Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Announce Their Twins Babies Names

Celebrities have a penchant for choosing names that are unique so it’s no surprise that Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon’s twins have names not found on the top 100 baby names.

The happy duo have chose Moroccan Scott Cannon for their son and Monroe Cannon for their daughter.

Both names have significance for their parents.

Moroccan was chosen because Mariah’s penthouse has a room with Moroccan inspired decor where Nick proposed to her. Scott is Nick’s middle name and his grandmother’s maiden name as well.

Monroe is to honor Marilyn Monroe and she has no middle name because Mariah is without one as well.

“It has been a long, emotional journey for this family, and I couldn’t be happier for all of them,” Mariah’s rep, Cyndi Berger told CNN.

Except for their son’s middle name – this is all about Mariah.

Didn’t Like Princess Beatrice & Eugenie’s Hats At The Royal Wedding? Too Bad Says Designer Philip Treacy

One of the most talked about fashion statements at the April 29th wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton (after Kate’s dress, of course) was Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s choice of dress and hats.

The younger cousins of William and Prince Harry had entire facebook pages devoted to how much people loathed their choices in wedding wear. Beatrice’s fascinator, in particular, was the ire of many a Royal Wedding watcher.

Don’t believe me? See the comments attached to our post – that’s just a small fraction of the outright hate that was transmitted across the web.

British milliner and designer of said hats, Philip Treacy, doesn’t give a flying fig what anyone’s opinion is to the contrary. The Princesses put their faith in his hands as he’s designed many fascinators for them before.

“No, they didn’t tell me [what they wanted] because I’ve known them for a long time and I wanted them to look gorgeous and beautiful,” the designer said.

“They trusted me to make them. Gorgeous and beautiful can be open to interpretation … I thought they looked gorgeous and beautiful. But no one is crying if anyone didn’t.”

I love that attitude.

“You can hide a lot with good clothes, but when you’re doing a video, you really can’t because the clothes get smaller!” Lopez said. “It’s like all the sudden my stomach’s out. Oh no!”

When she sees her video wardrobe that’s when she knows she has to get serious.

“Okay, I better start doing Tracy Anderson [celebrity trainer], like six times a week now.”

What’s Next For Kate Middleton Now That She’s A Duchess

Now that she is an official member of the Royal Family, what will Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge do?

After their spectacular wedding last week, Prince William & Kate Middleton have returned to the RAF base in Anglesey, where William is stationed. While he returned to work, this week, Kate has no plans of stepping into full-time Royal duties for a couple of years.

Kate is intent of keeping the spotlight off herself for a while, adjusting to her role as a military wife and leading a quiet life in the farmhouse they rent near the base.

Her public duties will be minimal and all with Prince William, nothing solo is on tap for Kate as Prince William is said to be keen on avoiding the mistakes the Palace made with his mother, Princess Diana, after her marriage to his father, Prince Charles.

She will attend a couple of charity polo events with William, the Trooping of the Color ceremony and the Duke of Edinburg, Prince Phillip’s 90th birthday celebration. She is not scheduled to attend the Royal Ascot parties this year.

A palace source said “The couple will do things as a pair after their marriage and for the foreseeable future. Catherine will not be conducting any solo engagements. The number of engagements she does with William will remain pretty level.

“Prince William has a full-time job he has to work round and that is his priority. He is committed to it for at least another two years so nothing much will change in the immediate future, apart from the fact that he and Catherine will take part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations next year.”

Kate’s friends say it’s all about normalcy for now.

“Catherine wants to enjoy her time with William as an RAF wife,’ said a friend. ‘It’s so rare that someone in her position gets the chance to live as a normal wife and she intends to make the most of it.”

Katy Perry’s Glam Cover For Vanity Fair

Katy Perry covers Vanity Fair for June 2011 and while the topics she discusses are pretty familiar fare with the songstress (boobs, Brand and bibles), she gives new insight into her upbringing.

Growing up with evangelical parents, Perry wasn’t allowed to use the word ‘devil’ to describe anything – deviled eggs or Dirt Devil vacuum cleaners included. Her mother only read stories from the bible to her, she was not allowed any secular music at all and Planned Parenthood was a very scary place.

“Growing up, seeing Planned Parenthood, it was considered like the abortion clinic,” she tells VF. “I was always scared I was going to get bombed when I was there…. I didn’t know it was more than that, that it was for women and their needs. I didn’t have insurance, so I went there and I learned about birth control.”

Despite how different she lives her life now, from how her parents envisioned it, she thinks that they have found some contentment with her success.

“I think sometimes when children grow up, their parents grow up,” Perry says of her evangelical-minister parents. “Mine grew up with me. We coexist. I don’t try to change them anymore, and I don’t think they try to change me. We agree to disagree. They’re excited about [my success]. They’re happy that things are going well for their three children and that they’re not on drugs. Or in prison.”

The 26 year-old is proud too and says she doesn’t spend time bogged down with naysayers.

“I don’t care what people say about my relationship; I don’t care what they say about my boobs. People are buying my songs; I have a sold-out tour. I’m getting incredible feedback from my music.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley At The 2011 Met Gala (Photos)

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a pink Burberry dress with a front slit and strategically placed cutouts to the 2011 Met Gala.  I am not crazy about the construction of this gown, but I love the color – it reminds me of raspberry sherbet!

Rosie was accompanied by her sweetie, Jason Statham.

Hudson chose a really beautiful flowing chiffon Versace gown in a soft shade of springtime yellow for the event and Swank, who was producer of the flick, wore a Michael Kors silver embellished top and pants in a pale bisque color.
