Taylor Swift stepped out to the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

Swift was wearing a J Mendel gown in a light toffee color, accented with black embroidery and sheer panels for contrast. It had lots of draping and a long train for a striking visual on the red carpet.
