Nick Cassavetes Replaced Liam Neeson in ‘The Hangover Part II’

A last minute change required a reshoot of the much talked about tattoo artist scene in The Hangover Part II. Liam Neeson had to be cut out and Nick Cassavetes was his replacement.

Director Todd Phillips decided to reshoot the scene in which the cameo featured, and Liam Neeson is no longer available. (Blame the Clash of the Titans sequel.) So he’s been replaced by The Notebook director Nick Cassavetes.

It was originally going to be a Mel Gibson cameo until Zack Galifianakis protested his appearance in the movie, leading to Neeson being cast. I bet Todd Phillips decided to pick him since he already looks like he could be a tattoo artist with that neck tattoo. I’m disappointed that Neeson got cut, he was probably great. I’m hoping they put his cameo on the Blu-ray release.

Lady Gaga Covers Harper’s Bazaar For May

While everyone was anticipating and talking about Lady Gaga on the cover of American Vogue, her May 2011 cover on  Harper’s Bazaar was issued fairly quietly. No matter, Gaga’s quotes are certainly going to make up for it.

The “Born This Way” singer believes she channeled the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen when she wrote the song.

“I think he planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote ‘Born This Way.’ I think he’s up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing.” Supporting Gaga’s claim was the decision by the label–not Gaga herself–to move up the release date for “Born This Way,” ultimately to the exact day of the one-year anniversary of McQueen’s death. “When I heard that, I knew he planned the whole damn thing. I didn’t even write the f*cking song. He did!”

While the 25 year-old singer feels McQueen was in charge of her single, she says she’s in complete control of her body as canvas for her artistic expression and isn’t interested in marring that with plastic surgery.

“I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have,” Gaga told HB. “I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification.”

“I am an artist, and I have the ability and the free will to choose the way the world will envision me.”

Always the provacateur, that Gaga. Her issue is on sale April 26th.

The photo shoot by Terry Richardson is pretty bland for a Gaga fashion spread. More photos are under – see if you agree.

Emma Roberts Is Seventeen’s May Cover Girl

Emma Roberts is sensational on the cover of Seventeen magazine’s May 2011 issue.

The Scream 4 star shared how she enjoys going to parties, but isn’t there just to be seen.

“I like to go to parties if I know who’s going to be there, and if it’s people I want to be with,” Emma said. “I don’t just go to go. And I always drive myself, because I hate being stuck places—there’s nothing worse that going out and then being stuck!”

The 20 year-old also said she does not think most guys have style, so she doesn’t take fashion advice from them.

“I never ask boys’ opinions on clothes, ever,” Roberts said. “I really think, unless you think the guy has style, don’t ask. So I only ask my girl friends. I don’t trust guys’ opinions on style!”

‘The Vampire Diaries’ “The Last Dance” – Who’s Last Dance Will It Be?

The upcoming episode of The Vampire Diaries is set to really throw viewers for a major loop. Episode 2.18 “The Last Dance” airs tomorrow night and it is number 5 on the countdown to the season finale.

After last week’s episode where our gang is infiltrated by Klaus in Alaric form one of the deaths the cast and writers have spoken about is about to go down. Damon goes all out for Elena and Bonnie and Jeremy begin to argue as he worries about how she’ll survive with her newly acquired witchy abilities. Matt and Sheriff Forbes are still being sneaky, trying to find out everything they can about Team Vampire and there is another high school theme dance to get everyone in the same room – you know it’s gonna go down when there is a dance!

Here is the official synopsis:

DANCING WITH DANGER — As the high school prepares to throw a “1960s Decade Dance,” Elena (Nina Dobrev) starts receiving disturbing messages from Klaus via an unusual source.  Bonnie (Katerina Graham) tries to reassure Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) that she is strong enough to help Elena, but a worried Jeremy asks Stefan (Paul Wesley) for advice.  Caroline (Candice Accola) talks Matt (Zach Roerig) into taking her to the dance.  Expecting Klaus to show up at the dance, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) attend as chaperones, but Klaus is playing a complicated game that keeps them on edge.  Finally, Damon comes up with a new plan of action that shocks and upsets everyone.

Photos and preview videos are below. The episode airs Thursday April 14th at 8pm.

Taking guesses on who bites it this week in the comments below. My guess – Jeremy – and no, I don’t want it to happen, but it would be just the kind of terrible surprise TVD dishes out. It can’t be Elena, Stefan or Damon – that’s a given. Alaric is too obvious and Matt and Sheriff Forbes are kind of Team Human now, so I dunno about them. Bonnie is too integral to the Klaus plot, so it’s unlikely it’s her and Tyler (Michael Trevino) is still gone for another week. It could be Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning) but she’s finally getting some story line – that would be a shame.

‘Deadliest Catch’ Season 7 Premiere The Old Guard Vs The Young Guns

Season 7 of Deadliest Catch premiered last night on the Discovery Channel and the beloved Captain Phil Harris started off the season with the opening narration.

The skipper’s voice, who’s death was chronicled on the show last season, was heard telling the viewers that even through the bad times, fishing was good to him. The seas were the one place he’d always wanted to be.

With that, all seven of this year’s boats (including the two new vessels) gathered on the water to bury Phil’s ashes at sea. Fireworks, pistols firing and a few words sent Harris on his spiritual way, but he was never far from many of the Captains and crew members’ thoughts.

The new Captains Elliot Reese on the Ramblin’ Rose and Scott “Junior” Campbell of the Seabrook were this year’s Young Guns, brought on it seems to showcase the changing attitudes of the younger fishermen rising to helm boats as the seasoned vets appeared more haggard and worse for the wear than in previous seasons.

Captains Johnathan Hillstrand and Keith Colburn struck out at least initially, with the first set of gear in the Bering Sea. Both skippers came up empty, in particular Hillstrand who had fished the same scallop beds for 3 seasons with incredible success, pulled blanks as they brought up empty pot after pot.

Captian Sig Hansen did only a little better with the Northwestern showing some crab and Captain Bill Wichrowski of the Kodiak not getting much either.

With six of the boats on the water, the one still missing, Captain Phil’s Cornelia Marie hadn’t left the docks. Phil’s sons, Jake and Josh Harris brought back Captain Derrick Ray (who took on the boat last season when the Captain was rushed to the hospital.) They spent time getting the gear and boat ready (it had been dormant through the summer after the Opilio crab season finished.)

The boys decided, with Captain Ray to head out to the far north of the fleet and attempt to fish the possibly very lucrative Blue crab. The fishery had been closed for over 10 years because of the dwindling number of the species and the three decided to try their luck and skill on the waters. The show closed out with boat finally getting to the grounds and the first pot being pulled.

The season started on a relatively conflict free note with the exception of Captain Ray and Cornelia engineer Steve Ward butting heads initially, but it seemed to blow over fairly quick.

Jake Anderson, Edgar Hansen, Freddie Maugatai, Scott Hillstrand, Monty Colburn and Mike Fortner were among the returning crew members for the 2010 Red King crab season, but this year seems to be about transition. An aging fleet that needs an injection of youth to keep it alive and flourishing.

Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution: L.A. Public School District Isn’t Having It

After taking on Huntington, West Virginia last year, British celebrity chef and healthy eating advocate Jamie Oliver tried to bring his vision to the Los Angeles United School District and was soundly rejected.

Season 2 of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution showed that public school officials, resistance is anything but futile – they will go down kicking and screaming as far as adopting healthier choices for kids’ meals are concerned.

The chef was turned away by the School Board and barred from filming in any school or asking the children about their lunches and food options on school grounds. He turned to Ryan Seacrest (who also produces Jamie’s show) to enlist parents and advocates to get the Board to change it’s mind.

“In my whole career I’ve never been blocked from an institution. Now I need the parents to support me to help me get into those schools,” Oliver told Seacrest’s radio show audience.
