Bryce Dallas Howard hit the premiere of Gus Van Sant‘s new movie Restless on Day 3 of the Cannes Film Festival.  Bryce has deep ties to this movie – she and her father, Ron Howard, are co-producers, and her New York University classmate, Jason Lew, the movie’s scriptwriter.  Restless was the opening film for the Festival’s Un Certain Regard section, which highlights indie films.  Mia Wasikowska and Henry Hopper star.

Bryce is so pretty, but what is up with her outfit?  Did she jack a middle school choir bus en route to a concert and steal their uniforms? You’re a PRODUCER at CANNES, honey!  There is no need to look frumpy or pre-pubescent.  Be fabulous!

Shiloh Fernandez accompanied costar Ashley Greene down the red carpet of the premiere of their latest film Skateland at the ArcLight Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 12th.

Greene chose a blush pink Fendi gown and long dark hair for the event while Shiloh kept it casual with a white jacket and print shirt.

The 24 year-old actress said she relates to her character, Michelle who is “one of the guys.”

“I grew up the tomboy,” Ashley said. “I was always going outside and climbing trees and playing football with my brother — I kind of wanted to be just like him. I think I’m kind of a guy’s girl — I like football and I’m not afraid to have a beer — but I also like my manicures.”

Lady Gaga appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, and revealed that she and boyfriend Luc Carl have split.    She said:

“I don’t have a boyfriend and haven’t been on any dates recently.

That relationship really shaped me. I sort of resolved that if you can’t have the guy of your dreams, there are so many other ways to give love.”

Somewhat cryptic, in typical Gaga fashion.  But who knows what will happen.  She and Carl, who is a bartender and author of The Drunk Diet, have been off-again, on-again since 2005.  Something tells me we haven’t seen the last of these two together.

Cheryl Cole walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Habemus Papam (We Have A Pope), a film written and directed by Nanni Moretti.  The movie pokes a little gentle fun at the Vatican as it chronicles the trials and tribulations of a freshly-minted pope getting used to his new job.

Cheryl’s elegant looooooow cut gown by Stéphane Rolland Couture gave a pretty good peek at her puppies.   Looks like she forgot to use a Braza or whatever you call those adhesive bra things.  Otherwise she looks incredible, as always.

Lady Gaga strikes a pose (or three) on the cover of V magazine’s Asian issue for June.

The Born This Way singer is clad in a Thierry Mugler bodysuit and three heads adorned with beads, make-up and gears.

Interviewed by Elton John for the special issue (10 percent of the profits will be donated to relief efforts in Japan from the devestating March tsunami,) Gaga tells her pal why she felt compelled to act and help Japan.

“I have such beautiful memories of Japan and its people. And when the earthquake happened I knew saying something just wasn’t enough,” Gaga told the magazine.

“The Little Monsters have raised over $2 million purchasing these prayer bracelets I designed myself,” Gaga said. “Let’s connect cultures from around the world and help rebuild this beautiful country.”

She is however plagued by fatigue but maintains that it’s her devotion to her art and her fans that give her the drive to persevere.

“At a certain point exhaustion becomes a state of being, and mentally I have to be strong and overcome it,” she told John. “It’s like a cloud, a fog really that hovers over me. But in a way I will never ever escape it. Art is my whole life.”

“The monsters are my medicine,” she admitted. “They heal me, physically and emotionally, every night at the show.”

“I feel God through their love. I worship little monsters,” she continued. “They’re my religion. Without them I don’t exist.”

No one was able to outshine Jane Fonda on the French Riviera this week.

The 73 year-old actress was a sexy and elegant superstar at the Sleeping Beauty premiere for the 2011 Cannes International Film Festival.

Fonda chose a figure-hugging, white Emilio Pucci maxi dress with sheer panel cutouts on the sides and gold clutch for the red carpet. The dress hugged her workout queen curves and highlighted her fantastic shape.

She was a chic knockout at any age.

Now I’m going out to find her workout tapes… Immediately!
