Before they were married, Prince William and Kate Middleton famously said that they intended to manage their household – a cottage in Anglesey, North Wales near the base where he is stationed as a Search and Rescue pilot for the Royal Air Force  – without servants.

And just a week after their wedding, it’s clear that they meant it.  The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted shopping for groceries at a local grocery store.  She had her security detail with her (they’re on duty 24/7), but aside from that and of course the paparazzi following her around, she stocked up on basics just like any other young wife.   Reports say she “skipped” across the parking lot as she returned her empty cart.
