Rumored couple Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder took another tentative step into the limelight as an off-screen couple when the two popped up at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Last Night at the BMCC Theater in NYC Monday night.

In the photo above (click on through to enlarge it), you will see Somerhalder to the left, waiting on the red carpet, as Dobrev lines up to pose for the photographers.

The duo aren’t really hiding being together – yet they are kinda toying with the extra publicity a celebrity couple brings. Testing the waters? Or smart PR? A little of both perhaps.

Dobrev was asked about the on-screen chemistry between Elena and Damon (The Vampire Diaries characters she and Somerhalder portray) at yesterday’s event.

“[Damon and Elena] definitely have chemistry,” she shared. “But right now, she’s just trying to survive the day.”

Gwyneth Paltrow has landed a very nice fashion gig with Coach.

The Country Strong star will be the brand ambassador for the accessories goods business and will be in the 70th anniversary advertising running in the fall of 2011 and into early 2012.

“I grew up in New York City and I’ve always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand,” the star said in a statement. “I will never forget getting my first Coach bag.”

The company’s president and creative director, Reed Krakoff, said that Paltrow was “a natural choice…She embodies the spirit, energy and elegance of the Coach brand.”

These ads are slated to be in European and Asian markets only, as of now.

Paltrow is no stranger to corporate fashion schilling. She has modeled for Tod’s and Christian Dior in the past.

The cast of Glee is in New York City filming the season two finale episode and what a stir they are causing.

If you were a fan and were trying to spot them to get autographs or photos, just look for the kids in the brightest colored clothes.

Among the crazy bright costumes: Lea Michele is dressed like a technicolor Marlo Thomas from the 60s show That Girl. Dianna Agron has a crayon orange trench coat, Heather Morris has the greenest jacket this side of a leprechaun, Ashley Fink has a baby blue hoodie and Jenna Ushkowitz wears a jade colored coat. Love it!

The cast also got a nice little hello from Mayor Bloomberg on Monday. Holding a press conference, the Mayor ribbed the cast about Finn and Rachel (Monteith and Michele.)

“Mayors don’t get a lot of time to watch television, so I don’t know much about this season’s plot but actually it would be great to see what happens with Finn and Rachel,” joked Bloomberg,

The episode will air May 24th and bring season 2 to a close.

Calling out Paris Hilton publicly is almost a national pastime and Fairly Legal star Sarah Shahi steps up to the plate and takes a swing at the reality star.

After an alleged traffic run-in between the socialite and actress, Shahi spilled her thoughts on Hilton and her existence through twitter.

“Paris Hilton- worst driver ever. Almost hit me, then ran a stop sign,” Shahi tweeted. “what if there was a kid around that corner, you dumb b—h.”

“Paris Hilton- horrible excuse for a human being,” she continued. “What an irresponsible person… What a lame existence…”

The 31 year-old star, who has a 2 year-old child with Reba star Steve Howey, also said she wouldn’t be so upset if she wasn’t a mom.

“One more thing blonde piece of shit- you’re not an elitist just because you have money. You should apologize… To humanity.” nowi’mdone,” Shahi concluded.

You certainly can’t accuse Shahi of holding back.

Sometimes you should just let a sleeping Mama Grizzly lie.

Levi Johnston is getting ready to stir up a whole hornets nest with his Sarah Palin & Family tell-all called Deer In The Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs and is due out in the fall.

Johnston, the former boyfriend of Bristol Palin, said he’s doing this so people can learn his side.

“I want to tell the truth about my relationship with the Palins . . . my sense of Sarah, and my perplexing fall from grace — how I feel and what I’ve learned.  I’m doing this for me, for my boy Tripp and for the country,” the soon-to-be 21 year-old said in a statement.

The book is being billed as a coming-of-age story.

“This is a sweet and funny book with a touch of irony; a fascinating tale of a misunderstood boy figuring out how to be a man and a father after being thrust into the spotlight and subsequent media circus at a very young and vulnerable age,” Stacy Creamer, Touchstone vice president and publisher, said in a statement. “Levi has seen the Palin family up close and personal and is ready to tell his story.”

This isn’t the only Palin centered tome headed to bookstores and Kindles. Bristol reportedly has one in the works, and Sarah’s former gubernatorial chief-of-staff Frank Bailey has Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin coming out this fall as well.

Another offering about Sarah is due in autumn from best selling author Joe McGinniss, adding more Palin fuel to the fire.

It’s shaping up to be a Very Palin Season.

What a payday this could be!

It is believed that Angelina Jolie has inked a record $10 million deal to become the new face of luxury brand Louis Vuitton.

The 35 year-old actress is said to have a photo shoot lined up with famed photographer Annie Leibovitz within the next two weeks for a fall ad campaign.

Madonna and Jennifer Lopez have been part of previous advertising for the fashion house. The current ads feature models Freja Beha Erichsen, Raquel Zimmermann and Kristen McMenamy for spring 2011.

Jolie was the face of St. John’s until last year when the company decided the actress overshadowed the line and they chose model Karen Elson to take the photogenic lead.

Kevin James and wife Steffiana De La Cruz have added a baby boy to their family.

Steffiana gave birth to a healthy son on Easter Sunday (April 24th) in Boston. This is the first boy for the couple who married in 2004.

Kannon Valentine James joins his big sisters Sienna-Marie, 5, and 3 year-old Shea.

The actor is currently in Boston shooting the film Here Comes The Boom with Salma Hayek. The 46 year-old will star in the comedy Zookeeper following Boom.

Ten year old Willow Smith attended the 133rd Annual White House Easter Egg Roll yesterday in a shorts suit that appears to have been made from my Aunt Lorraine’s family room couch circa 1975.   Willow signed autographs as she arrived with her mom, Jada Pinkett Smith, and her brother Jaden Smith.   Later, she shed the jacket (the shorts were somehow much more tolerable as a separate) and rocked the stage on the South Lawn for an audience of 30,000.

Many celebrities have shown a great deal of support for recovery efforts following the Japanese earthquake and tsunami on March 11, but few have such personal reasons to be involved as 90210‘s Shenae Grimes.  She was in Japan at the time, and experienced the quake from Kamakura, outside of Tokyo.   (Read about her experience at The Huffington Post.)

Earlier this month, Shenae launched her “Spread The Heart” campaign, designed to raise awareness of the continued relief needs in Japan (she suggests donations be made to the Yoshiki Foundation America).   In a new series of pics promoting the effort, photographer Tyler Shields captured Shenae sporting the campaign’s signature temporary heart tattoo on her face.  Also, she’s not wearing much.
