Leonardo DiCaprio may have moved on from his relationship with Bar Refaeli right into Blake Lively’s arms.
Word came last week that DiCaprio and Refaeli split and within days, Leo is photographed with the Gossip Girl on a private yacht in the French Riviera.
Lively and DiCaprio met through pal Jeremy Renner and The Town actress was recently in the mix for Baz Luhrman’s The Great Gatsby movie with Leo in the title role.
Lively lost out on the role of Daisy to Carey Mulligan on screen but seems to have won off screen.
The identity of the mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s alleged love child has been revealed according to multiple reports.
Mildred Baena, a 50 year-old former housekeeper and assistant to the family for 20 years, is the mother to Arnold’s son.
The child is believed to be about 14 years-old and Baena and Schwarzenegger’s wife, Maria Shriver, are said to have been pregnant at the same time. Shriver would have been expecting the couple’s youngest child.
Baena’s MySpace page has several photos of the woman and her son, and on the social networking site, she claims to be ‘dating’ and ‘looking for a serious relationship.’
TMZ reports that Schwarzenegger paid Baena $1,200 a week and didn’t find out that he was the father until the child was a toddler. The website also reports the child’s age to be around 10 or 11.
Debra Messing is headed back to prime time TV with the drama Smash.
NBC has picked up the pilot, which stars Messing, Anjelica Huston, Katherine McPhee, Megan Hilty and Jack Davenport as a group of writers, directors and actors putting together a play based on Marilyn Monroe’s life.
The show will feature musical numbers each episode, but Messing is quick to point out – it’s not Glee.
“I think Glee is extraordinary and original and fabulous,” the Will & Grace actress told EW. “I think Smash is similar in that there is singing, but I think that’s where the similarities end”
“Glee is a comedy and ours is a drama,” Messing continued. “And Glee is in a fantastic sort of elevated world and Smash is completely naturalistic, a very real look at life in New York as an actor, producer, composer, lyricist, what have you.”
The series centers on a desire to create a Broadway musical based on the life of Marilyn Monroe — written by the successful songwriting duo of Tom (Tony Award nominee Christian Borle, “Legally Blonde: The Musical”) and Julia (Emmy Award winner Debra Messing, “Will & Grace”). Julia recently began the process of adopting a child with her husband of many years, but her focus is torn when she has the opportunity to write another Broadway hit. A rivalry soon forms for the lead role between a youthful, inexperienced Midwestern beauty (Katharine McPhee, “American Idol”) — who is trying to find fame in the big city against all odds — and stage veteran (Megan Hilty, “9 to 5: The Musical”), who’s determined to leave the chorus line and finally get her big break. A tenacious producer Eileen (Oscar winner, Anjelica Huston, “Prizzi’s Honor”) discovers the “Marilyn” project and jumps on board with a brilliant director (Jack Davenport, “Pirates of the Caribbean” films) — whose talent is matched by his cunning and egocentric amorality.
Produced by Steven Spielberg, the show lands on NBC’s midseason 2011/2012 schedule.
Taylor Swift covers InStyle for June and tells the magazine she’s still an optimist for love, despite her high profile relationships (and break-ups) with Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal.
“There are no rules when it comes to love,” the country music superstar said. “I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you’re going to fall in love with.”
“You never know who’s going to come into your life – and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don’t think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I’m with them.”
Swift, 21, says she is making time for happiness, not just hoping it will come along.
“I have this really high priority on happiness and finding something to be happy about.”

Keanu Reeves has officially passed on the lead role in the upcoming live-action version of the highly acclaimed Japanese animated film Akira.
Earlier this month, Warner Bros., in yet another attempt to get an A-list star with international appeal to anchor the increasingly expensive AKIRA, began informal talks with Keanu Reeves about taking the lead role in the film. The discussions were early but optimistic as Reeves seemed to have interest in the material but we can confirm that Reeves has officially joined Brad Pitt, James Franco and Ryan Gosling as actors who’ve passed on starring in AKIRA.
This is a big sci-fi story, which seems to fit Reeves like a glove. There must be some good reason for so many actors passing on this project. Warner Brothers is making major adjustments in the pre-production process for this movie, hopefully with the fixes they are pursuing will attract a good lead for the project. Anyone who’s seen the original animated Akira knows, this movie won’t be able to avoid having a huge budget.
Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are set to team up once again in the new comedy Turkey Bowl.
Warner Bros has closed a deal forTurkey Bowl, a comedy that will re-team The Other Guys stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as guys from football-obsessed towns who lead rival teams in an annual tackle football game for bragging and trash-talking rights. The tackle games are grandiose, and I’m told they plan to pack it with fun cameos, just the way they did during the rival broadcaster gang fights in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
I thought they were a great duo in The Other Guys, so this is positive news. I’m really hoping they manage to pull off the same level of hilarity for Turkey Bowl. They’re clearly hooking in to the football crazed American public. I seriously don’t expect anything amazing here, but the dynamics between these two is certainly better than many buddy cop pairing attempts in the past. Given the title and subject matter, I’d expect to see this one around Thanksgiving of 2012.
Here’s the latest of the many posters for the upcoming comic book movie Green Lantern.
So very many posters for this movie, this one fits right in with the rest of them. I’m getting anxious to see how this one turns out in the end, seems like it could spell trouble for Ryan Reynolds if it’s not good.
The new film The Beaver starring Mel Gibson reportedly received a ten minute standing ovation today after it was screened at The Cannes Film Festival.
The Cannes Film Festival premiere of the Jodie Foster-directed The Beaver just ended, and I’m told that there was a 10-minute standing ovation for the film and its star, Mel Gibson.
The movie hasn’t been receiving that kind of praise here in the United States. It probably won’t do well in the box office here either, likely because of Mel Gibson‘s bad press in the last couple of years. Of course, he’s made some poor choices, and to many people he’s perceived as a racist. I wonder if it’s really going to kill his career? My guess is no, I think he’s got enough loyal fans to keep a career for years to come. I’m sure if everyone in the limelight had their dirty secrets exposed, they’d lose a lot of fans too.
Mega-producer Harvey Weinstein is confident that yet another sequel will eventually be made. Here’s what he said about the possibility of Scream 5:
I wish it would have been better domestically but foreign [sales] are so strong that we’ll do over $100 million worldwide. It’s at $90 now, with about five or six major countries to go and a lot of small ones. We’ll probably do $110 million. It’s not the worst thing in the world that’s ever happened…. I’m sure [Wes Craven is] going to do a sequel.
This isn’t really surprising, it’s one of those iconic franchises. It may not hold it’s audience here in the USA but it’s obviously still popular all over the world. I’m sure Wes Craven will be happy to do another one, I just wonder how they are going to make it fresh considering the self parodying nature of the Scream 4. I must say, I did enjoy Scream 4, so when Scream 5 comes along I probably won’t shy away.
