Pippa Middleton Shops In London (Photos)

Photographers caught the Royal Sister In Law, Pippa Middleton, out doing a bit of shopping last Friday.  Lots of good places to shop where she was in West London!  Pippa was home briefly in between a holiday in Madrid, where she spent time with her ex-boyfriend George Percy, and a weekend jaunt to Paris to attend the French Open.

Speaking of Percy, Pippa’s reportedly taken a job doing “office stuff” and some advocacy for his geothermal energy firm.  Not sure how she’s going to juggle this venture with her two other jobs – planning upscale parties for event planners Table Talk, and editing the newsletter for the family business, Party Pieces – but I’m sure she’ll find a way.

‘Real Steel’ Posters Fail to Stimulate

Here are the two posters for the upcoming Hugh Jackman family movie Real Steel.

These posters are nothing special, much like a real boxing movie would have, yet this isn’t a real boxing movie. Everything about this movie just seems silly to me, I get the feeling it won’t do all that well. I’ve yet to hear anyone say anything positive when they hear about it or see the trailer. I hope Jackman doesn’t take any more roles like this.

‘The Smurfs’ Destroy Human Race With a Smile on New Poster

Here’s the latest poster for the upcoming movie The Smurfs.

Looks like they are killing the population of earth and to doing it with grins on their faces, just cruel. All kidding aside this movie doesn’t look revolutionary by any stretch, but it might be fun for the kids and for the parents who used to love the little blue people.

Geri Halliwell In Monaco: Fun In The Sun!

Geri Halliwell joined numerous stars hob-nobbing  in Monaco for the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend.  After the race, the former Spice Girl and her sweetie, Henry Beckwith, hung out on the Mediterranean in Monaco and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.    (Is she wearing a suit from her swimwear collection?) They were obviously having a great time, but then who wouldn’t, on a yacht in the French Riviera?  Look at that water – so gorgeous!

More cute pictures of these two lovebirds after the jump.

Rob Kardashian Has No Confidence That Sister Kim Will Actually Marry

Kim Kardashian has finally found a man to put a ring on it, but not everyone in her family believes fiance Kris Humphries will actually close the deal.   Her brother Rob Kardashian told The Hollywood 5 radio show that he’s not so sure a wedding is actually in his sister’s future.  He even thought their engagement announcement was a joke.

“We were having a family dinner and we didn’t know what it was for, we just thought everyone was in town, we were at my mom’s.  She had a ring on and we didn’t know what it was for, and we didn’t believe her and we thought it was a joke, no one really, like, did anything, and it was like, oh wait, then it got crazy and there were ponies, it was really bizarre!”

Ponies?  Sadly, I could totally see the Kardashians having ponies.   So why is Rob so skeptical?

“I just don’t feel confident because Kim has always been so like, you know, she’s, how old?  She’s just been through a lot of relationships and she always gets hurt or never finds the right dude.”

However, he was also quick to add that if there was a right dude for Kim, Kris might be he:

“Kris is a really good dude.  They’ve had their own personal, private relationship a long time now and I feel like they are a really good match for each other.”

As for whether Kim’s monstrous 20.5 carat engagement ring is real, Rob says it is.    He says it “takes over three of her fingers.”  At least he’s sure of that.

Mario Testino Dishes On Wills & Kate’s Engagement Shoot

Über-talented photographer Mario Testino was best known for his fashion shoots until earlier this year when he was selected by Kate Middleton and Prince William to take their engagement photos.    (He did an incredible job.  I love these portraits.)  Testino recently shared a little about what it was like to work with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

What did the “young couple in love,” as he called them, talk about during the shoot?  Testino said:

“You know, it’s not so much what they say to each other because there is no time.  Everything is compacted into a very short time because we have to produce these pictures. It’s more like me screaming and trying to get everything to go.  Well, not screaming, but getting in a fluster, I guess you say.”

He also said that Kate “looked fabulous” (duh!) and that she and her Prince “exuded sheer happiness.”   Of course they did.   We’d all look fabulous if our engagement photos were being taken by Mario Testino, wouldn’t we?  I actually love that they chose a fashion photographer for their photos.  So modern!  So young!  So totally them!

David O. Russell Abandons ‘Uncharted’

David O. Russell, director of the academy award winning film The Fighter was set to direct the video game adaptation Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, but he’s dropped out of the project.

David O Russell is no longer developing Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. He’s stepped out of the project. Since getting the Oscar accolades on The Fighter, Russell has been juggling a number of projects. Sony Pictures is getting a new writer to work from the draft done by Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer.

I had a feeling this would happen, I just couldn’t see the same duo (Russell & Wahlberg) going from The Fighter to a video game movie. Apparently the script that Russell had written for the movie didn’t follow the story in the game very closely anyway. Now the movie needs a new director and script. Most likely Mark Wahlberg won’t be a part of the project as planned since Russell dropped out. Hopefully Nathan Fillion can step into the role like fans have been begging for. I’ll keep you posted.

Broken Lizard’s ‘Baby Makers’ Grabs Paul Schneider

Paul Schneider is set to star in the new Broken Lizard comedy The Baby Makers.

The Broken Lizard gang has tapped “Parks and Recreation” alum Paul Schneider to play the male lead in the comedy troupe’s next film, “The Baby Makers,” which is an Alliance Films/IM Global presentation.

Jay Chandrasekhar (“Dukes,” “Supertroopers”) is set to direct from a script by Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow (“Ice Age: The Meltdown”).

Story follows a married couple who fail to conceive after months of trying, prompting the husband to enlist his friends’ help to rob a Pasadena sperm bank, where he made a deposit as a young man.

All of the Broken Lizard members are expected to co-star, with Kevin Heffernan playing the protag’s crazy best friend, who hooks him up with an Estonian master thief, played by Chandrasekhar. Other Broken Lizard members include Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske.

The Broken Lizard movies are hit or miss, but when they hit, they are pretty hilarious. The concept for this one is pretty funny, I love how these guys take on such a variety of characters in each movie they do. This is much more down to earth story-wise than the last few movies they’ve done. Hopefully it’s as good as their original Super Troopers.

Elijah Wood, Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg Starring in ‘Celeste and Jesse Forever’

Elijah Wood, Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg are set to star in the upcoming romantic comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever.

Elijah Wood has joined the cast of Celeste and Jesse Forever, the romantic comedy starring Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg, which is being directed by Lee Toland Krieger.

The script, by Jones and Will McCormack, follows a couple (Jones and Samberg) in the midst of a divorce attempting to maintain their friendship while pursuing new relationships.

Wood will play Celeste’s business partner, a metrosexual who tries to be her “saucy gay friend.”

All three of these actors are funny, I’m betting they will pull off a lot of laughs in this movie.  It’s hard to pull off a romantic comedy that appeals to a wide audience. I hope they manage to make it marketable to everyone.
