2011

April 16, 2011

The obvious big highlight this week is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Although it’s the pre-cursor to the final movie (which looks great) I was bored watching it. I hope the finale really brings Part 1 full circle and redeems it. Also out this week is Country Strong which stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim McGraw and Garrett Hedlund. It’s really a strange spread of release dates this week for such a small list.

Truly Creepy First ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Trailer

Here’s the first trailer for the dark and twisted fairy tale film Sleeping Beauty.

This movie looks like it’s going to be very creepy, certainly not your mother’s Sleeping Beauty. If I didn’t already know the story of Sleeping Beauty (like we all do) and this were titled differently, I wouldn’t even know this was based on the fairy tale. From the trailer it just looks dark and twisted, hopefully there are some redeeming qualities in there someplace. In any case, my interest is piqued.

Full ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ Trailer Looks Good!

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming sci-fi/western Cowboys & Aliens from director Jon Favreau.

This movie looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun! The whole first part of the trailer is just like the teaser was, but after that it kicks off with some great visuals and a lot more about the story. This summer may be better for movies than I expected, thanks Jon Favreau!

Gwyneth Paltrow Shows Off Her Toned Abs For Self Magazine

Self magazine helps Gwyneth Paltrow flaunt her sexy abs on the cover of the May 2011 issue.

The actress is promoting her cookbook, My Father’s Daughter, and shares how her trainer has helped her reach her goals.

“I never thought that I’d be considered to have a good body. I was bony up top and kind of dumpy on the bottom,” Paltrow said. “But my trainer, Tracy Anderson, completely changed my legs, butt, arms and stomach. I feel better than ever, too.”

The 38 year-old did say that sometimes she indulges and has to get back on track.

“If I’m prepping for something or I’ve been eating a lot of pie, I do two hours a day, six days a week for two weeks,” Gwyneth told the magazine.

She also shares recipes from her book and exercise tips in this issue. Check out more at  Self.com.

First ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ Trailer Lands

Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming prequel Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

The visual effects are amazing! It’s pretty astonishing to see how far technology has come since the first movie. In terms of the story, it doesn’t exactly seem all that compelling to me since we know the outcome. I’m hoping this movie has a solid script and doesn’t rely too heavily on the visuals.
