Michael Jackson died nearly two years ago, but that hasn’t stopped self-serving people from trying to capitalize off him yet. In a truly tasteless and tacky move, a New York woman named Shellie Smith is suing Jackson’s estate for $10,000,000. She claims that Jackson gave her herpes in the 1970s, and she wants him to pay – posthumously.
In two separate claims, she says they began having a sexual relationship in the late 1970s (either 1977 or 1979).
“Shortly thereafter, I began to get blisters on my legs, face and lips. He was my only partner… At this time, I am unable to have a full and vibrant life due to the complications of this disease.
Michael knew I was getting blisters on my body, however, he continued to have sex with me.”
As though she had no control over this. Come on! If you thought someone had given you an STD, why would YOU keep having sex with THEM? If this story is even true, it’s probably because in 1979 Michael was blowing the hell up with Off The Wall, and just like everyone else in his life, she probably thought she’d get whatever she could off of him. And herpes is awful, but why start complaining about it after 30 years?
But chances that her story is true are not that likely. In 2010 Smith filed a suit for spousal support, claiming that she had secretly been married to Michael.
