Jessica Alba At 2011 Costume (Met) Gala

Never one to look drab, Jessica Alba wowed at the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The Machete actress was luminescent in a champagne Ralph Lauren organza gown and gold jewelry in her hair. The soon-to-be mommy looked relaxed and gorgeous.

Zoe Saldana At 2011 Met Gala

Zoe Saldana offers up a beautiful and subtle pop of color at the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

Saldana chose a strapless column gown from Calvin Klein in a lovely and soft shade of creamy, buttery yellow. She looked really amazing and the dress is wonderful on her, but I do wish she had chosen a more dramatic statement necklace or cuff – some sort of accessory to punch up the look.

Christina Hendricks looked incredible at the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The Mad Men star chose an ombre striped strapless dress from Carolina Herrera in shades of copper that set off her red hair magnificently. The shimmering organza train and off-the-shoulder sleeves completed the autumn fairytale-like feel of the gown.

Ashley Olsen was heavenly at the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The fashion designer herself decided to go vintage in a Christian Dior number – black strapless gown with billowing and gathered white sleeves and a very revealing slit up the skirt. Her minimal make up and loosely pulled back hair completed her look.

Sofia Vergara sashayed down the red carpet for the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The Modern Family actress was gorgeous in a white bandeau top and black skirt Carolina Herrera dress with floral embroidery on the lower half. She accented it with a green ribbon sash around the waist and looked phenomenal.

Nicole Richie Goes Ultra Glam At 2011 Costume Institute Gala

Nicole Richie was among the many celebs who came out to the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featuring an exhibit Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty which honored the late designer’s body of work.

Richie went old Hollywood with Veronica Lake inspired waves and a long off-white vintage-feel dress by Jason Wu. The designer kept it modern with the sleeve cutouts and decorative embellishments.

Demi Moore walked the red carpet for the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The actress opted for a strapless, feathered dress from Prabal Gurung. She pulled her hair back and wore a black feathery fascinator to top off her look.

The black dress had a green sheen to it under the light because of the feathers.

And yes, that is Yoko Ono behind her.

Leighton Meester arrives in style for the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The Gossip Girl actress went short instead of the long gowns most women chose and picked a Louis Vuitton banded black dress with some peek-a-boo cut away at the waist line. She slicked back her hair into a ponytail and kept the accessories minimal for the best look.

Madonna was magnificent for the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

The singer chose a light cadet blue slim column dress from friend Stella McCartney. The back was embroidered with silver stars and had a very long train for a retro glam look.
