Elle MacPherson looked like a tall, cool glass of water at the NBC upfronts.   She is still totally fabulous at age 47.

Elle was on hand to promote her new reality fashion design show, Fashion Star.  It’s a competition show in which aspiring designers take on weekly design challenges and are eliminated one by one.  If you think that sounds a lot like Project Runway, you’d be correct.   Hey, if it worked for Heidi Klum and Bravo, it might work for Elle and NBC, right?  Supposedly what sets Fashion Star off from Project Runway is that the clothes are intended to be more “accessible,” aka stuff people might actually wear.

Look for Elle’s new show on NBC in 2012.

Justin Bieber continues to grow his line of truly inexplicable beauty products.  He’s just announced that he will soon launch a women’s perfume – a “fruity” fragrance called Someday.   Why???  He explained:

“Let’s be real, the way a girl smells is very important to a guy!  I have such a deep connection with my fans, so creating a fragrance that I personally love is another way I can bring them closer to my world.”

Come on, let’s be honest.  What he wants his fans to bring to his world is cash.  That’s the only reason for the Biebs to lend his name to a perfume.  (Or a nail polish, for that matter.)  So you’d best believe he’s not stopping there – up next for Justin:  a body lotion and hair products.

Christina Aguilera attended the NBC upfront presentation this week to promote her new show, The Voice.  The show is based on a Dutch singing competition show similar to X Factor or American Idol.  Christina is one of the judges and vocal coaches, along with Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, and country singer Blake Shelton.

The show has only been on the air since last month but it’s already a hit – NBC has picked it up for a second season.

Xtina is still looking a bit worn out.  Makes you wonder if she’s still overdoing it with the drinking.  More photos of Christina follow.

Janet Jackson attended the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala held as part of the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival.

Miss Jackson chose a trendy color blocking dress from Haider Ackermann‘s Fall 2011 line. The eggplant colored skirt with olive green top is banded at the waist with a thin blue ribbon belt and matching nails (nice touch!)

I do like this look on her and the colors, but they are awfully dark for an early summertime bash.

Saturday Night Live alums and homegirls Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made an appearance at NBC’s upfront presentation this week.  Both of their shows, 30 Rock and Parks & Recreation are safely ensconced in NBC’s lineup, so they should both be feeling pretty good.

Tina looks fantastic, as always.  Is there really a baby bump under there?  Amy is Mommy to a new baby herself – baby Abel James is just 9 months old.

Not that you need an excuse to check out pics of Ryan Gosling but I saw these photos this morning and wondered how many times the dude hit his snooze alarm before heading to his photo call cause it really looks like Ryan is still in his pajama top.

Having said that, Gosling is delicious no matter what he’s wearing and the actor hit the red carpet in comfy PJ style (yeah I know it’s not really a sleepy time top,) for his latest movie Drive at the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival.

The 30 year-old actor plays a Hollywood stunt driver with a temper who moonlights as a getaway driver-for-hire.

He costars with Brian Cranston, Carey Mulligan and Christina Hendricks.

Even in pseudo jammies he looks ridiculously hot.

A Florida car accident has claimed the life of wrestling superstar ‘Macho Man‘ Randy Savage.

Savage suffered a heart attack while driving and his vehicle went out of control, jumping a concrete meridian and hitting a tree head on.

His wife of one year, Lynn, was a passenger in the Jeep at the time of the cardiac arrest. She was treated for minor injuries.

TMZ reports that both parties were wearing their seat belts and no alcohol was involved.

Savage started with the then WWF (now it’s WWE) and was a very popular wrestler in the late 80s through the 90s. He was particularly noted for his rivalries and the grudge matches he held all while sporting some of the most flamboyant costuming the ring ever saw.

Scott Weiland‘s life of rock n roll and addictions has been well-documented but the singer has revealed a shocking sexual assault from his childhood in his memoir Not Dead and Not For Sale.

The Stone Temple Pilots lead singer recounts a terrifying incident from his past in excerpts at Spin magazine.

At 12 year-old and living in Ohio a “big muscular guy, a high school senior… [who] rode the bus with me every day to school… invited me to his house. The dude raped me. It was quick, not pleasant. I was too scared to tell anyone. ‘Tell anyone,’ he warned, ‘and you’ll never have another friend in this school. I’ll ruin your f****n’ reputation.’ Adds Weiland, “This is a memory I suppressed until only a few years ago when, in rehab, it came flooding back. Therapy will do that to you.”

Weiland also recounts how he first met Courtney Love at the Chateau Marmont after a fight with his then wife.

“That’s where I ran into another one of my dealer’s best customers, Courtney Love,” he writes. “She was with Amanda de Cadenet, the photographer/socialite. As fate would have it, their room was next to mine. That night Courtney and I got high as she and Amanda dressed for dinner at the home of Jack Nicholson. For a while, Ms. Love inserted herself into my ever-more-erratic story. We were never lovers but were rather close at the start.”
